Abstract

The invention relates to an anti-lifting device for a sliding leaf (2) of a door, window or the like (1) This device is characterized in that it includes a keeper (8) provided capable of being attached to the edge ( 9) of an upright (10) of said sliding leaf (2) and comprising an opening (11) extending in a direction (12) perpendicular to the plane of the latter and in which is provided capable of engaging, under the action of elastic return means (13), a locking finger (14) slidingly mounted in a housing (15) associated in correspondence with the sleeping frame (3) or with an adjacent sliding leaf (2A) of said door, window or the like (1). The invention also relates to a door, window or the like comprising at least one leaf mounted to slide on a sleeping frame and provided with such an anti-lifting device. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to an anti-lifting device for leaf with horizontal sliding door, window or the like.

The present invention relates to the field of hardware building and relates, in particular, to fittings for sliding leaves.

In the context of a door, window or the like, comprising at minus one leaf mounted sliding on a sleeping frame, it is usual that said leaf presents, in one direction vertical, relative mobility with respect to the frame to allow it to hang on the latter.

Obviously, this relative mobility must be condemned, in particular once the leaf is closed and locked on the sleeping frame, otherwise breaking into a housing would hardly pose any difficulties insofar as it it would suffice to lift said leaf from the outside and, finally, by a reverse maneuver, unhook it from the frame sleeping.

Most of the time, this anti-lifting function is secured through the locking fitting that comes equip such a sliding leaf.

Usually, this fitting is associated with the front upright of this leaf and comprises a locking member, for example a hook bolt, provided capable of cooperating with a keeper provided on the corresponding amount of the sleeping frame, after closing the door or window.

Ultimately, it's through the upward orientation of the hook which is just prevented, once the fitting locked, lifting the leaf.

Obviously, there are different embodiments of organs locking mechanism to achieve this result, it is say, not only guarantee the proper locking of the leaf on the frame, but also to prevent it from being win.

If, thanks to such a locking fitting, this mobility vertical with respect to the frame, sliding leaf can be canceled up to the amount before the latter, it the same is not true for the opposite amount, so that, in the event of an attempted break-in, this leaf can be brought in bias. This has the consequence of creating, between the sleepers lower, respectively, of the latter and the sleeping frame, side opposite the locking fitting, a play that can be sufficient for the insertion of a tool, for example, a foot doe, a screwdriver or other, to force the carpentry.

It is also known to locate at the cross upper part of the frame, especially in the rail leaf guide, anti-lifting wedges. However, to allow the assembly and disassembly of the leaf, these shims are necessarily arranged on the side of the upright of the frame frame against which the leaf closes.

Also, such shims, if they prevent an attempt breaking by lifting the sliding leaf is not fully affects the locking devices, they do not provide an answer to the problem posed.

This exposed, it will be noted, moreover, that if within the framework of a pivoting door or window, a leaf may be provided with a hardware, bolt-type or bolt-lock type, locking perimeter, i.e. intervening, if necessary, both at level of the front upright of this opening only up to sleepers, or even along the rear upright, in the case of a sliding leaf this type of locking, even by means of the use of such a cremone bolt or bolt lock, is not conceivable that by implementing more complex systems which, although reliable, are not applicable to all sliding sash designs or do not match needs and would therefore be too expensive.

Also, it is usual to act exclusively on the amount front of this leaf, seeking to guarantee its locking relative to the corresponding amount of the sleeping frame, at best, also, with respect to the lower and / or upper cross member of the last.

In particular, it is known to provide this amount before the leaf of a cremone bolt whose control mechanism allows act on at least one operating rod extending above and / or below a central box. In position of locking, the free end of this operating rod, arranged along the front upright of this sliding leaf, is able to stand out in relation to the cross member, depending on the case, higher or lower of the latter, so to come and cooperate with a keeper with which, in turn, the frame, at its upper cross member, or lower.

If, in itself, such a conception brings satisfaction in the to the extent that it effectively gives the door or window a additional level of security with respect to an attempt for the purpose of forcing the sliding of the leaf in the opening direction, it only prevents due to the use, during such acts, of increasingly more efficient, this solution may prove to be insufficient.

