Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method for deleting of fires in tunnels or tunnel - like structures in which this tunnel or tunnel-like structure depending on one an inerting space by means of separations is formed, the section of the fire affected Includes tunnels or tunnel-like structures, and in which a further process step the oxygen content in this Inertization room due to sudden introduction of an extinguishing gas is reduced to an inert volume.
- the invention relates furthermore also a device for carrying out this method, with partitions, by means of which the tunnel or the tunnel-like structures can be divided into concentration areas which inertization spaces form, and with at least one Extinguishing gas reservoir outside the inerting rooms, the Flow-wise with the inerting spaces via inlet openings connected is.
- tunnel-like structures which as a supplement to the tunnels are essentially mine shafts, Tunnels or similar semi-open spaces to understand, the following also for the sake of simplicity can be addressed with the term “tunnel”.
- separation are to be understood as concentration barriers, by means of which the tunnel into one or more areas is subdividable, in which or in which the oxygen concentration (or the extinguishing gas concentration) from that in others Areas of the tunnel in a necessary for the extinguishing effect Dimensions differ.
- Such areas of low oxygen concentration or high extinguishing gas concentration are in the present case as "Concentration ranges" called.
- a method and a device of the type mentioned at the beginning are known for example from DE 199 34 118 C2. basis that known method and the device as well as the The present invention is the so-called “inert gas extinguishing technology", like flooding a fire-prone or on fire Space by oxygen displacing gases such as carbon dioxide, Nitrogen, noble gases and mixtures of these gases is called. Thereby these "inert gases” are also here “Extinguishing gases” are addressed, usually in special reservoirs stored compressed in adjoining rooms. If necessary is then the extinguishing gas via a piping system and corresponding Inlet openings in the relevant inerting room directed. It is known that the extinguishing effect in this Inert gas technology is based on the principle of oxygen displacement.
- Both in the method known from DE 199 34 118 C2 and the associated device, as well as in the present Invention is thus activated by activating at least two Separations formed an inerting space, these separations the tunnel in front of and behind the source of the fire against the Isolate the rest of the tunnel relatively gas-tight.
- These partitions can be formed by mechanical devices, wherein these mechanical devices can be lowered or extended Bulkheads or lamella curtains or smoke aprons are or in a preferred manner also "gas flow barriers" which function similarly to the air curtains in department store entrances.
- the first control signal mentioned at the outset for activating the partitions can for example by emergency switch or by initiative a central monitoring point (e.g. tunnel guard, Fire department), or automatically by means of a fire detection device, which will be explained below will be received.
- This task is accomplished through a fire extinguishing process in tunnels or tunnel-like structures of the aforementioned Type solved, in which a predeterminable in a third step Oxygen content in the inerting room by controlled further supply of extinguishing gas is maintained.
- an oxygen measuring device contains the measuring signals to a control unit, which the supply of extinguishing gas and possibly fresh air or Regulates oxygen in an inerting room.
- the present invention thus provides a method and a appropriate devices are available with which a fire, such as the Mont Blanc tunnel, the Tauern tunnel and recently raged in the Gotthard tunnel, with the well-known and very effective inert gas extinguishing technology can be deleted, and at the same time the measures for effectively pulling off the resulting Smoke can be hit. Because of the partitions formed inertization space yes, as explained above, a largely gas-tight against the rest of the tunnel is closed space, and since keeping the erasable Oxygen concentration in the inerting room for the Sustainable extinguishing the fire is very essential this inerting space is not easily extracted with smoke be, because the oxygen concentration or Unintentionally change the extinguishing gas concentration in the inerting room would.
- Oxygen content in the inerting room is constantly measured and if necessary, extinguishing gas is introduced into the inerting room. Consequently can be a possible loss of extinguishing gas through a smoke vent can be compensated for by supplying extinguishing gas. Consequently become the advantages of a modern and effective inert gas extinguishing technology despite a strong smoke or poison gas development applicable to tunnel fires.
- the device according to the invention provides an oxygen measuring device ready what measurement signals to a control unit emits the supply of extinguishing gas and, if necessary Regulates fresh air or oxygen in the inerting room.
