Definitions
- the invention relates to a machine for producing a fibrous web, in particular a paper or cardboard web, from at least one fiber suspension, with at least one porous belt rotating in one direction, in particular a mesh belt, a felt belt or the like, and with at least a suction box, which is a closed box with a vacuum source is connectable and on the top of which the tape touches Plurality of perpendicular to the running direction of the belt at a respective distance extending covering strips are attached with the formation of suction slots, includes.
- Such a machine including the belt and suction box, is from the German published application DE 196 46 792 A1 (PB10395 DE) of the applicant is known.
- Such suction boxes are in the wet part, which usually the screen section and the press section includes, used by paper or cardboard machines to the Improve drainage of the fibrous web.
- Such suction boxes extend usually over the entire width of the machine and are subjected to negative pressure.
- the screen belt or the felt belt on which the fibrous web rests runs over covering strips that extend perpendicular to the running direction of the belt, wherein suction slits are formed between the individual covering strips, via which a vacuum applied to the suction box on the fibrous web acts.
- the dry content of a fibrous web in the wet section resulting from the dewatering is greatly impaired by the rewetting by the belts guiding the fibrous web, in particular sieve belts. This applies in particular when separating the fibrous web from the leading belt.
- One reason for this is that the water from the belt mesh is not sufficiently removed due to the low air speed above the suction box ("belt drainage").
- the speed at which the air flows through a belt perpendicular to the belt level depends on the negative pressure applied (pressure drop, today up to max. 0.068 MPa) and on the nature of the web (basis weight, raw material, degree of grinding, dryness, ...) usually no further increase.
- the speed at which the air flows through a belt in the belt plane in turn depends on the negative pressure applied and on the web width of the suction pads.
- the web width of the suction pads of flat suction cups, wet suction cups and other suction boxes is larger than or equal to 10 mm today. These dimensions make it even more difficult to suck the air in the belt plane through the belt mesh.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of a machine of the type mentioned Type to improve so that the tape drainage noticeably improves and thus a rewetting of the fibrous web by the leading them Bands further reduced, preferably avoided altogether. As a result of this the resulting dry content of the fibrous web becomes clear elevated.
- the increase in the air speed in the belt plane causes the water to be removed from the belt mesh ("belt dewatering"), with the result that the rewetting of the fibrous web is further reduced and the dry content of the fibrous web is significantly increased.
- the desired effect increases as the contact area becomes smaller, and a Venturi effect can be produced with a suitable design.
- the covering strip according to the invention can be used as any strip in the suction box.
- the covering strip of the suction box - seen perpendicular to the running direction of the belt - with such a to the belt the last covering strip on the suction box is.
- the first covering strip attached to the suction box can be used be provided with such a contour.
- the majority of the covering strips of the suction box are directed towards the belt Have outer contours with preferably the same shape.
- the outer contour of the covering strip in a first embodiment has a curved, an arc-shaped, a parabolic and / or a polygonal shape, preferably with a continuity.
- the outer contour of the covering strip according to the invention has a flat shape, preferably running parallel to the band.
- the outer contour is preferably provided with at least one upstream and / or downstream radius with a value of 1 mm to 10 mm, preferably 2.5 mm to 7.5 mm.
- the outer contour can also be provided with a deburring or a bevel at the end.
- the covering strip in the region of the outer contour is provided with a multiplicity of supporting ribs which preferably run in the running direction of the band and which touch the band.
- the support ribs have a width of 1 mm to 15 mm, preferably 2 mm to 12 mm, as seen in the running direction of the belt, and they are preferably with at least one radius on the upstream and / or downstream side with a value of 0.5 mm to 10 mm, preferably from 1 mm to 7.5 mm, provided.
- the outer contour can also be designed as a deburring or a bevel.
- the support ribs there are various possibilities - seen in the direction of travel of the belt: they can be arranged in approximately constant division over the preferably full width of the covering strip, they can be in approximately constant division in the middle region and in smaller, preferably approximately constant division be arranged in the two edge regions of the covering strip or they can be arranged only in approximately constant division in the two edge regions of the covering strip. All of the arrangement options mentioned definitely help prevent damage to the belt.
- the base of the covering strip has a distance from 2 mm to 20 mm, preferably from 5 mm to 15 mm, to the tape.
- the at least one covering strip of the suction box - seen perpendicular to the running direction of the belt - can have an outer contour facing the belt with a meandering shape such that it has a contact area of less than 75%, preferably less than 50%, one preferably parallel to the belt running cross-sectional area touched in their base body.
- This meandering shape also increases the air speed positively in the belt level above the covering strip, based on a reduction in the contact area relevant for the throttling effect.
- the increase in air speed in the belt plane in turn causes the water to be removed from the belt mesh (“belt dewatering”), which further reduces the rewetting of the fibrous web and the dry content of the fibrous web is significantly increased.
- the belt can, according to the invention, be a wire of a twin wire former, a four wire former or a hybrid former or a felt belt of a press section.
- the suction box can be part of a forming suction device, a wet suction device or a HiVac box of a twin-wire former, a part of a wet suction device, a flat suction device or a HiVac box of a four-wire or hybrid former or a part for the intermediate conditioning of press felts that run in real tandem configuration, his.
- a press felt runs through two press nips, with a portion of the water carried in the felt being extracted from a suction box in between.
- the covering strip can also be used in a sieve suction roll as the last strip preferably attached in the running direction.
- a sieve flushing strip By closing the suction zone by means of a special covering strip (sieve flushing strip), the belt (sieve) can be dewatered by flushing air at the end of the suction zone.
- FIG. 1 shows a schematic side view (partial view) of an unspecified one shown machine 1 for producing a fibrous web 2 with a suction box 3 according to the prior art.
- the machine 1 is used to produce a fibrous web 2, in particular a paper or cardboard web, from at least one fibrous suspension 4, with at least one porous belt 5 rotating in a running direction L (arrow), in particular a wire belt, a felt belt or the like, and with at least one a partially illustrated suction box 3, which has a closed box 6, which can be connected to a schematically indicated vacuum source 7 and on the top 8 touched by the band 5 a plurality of perpendicular to the running direction L (arrow) of the band 5 at a respective distance A B extending covering strips 9, 9.1 are attached to form suction slots 10.
- the covering strips 9, 9.1 have an approximately constant cross-sectional area F Q running parallel to the band 5.
- F Q the water from the belt meshes is not adequately removed due to the too low air speed v L (arrow) above the suction box 3 (“belt drainage”) and the disadvantages of the known prior art, such as rewetting, which have already been described of the fibrous web or a low dry content of the fibrous web occur.
- Figures 2 to 4 show a respective schematic side view (partial view) the machine 1 for producing a fibrous web 2 with a suction box 3 with covering strips according to the invention 9.2.
- FIG. 1 For the general description machine 1, reference is made to the description of machine 1 in FIG. 1.

Abstract