In any case, such a break-in attempt may cause deformations in the organs of locking, or even, possibly, a leaf play by compared to its sleeping frame, detrimental to the proper functioning of said door or window subsequently.

Furthermore, it is known from documents US-1,389,709, US-2,107,479, US-2.062.176, US-2.322.815 and GB-153.807, latches for window sliding vertically, type guillotine, where the same problems do not arise as in the horizontal sliding joinery. Indeed, such opening moving vertically cannot unhook, strong luckily by simply shifting in one direction perpendicular to its sliding.

Ultimately, the invention aims to remedy the aforementioned drawbacks through an anti-lifting device for sliding door, window or analogous, who is able to assist, so complementary, the locking fitting fitted, usually this leaf, in this anti-lifting function, but also in its primary function of locking.

Also, according to the invention, this anti-lifting device for leaf with horizontal sliding door, window or the like, includes a keeper provided capable of being added, by through a fixing plate, on the edge of a amount of said sliding leaf, on this fixing plate being arranged parallel to a direction perpendicular to the plane of the leaf, at least one edge of guidance and restraint under which extends, in this same direction, an opening in which is planned apt to come engage, under the action of elastic return means, a locking finger slidingly mounted in an associated housing in correspondence to the frame or to a sliding leaf adjacent to said door, window or the like.

The invention relates, again, to a door, window or the like. comprising at least one leaf mounted to slide horizontally on a sleeping frame and having a front pillar fitted with a locking fitting, characterized in that it comprises a anti-lifting device with the above features associated with the rear upright of said sliding leaf.

The present invention will be better understood on reading the description which follows relating to an embodiment illustrated in the attached drawings.

  • Figure 1 is a schematic representation of a window provided with two leaves, at least one of which is slidably mounted on the frame, this leaf receiving, in particular, anti-lifting devices according to the invention.
  • Figure 2 is a detail view of Figure 1 illustrating an anti-lifting device in its inactive position;
  • Figure 3 is a view similar to Figure 2 showing the anti-lifting device once made active;
  • Figures 4 and 5 show, in these same inactive and active positions, the anti-lifting device according to the invention.
  • As shown in Figure 1 of the accompanying drawings, the present invention relates to the field of doors or windows sliding horizontally.

    Thus, such a door or window 1 comprises one or more leaves 2, 2A of which at least one is slidably mounted horizontal on a sleeping frame 3. More particularly this sliding leaf 2 has, usually at the height of its front upright 4 located on the side where the opening occurs, a locking fitting 5 which, through a appropriate command, acts on at least one organ of locking, such as a hook bolt capable of cooperating with a keeper attached to the corresponding amount 6 of the frame sleeping 3.

    If, in the usual way, such a locking fitting 5, once locked, prevents leaf 2 from being able to be raised relative to the sleeping frame 3, this at its height upright before 4, the invention relates, in particular, to a anti-lifting device 7 capable of assisting, in a complementary manner, this locking fitting 5.

    Thus, this anti-lifting device 7 includes a keeper 8 that we see represented in Figures 2 to 5, which is all particularly suitable to be reported on song 9 of a amount 10 of the sliding leaf 2.

    This keeper 8 has an opening 11 extending in a direction 12 perpendicular to the plane of the door or window 1 and in which is able to come to engage, under the impulse elastic return means 13 and by displacement in a identical direction 12, a locking finger 14. This is sliding mounted in an associated housing 15, in correspondence, to the frame 3 or to another leaf 2 adjacent to this door, window or other 1.

    Preferably, such an anti-lifting device 7 equips the rear upright 10 of the sliding leaf 2, opposite the front upright 4 provided with the locking fitting 5.
    According to an advantageous embodiment, said keeper 8 comprises a fixing plate 16 through which it is provided capable of being attached to the edge 9 of this rear upright 10 of the sliding leaf 2. On this fixing plate 16 is provided, parallel to the direction 12, either perpendicular to the plane of the door or window 1, at least one guide and retaining rim 17 above which extends the opening 11 intended to receive said blocking finger 14.

