Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a device used to close packaging bags, and in particular those designed to withstand large loads of up to 20kg or more, generally used for packaging animal feed, flour, sugar, fertilizers, etc., generally made of reinforced paper, of resistant plastic material or the like, hereinafter referred to as industrial bags.
  • the industrial bag closing devices currently used do not allow the user to close the bag after opening it a first time.
  • Velcro fasteners are expensive, which explains their use only on certain special bags, and, moreover, they hide part of the bag, which forces the printer of the bag to have a presentation (including the safety regulatory presentation relating to the product (s) contained in the bag) modified to take account of the future location of the closing device, different from the presentation for the same bags intended not to be equipped with safety devices. closing closures.
  • the zipper devices are certainly more discreet than bags with a self-gripping closure, but they are unreliable, especially when the bags contain loads greater than 5kg. In addition, they must be incorporated as soon as the bag is made. Finally, these zipper devices also encroach on the width of the bag.
  • EP-A-0 827 912 discloses a heavy load carrying bag having an opening which can be closed by a reclosable double fold system by employing a film having a first side carrying an adhesive which repeatedly secures the film to the bag. and whose second face carries an adhesive that permanently secures the film to the bag.
  • the problem is to realize, for industrial bags, a closure device that allows the user to close several times a bag safely after opening, even if it has a heavy load, and that allows to have a reclosable opening whose size corresponds to the cross section of the bag.
  • the solution of the present invention is a bag having an opening and a closure device composed of at least one film, a first face of which is provided with an adhesive capable of permanently securing the film to a first portion of the bag located on a first surface of the bag, and whose second face is provided with an adhesive capable of separating and securing the film to a second portion of the bag located on the surface opposite the first surface relative to the opening so as to close the opening.
  • the bag is capable of containing a load of at least 2 kg and the adhesive solidarisant the film to the bag repeatedly to an adhesive power of between 2 and 2.5 N / cm according to the AFERA 4001 standard, and in that one of the two parts of the bag cooperating with the film is located in the immediate vicinity of the opening, the other part being comprised in a section delimited by a distant line of folding and a boundary line respectively remote from the end of the two surfaces close to the opening by a distance equal to twice and three times the width of a strip of the double fold allowing the user to be able to secure the bag to the film by folding twice on itself the end of both surfaces.
  • the opening of a bag provided with such a closure device can be easily closed safely and repeatedly.
  • the bag can be made without the closure device that can be added regardless of bag making.
  • the fact of using a double-sided adhesive film, without any particular mechanism makes it possible to have a maximum opening which is equal to the cross-section of the bag.
  • the devices consist of an opaque label which requires to provide as soon as the manufacture of the bag the location of this label for no registration is printed at this location.
  • the film and the two adhesives are transparent, which makes it possible not to modify the external presentation of the bag, the information of which can remain at the initial place.
  • a bag 1 has two surfaces 2, 3 connected on the one hand laterally by lateral surfaces 4, 5, and on the other hand, by a bottom 6.
  • the end 20 of the surfaces 2, 3 opposite the bottom 6 defines an opening 7.
  • the bag 1 also comprises a closure device 8 disposed near the opening 7.
  • the closure device 8 is a film 9, a first face of which comprises an adhesive 10 able to permanently bond this film 9 to a first portion of the bag 1 located on one of the two surfaces 2, 3.
  • another side of the film 9 comprises an adhesive 11 capable of repeatedly securing and detaching the film 9 to a second portion of the bag 1 located on the other of the two surfaces 3, 2.
  • this arrangement of the film 9 makes it possible to have an opening 7 equal to the cross section of the bag 1.
  • one 13 of the two parts 12, 13 of the bag cooperating with the film 9 is located in the immediate vicinity of the opening 7, the other part 12 being situated at a predetermined distance away of this opening 7.
  • the film 9 is permanently secured by the adhesive 10 to the part 12 remote from the opening 7 so that the user, by folding twice on the even the end 20 of the two surfaces 2, 3 and exerting pressure on the double fold against the adhesive 11, secures the film 9 and the portion 13 close to the opening 7.
  • the distance between the end 20 and the near line 14 of folding corresponds to the width 21 of the double fold band.
  • This width 21 also corresponds to the distance between the near line 14 and the folded line 15 and to that between the folding line 15 and the limit line 16.
