Abstract
Description
Claims (7)
- Verfahren zur Herstellung von Zündkerzen mit Mittel- und Körperelektrode(n), die mit Edelmetalleinsätzen armiert sind, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man die Spitze (9) der Mittelelektrode (1) pyramidenförmig mit einem Basisdurchmesser (d) ausbildet; dass man eine Edelmetallkugel (2) mit einem Durchmesser (d) stirnseitig in einer Schweißelektrode (3) lagert; dass man unter Verflüssigung der Mittelelektrodenspitze (9) diese auf die Edelmetallkugel (2) unter definierter Schweißanpreßkraft und definierten Schweißparametern zum Verflüssigen der Mittelelektrodenspitze (9) drückt, wobei das verflüssigte Material der Mittelelektrodenspitze (9) die Edelmetallkugel (2) teilweise umfließt; und dass man nach dem Erstarren des verflüssigten Materials der Mittelelektrodenspitze (9) die Schweißelektrode (3) von der Mittelelektrode (1) mit eingebetteter Edelmetallkugel (2) trennt.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man in gleicher Weise die Körperelektrode(n) (8) mit einer Edelmetallkugel (2) armiert.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Schweißen als Widerstandsschweißen durchgeführt wird.
- Verfahren nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Edelmetallkugel (2) aus Iridium oder Iridiumlegierung besteht.
- Verfahren nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man durch Laserschmelzpunkte (5) eine weitere Fixierung der Edelmetallkugel (2) in der Stirnfläche der Mittelelektrode (1) bzw. der Körperelektrode(n) (8) bewirkt.
- Verfahren nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Durchmesser (d) der Edelmetallkugel (2) 0,4 bis 1,0 mm, vorzugsweise 0,6 bis 0,8 mm beträgt.
- Zündkerze, gekennzeichnet durch Herstellung nach mindestens einem der Verfahren gemäß Ansprüchen 1 bis 6.