    For questions of reversibility of this keeper 8, this one adopts a symmetrical configuration and has at its fixing plate 16 a second guide and retaining rim 18 arranged parallel to the first 17 and delimiting therewith last and in combination with said fixing plate 16, a channel 19 corresponding to said opening 11.

    As shown in Figures 3 and 5, the locking finger 14, coming to register between the two guide flanges and restraint 17, 18 placed at different levels along the rear upright 10 of sliding leaf 2, prevents it from move vertically relative to the frame 3.

    In order to allow the connection of this keeper 8 at the level of the edge 9 corresponding to the rear upright 10 of the leaf sliding 2, said fixing plate 16 includes openings, not shown, for the passage of fixing, such as screws or the like.

    In particular, such openings and the organs of fixing they accommodate are provided capable of fading under covers 20, which advantageously define extensions of the guide and retaining edges 17, 18. Preferably, these covers 20 are made of a material, for example rubber, capable of absorbing shock resulting from the meeting of the rear upright 10 of the leaf sliding 2 with any obstacle, in particular, the corresponding rear upright 21 of the sleeping frame 3. Thus, this keeper 8 advantageously replaces the buffers in rubber with which this rear post is usually fitted 21 of the frame 3.

    To return to the locking finger 14 and more particularly to its housing 15 in which it is slidably mounted, the latter can be designed so as to be recessed at the level of the carpentry. Thus, in the case of a door or window does not with only one sliding leaf, the rear upright of the latter can, once the door or window is closed, locate in correspondence with an amount of the sleeping frame, so that in the latter can be integrated this housing 15.

    Furthermore and as illustrated in the figures of the attached drawings, this housing 15 can, again, be engaged in a housing provided for this purpose in the upper crosspiece 22, or even lower 23 of an adjacent leaf 2A, suitably, when the door or window is closed, to present the finger blocking 14 which it accommodates to the right of a keeper 8. This is therefore lies along the edge 9 of the rear upright 10 corresponding to sliding leaf 2, substantially at the upper end or the lower case thereof.

    To facilitate this embedding, the housing 15 can be defined tubular in shape making it easier to design the housing planned able to accommodate it. Furthermore, it is advantageously attached to the back of a faceplate 24 through which it is likely to be made integral of the carpentry. So, just like for the fixing plate of the keeper 8, at this face plate 24 can be made openings for the passage of fasteners, such as screws or the like.

    Furthermore, this anti-lifting device 7 includes means 25 provided capable of retaining erased the locking finger 14 in its housing 15, against the action of the return means elastic 13, means 25 themselves under the constraint of a elastic member 26 making it possible to repel them, systematically, in an active finger-holding position blocking 14. In addition, these means 25 are manually controlled release to release the locking finger 14 and return, thus, activates the anti-lifting device 7.

    These means 25 consist of a latch 27 mounted sliding in a groove 28 formed in the headrest plate 24, this following a direction perpendicular to the direction of movement of the locking finger 14. More particularly, one of the ends free 29 of this latch 27 is provided capable of extending, under the impulse of the elastic member 26, in the housing of the housing 15 receiving the locking finger 14 to cooperate with this last and keep it cleared from strike 8, this when the anti-lifting device 7 is made inactive.

    More particularly, this free end 29 of the latch 27 is susceptible, in this inactive position of the anti-lifting device 7, to position themselves in front of a stop retainer 30 which comprises, substantially at its emerging end 31, the locking finger 14.

    According to a preferred embodiment, this stop of retainer 30 is formed in the bottom 33 of an axial groove 32 that includes the locking finger 14, knowing that at the rear of this retaining stop 30, in the direction of the housing 15, this bottom 33 of said axial groove 32 has a slope from the vertex defined by said retaining stop 30. Thus, when, starting from the position illustrated in figure 3 or in FIG. 5, the locking finger 14, initially engaged in the keeper 8, is pushed back into its case 15 to regain its inactive position corresponding to Figures 2 and 4, the end free 29 of the latch 27 cooperates with this bottom 33 with a slight slope the groove 32, having the effect of pushing said latch 27 in a remote position inactive, against the action of the elastic member 26 and, ultimately, allow the crossing at the end 29 of this latch 27 of said stop withholding 30. Ultimately, once this is exceeded, this latch 27 automatically returns to its active position under the action of the elastic member 26, that is to say that its free end 29 is positioned in front of the stop retainer 30 so as to keep the locking finger 14 erased in the housing 15.