  • the portion 12 remote from the opening 7 is the section between the folded line 15 (away from the end 20 by a distance equal to twice the width 21 of the double fold tape) and the limit line 16. (away from the end 20 by a distance equal to three times the width 21 of the double fold band).
  • the film 9 must be positioned in this part 12 remote from the opening 7 to have optimum efficiency.
  • the portion 12 remote from the opening cooperates with the adhesive 11 to be able to repeatedly secure and detach the film 9 to the bag 1.
  • the pressure due to the load contained in the bag 1 is transmitted to the section between the near line 14 and the fold-away line (outer band of the double fold). .
  • the pressure is transmitted very little to the section between the end 20 and the close fold line 14 (inner band of the double fold) which contains the part 13 close to the opening 7.
  • the pressure exerted on the Adhesive 11 for repeatedly securing and separating the film 9 to the bag 1 remains weak, although the load in the bag 1 is important.
  • the use of the double fold allows to have a perfect seal when the bag 1 is closed.
  • the film 9 and the two adhesives 10, 11 are transparent and, as a result, it is possible to apply the closure device 8 to inscriptions, which makes it possible not to modify the external presentation of the bag 1.
  • the size of the film 9 can easily be determined by those skilled in the art.
  • the film may have a length of between two-thirds and three-quarters of the width 22 of a surface 2,3 of the bag 1, depending on the load contained.
  • the film 9 may be polyester.
  • the adhesive 10 capable of securing the film 9 to the bag 1 in a definitive manner may be based on acrylic. It may be the same for the adhesive 11 able to secure and detach the film 9 to the bag 1 repeatedly.
  • the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes marketed by SCAPATAPES under the reference DUBLFILM D230 and D151 can be used as closure device 8 according to the invention.
  • the bag 1 is made of a material having a very low porosity and not delaminating, for example polyester, polypropylene, polyethylene ... It would obviously be possible to use a bag 1 based on paper or other whose adapted faces to cooperate with the adhesives (10, 11), or at least with the adhesive capable of securing and detaching the film 9 to the bag 1 repeatedly, are covered with a film made of a material having a very low porosity and not not delaminating.
  • a first series was produced according to the AFERA 4001 standard which defines a method for measuring the adhesive performance of an adhesive.
  • the adhesive 10 capable of securing the film 9 to the bag 1 in a definitive manner has an adhesive power of at least 7.5 N / cm and that 11 capable of securing and separating the film 9 to the bag 1 repeatedly has an adhesive power. between 2 and 2.5N / cm.
  • a second series was carried out according to this same standard, but using a paper backing covered with a polyester film (paper used for the manufacture of bags) instead of the stainless steel support required by the standard.
  • the adhesive 10 capable of securing the film 9 to the bag 1 permanently has an adhesive power greater than the tear resistance of the paper.
  • That 11 capable of joining and detaching the film 9 to the bag 1 repeatedly has an adhesive power of between 1 and 2.5 N / cm depending on the type of paper used.
  • a third series was produced according to this same standard, but using coated paper supports 80.
  • the adhesive 10 capable of securing the film 9 to the bag 1 permanently has an adhesive power greater than the tear resistance of the paper.
  • the one 11 adapted to fasten and dissociate the film 9 to the bag 1 repeatedly has an adhesive power of between 0.4 and 1.5N / cm depending on the type of support used.
  • Adhesive 10 able to join the film 9 to the bag 1 permanently has an adhesive power greater than the tear resistance of the paper.
  • the one 11 adapted to fasten and dissociate the film 9 to the bag 1 repeatedly has adhesive power between 4.5 and 6.5N / cm depending on the type of media used.
  • the adhesive thus makes it possible to securely close a bag containing large loads of the order of 10 or 15 kg, which can even be up to 20 kg, even 25 kg, and this after more than thirty or even forty, openings and closures for a bag whose faces adapted to cooperate with the adhesives consist of a film made of a very low porosity material (polyester film, polypropylene, polyethylene, etc.), this bag may be paper-based , aluminum or plastic.
  • the closure device according to the present invention thus makes it possible to close extremely reliably and repeatedly industrial bags, it also allows to print information on the bag without worrying about the location of this closure device. Finally, the manufacture of a bag provided with such a device provides the user with a maximum opening corresponding to the cross section of the bag.
