    Claims (10)

    1. Locking device for leaves of doors with two wings, comprising a tilting latch (4) which is integral with a vertical pivoting shaft (5), this tilting latch comprising a first straight part (4a) which is rigidly integral with the vertical tilting shaft, and a second part (4b) which forms a right-angle with the said first part (4a), characterised in that the said vertical pivoting shaft (5) is accommodated in an aperture (6) which has a case or block (1) which is designed to be installed in a fixed manner in the threshold of an opening, and comprising a flat front surface (3) for support of the lower edge of the leaves of a door, and in that the aperture (6) in which there is accommodated, such that it can be displaced, the vertical pivoting shaft (5) of the tilting latch (4), has an oblong shape and an orientation which is oblique relative to the flat front surface (3) of the block or case (1) .
    2. Locking device according to claim 1, characterised in that the tilting latch (4) comprises a projection (10) which is rigidly integral with the pivoting shaft (5) of the said latch, and forms an angle with the first part (4a) of the latter.
    3. Locking device according to claim 1 or claim 2, characterised in that the tilting latch (4) comprises a third part (4c) which is connected to the second part (4b) and forms an angle with the latter.
    4. Locking device according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the tilting latch (4) consists of a robust folded flat bar.
    5. Locking device according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the first part (4a) which is connected to the pivoting shaft (5) of the tilting latch (4) and the second, retention part (4b) of the latter, are connected by a curved outer surface (4d).
    6. Locking device according to any one of claims 3 to 5, characterised in that the large axis of the oblong aperture (6) forms an angle of 45° with the plane which contains the front surface (3) of the case (1).
    7. Locking device according to any one of claims 2 to 6, characterised in that the projection (10) is oriented parallel or approximately parallel to the second, retention part (4b) of the tilting latch (4).
    8. Locking device according to any one of claims 3 to 7, characterised in that the first part (4a) and the third part (4c) of the tilting latch (4) are disposed on planes which are parallel or substantially parallel.
    9. Locking device according to any one of claims 3 to 8, characterised in that the front end (6a) of the oblong aperture (6) is disposed in the vicinity of one of the vertical edges (9a) of the front opening (9) of the case (1) in which the tilting latch (4) can be displaced, such that the said edge (9a) forms a stop which limits the amplitude of pivoting of the said tilting latch (4) in the opening position.
    10. Locking device according to claim 1, characterised in that the upper end of the pivoting shaft (5) of the tilting latch (4) is provided with a head (5a), and in that the lower end of the said shaft is accommodated such that it can be displaced in a housing (11) which is secured beneath the securing flange (2) of the said device.