    Note that through this design the latch 27 is systematically deleted at the back of the faceplate 24, that he is in the active position in which he maintains the locking finger 14 erased in the housing 15 or when this locking finger 14 is, on the contrary, protruding and that the anti-lifting device 7 is itself active.

    Obviously, to make the anti-lifting device active again 7, starting from the position described above, it it suffices to manually remove the latch 27, so as to release its free end 29 from the retaining stop 30. For this this latch 27 comprises, moreover, means of grip 34, for example a rim transverse to its axis of displacement made accessible through a light 35 in the faceplate 24, communicating with the groove 28 in which is slidably mounted this latch 27.

    Note that to the extent that the emerging end 31 locking pin 14 is directly accessible, its recoil in the housing 15 can be obtained manually and by action direct.

    As is apparent from the above description, the present invention effectively addresses the disadvantages of the state of the art. In addition, it will be noted that a anti-lifting device 7 thus designed is susceptible retrofitting any door or window to sliding leaf.

    Obviously, by multiplying the number of these anti-lifting devices 7 along a rear upright 10 of a leaf sliding 2 a multiple locking of this is obtained latest.

    Claims (11)

    1. Anti-lifting device for horizontally sliding leaf (2) of door, window or the like (1), characterized in that it includes a keeper (8) provided capable of being attached, by means of a plate fixing (16), on the edge (9) of an upright (10) of said sliding leaf (2), on this fixing plate (16) being formed, parallel to a direction (12) perpendicular to the plane of the leaf (2), at least one guide and retaining edge (17) under which extends, in this same direction (12), an opening (11) in which is provided capable of engaging, under the action of elastic return means, a locking finger (14) slidingly mounted in a housing (15) associated in correspondence with the sleeping frame (3) or with an adjacent sliding leaf (2A) of said door, window or the like (1) .
    2. Anti-lifting device according to claim 1, characterized in that the keeper (8) adopts a symmetrical configuration and comprises, at its fixing plate (16), a second guide and retaining rim (18) arranged parallel to the first (19) and delimiting with the latter and said fixing plate (16) a channel (19) corresponding to said opening (11).
    3. Anti-lifting device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the fixing plate (16) of the keeper (8) has openings for the passage of fixing members and provided capable of coming to erase behind a cover (20) defining an extension of a guide and retaining rim (17,18).
    4. Anti-lifting device according to claim 3, characterized in that the cover (s) (20) are made of a damping material, for example rubber.
    5. Anti-lifting device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the housing (15) in which the locking finger (14) is slidably mounted is designed to be embedded in the joinery corresponding to the door , window or the like (1).

Anti-lifting device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the housing (15) in which the locking finger (14) is slidably mounted is attached to the rear of a faceplate (24 ) defined capable of making it integral with the joinery corresponding to the door, window or the like (1).

Anti-lifting device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises means (25) subjected to the stress of an elastic member (26) for, in the inactive position of said device (7) , retain erased the locking finger (14) in its housing (15), against the action of the elastic return means (13).

Anti-lifting device according to claims 6 and 7, characterized in that the means (25) consist of a latch (27) slidably mounted in a groove (28) formed in the headrest plate (24) in a perpendicular direction in the direction of movement of the locking finger (14), one of the free ends (29) of this latch (27) being provided capable of extending, under the impulse of the elastic member (26), in the housing of the housing (15) receiving this locking finger (14) to cooperate with the latter and keep it erased, relative to the keeper (8), when the anti-lifting device (7) is made inactive.

Door, window or the like, comprising at least one leaf (2) mounted to slide horizontally on a fixed frame (3) and having a front upright (4) fitted with a locking fitting (5), characterized in that it comprises an anti-lifting device according to any one of the preceding claims associated with the rear upright (10) of said sliding leaf (2).