- the smoke extraction device for example, in one another process step provided that depending a smoke control device in the second control signal Inerting room is activated.
- the smoke extraction device of course not even in the inerting room to be present; rather, it can also be central or for two inerting rooms are provided at the same time and only via Suction lines must be connected to the rooms themselves.
- the performance of the smoke extraction device matched to the volume of 1 or 2 inerting rooms is.
- the second control signal can in turn, like already described above for the first control signal, by emergency switch or by a central monitoring point triggered, or automatically by a fire detection device, which will be discussed below becomes.
- this second control signal which Smoke reports, also to stop the entrance other vehicles are used in the tunnel, for example a stop signal located at each tunnel entrance is activated.
- the first and the second control signal preferably come from a fire detection device, by means of which an assignment the source of the fire to a number of sections that can be rendered inert of the tunnel or tunnel-like structure.
- a fire detection device which are installed in the tunnel or tunnel-like structure in this way is that existing or emerging fires cover areas are detectable, and those in the case of a detected Fire or incipient fire using a detector the first control signal to activate the partitions and, if necessary the second control signal for activating the smoke extraction device in the affected area.
- fire detection device to understand an aspirative device where over one Pipe system with suction openings always representative Portions of the tunnel air sucked in and a detector for detection be assigned a fire parameter.
- fire parameter physical parameters, those in the area of an emerging fire or one already the resulting fire is subject to measurable changes, e.g. the ambient temperature, the solid or liquid or Gas content in the ambient air (formation of smoke particles or Aerosols or steam), or the ambient radiation.
- the detector of such a fire detection device exists from a smoke sensor, which is then only on the fire parameter "smoke particles" is aimed.
- a further development of the method according to the invention is a double one Inertization space is formed, which then consists of two neighboring ones Concentration ranges exist. This is according to the procedure provided that the middle separation between two neighboring sections of the tunnel that can be rendered inert or tunnel-like Formation is not activated when the fire detection device in both sections.
- a smoke sensor is assigned to each inerting room is that the first and / or the second control signal to the Control unit delivers.
- the oxygen measuring device and / or the Smoke sensor part of the aspirative described above Fire detection device resulting in a clear and compact fire alarm system.
- each control unit has further inputs for receiving command signals which are issued by a central monitoring point.
- a command signal can be, for example, "N 2 , ie full nitrogen flooding” in order to further reduce the oxygen content in the inerting space. This may be necessary if vehicle tires or fuel burn.
- the central monitoring point for example the tunnel guard or a fire brigade control center, will only give the command for N 2 flooding when it has been ensured that the affected inerting room has been evacuated.
- Such a command signal could also be "air or O 2 flooding”.
- Such a command can be useful if the fire has been extinguished safely and the oxygen concentration has to be quickly raised to a level that is harmless to living beings.
- an extinguishing gas reservoir is provided, it can be advantageous, only a single central extinguishing gas reservoir to keep available, which has a fluidic Line network is connected to each inerting room.
- a central extinguishing gas reservoir can be obtained from an extinguishing gas bottle battery exist, or a secondary tube or a another side room of the tunnel forms the container for this Extinguishing gas reservoir.
- the extinguishing gas reservoir must simultaneous flooding of two adjacent inerting rooms be dimensioned, namely in the event that the Fire on the border between two concentration rooms, then the double already described above Inertization space is formed.
- FIG. 1 shows a schematic illustration of a tunnel 2 whose tunnel walls 18 in the interior of the tunnel, for example aspirative fire detection device with suction lines 1 and suction openings 3 provided therein is arranged.
- These suction lines 1 are exemplary with on both sides the reference number 21 provided and indicated in Longitudinal direction of the tunnel 2 arranged and with one outside the passable tunnel tube or arranged in the walls 18 thereof Detector 5 fluidically connected.
- the detector 5 is used in a known manner to monitor the intake Air samples on fire parameters and is in turn on electrically an evaluation unit 7 connected.
- the tunnel 2 is transverse to its longitudinal direction overall four separations 4, 6, 8, 10 in three concentration ranges 12, 14, 16 divisible. Of these partitions, three are namely divisions 4, 6 and 8 fully lowered, while the partition 10 is still half lowered Condition.
