Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Walze für die Fluidfilmaufbereitung mit einem inneren Kern (3) und einer ersten, den Kern umgebenden Schicht A mit einer ersten Härte und einer zweiten Schicht B, die die erste Schicht A radial außenliegend umgibt und eine zweite Härte aufweist, die von der Härte der ersten Schicht verschieden ist, und die den Kern mit einer Schichtdicke d umgeben. Um eine Walze für die Fluidfilmaufbereitung, insbesondere für den Offsetdruck, zu schaffen, mittels derer Inhomoginitäten des Druckmediums bzw. Druckerzeugnisses, insbesondere Mikrostreifen auf dem Druckerzeugnis, zumindest weitestgehend vermieden werden können und die kostengünstig herstellbar ist, wird vorgeschlagen die Beschichtung zumindest bereichsweise mit einem im wesentlichen kontinuierlichen Härtegradienten über die Schichtdicke (dv) zu versehen. Zur Erzeugung des Härtegradienten kann ein Gradient eines härteverändernden Stoffes oder Mittels bzw. eines Precursors desselben, z.B. eines den Vernetzungsgrad erhöhenden Mittels, durch Eindiffusion bzw. Migration des Stoffes bzw. Mittels von wenigstens einer Oberfläche der Walzenbeschichtung aus in das Beschichtungsmaterial eingebracht werden.