- mechanical in this example Partitions in the form of rolling gates can be provided for such partitions of course also air curtains for Use that belong to the state of the art.
- the separations seal the concentration ranges 12, 14, 16 largely gas-tight against each other and against the rest of the tunnel and thus act as a barrier to concentration.
- extinguishing gas reservoirs 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19 Example of extinguishing gas reservoirs 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19 arranged, the extinguishing gas supply in the form of below contain high pressure nitrogen and flow technology with inlet openings 20 in or on the tunnel walls 18th are connected.
- the method according to the invention and that in FIGS. 1 and 2 are exemplary shown device for performing the method make use of the "inert gas extinguishing technology", that is Flooding a room that is at risk of fire or is on fire by an extinguishing gas, in the present case preferably Nitrogen.
- the fire detection device detects 1, 3, 5, 7 a fire by means of the detector 5, here as an example in the concentration range 14.
- a smoke extraction device 25; Fig. 2 explained in more detail
- second control signal separations 6, 8 immediately activated, i.e. lowered, so that with the concentration range 14 an inerting space is formed, which affects those affected by the source of the fire Area of the tunnel.
- the first Control signal activates an inerting device, which from the storage containers 13 and 15 via the inlet openings 20 quickly and very suddenly extinguishing gas in the Concentration range 14 initiates.
- an inerting device which from the storage containers 13 and 15 via the inlet openings 20 quickly and very suddenly extinguishing gas in the Concentration range 14 initiates.
- the oxygen content in the concentration range 14 constantly measured and ensured by a control unit that a Once the extinguishable oxygen or extinguishing gas concentration has been reached is maintained, in which regulated extinguishing gas continues in the concentration range 14 is initiated.
- FIG. 2 shows a schematic longitudinal section through a concentration range 14, as he basically the concentration range 14 corresponds to FIG. 1, but with different types Partitions 6, 8 and with an expanded technical facility is equipped.
- the in Fig. 2 shown burning truck in relation to the height of the passable Tunnel tube is not shown to scale. Usually remain between the top of a truck and the tunnel ceiling only about 1 to 1 1.2 meters.
- the concentration range 14 shown in FIG in turn forms an inerting space, are as partitions 6, 8 exemplarily show two double air curtains that belong to the state of the art and are suitable, the concentration range 14 as far as possible from the neighboring tunnel sections sealed off gastight.
- concentration range 14 of FIG. 2 Fire detection device with an intake line 1 and therein provided suction openings 3 installed. About these Intake lines are constantly taking air samples from the interior of the Concentration range 14 sucked in by the vertical upward arrows is indicated. These air samples will be a detection and measurement unit supplied, which from a Oxygen measuring device 22, a detector 5 for detection a fire parameter, furthermore from an evaluation unit 7 and finally a fan 24 for sucking in the air samples consists. Those measured with the oxygen measuring device 22 Oxygen concentration values are sent to a control unit 23 emitted, which the measured concentration value with a compares the specified value and takes appropriate measures.
- the detector 5 also gives when it has a fire parameter has discovered a first via its evaluation unit 7 Control signal to the control unit 23. This activated thereupon the separations 6, 8, whereupon the concentration range 14 largely gas-tight against the rest of the tunnel is sealed off. Furthermore, the control unit 23 inputs Signal to the extinguishing gas reservoir 31 and begins by sudden Introducing extinguishing gas from that extinguishing gas reservoir 31 in the concentration range 14 the inerting process.
- the detector 5 also detects the fire parameter "smoke", see above it outputs a second control signal to the control unit 23, whereupon this activates a smoke extraction device 25.
- the oxygen measuring device 22 measures the oxygen content in the inerting room 14 and gives corresponding Signals to the control unit 23, whereupon the latter Reaching the extinguishable oxygen concentration or extinguishing gas concentration continues to supply extinguishing gas from the reservoir 31, the specified low and extinguishable oxygen content in the inerting room 14, though the smoke evacuation device 25 the composition of the gases within of the room.
