Definitions

  • the invention relates to an end piece for the end closure of hollow profile bars of a roller shutter curtain, of which adjacent ones are articulated to one another on opposite longitudinal edges in such a way that they have a hook element on one side and a receiving element for the hook element of an adjacent bar on the second side.
  • a closing part covering the side edge region of a bar and a holding part arranged essentially at right angles to the closing part, which can be positively connected to the bar in such a way that the holding part can be inserted between the two broad sides of the roller shutter curtain essentially in the longitudinal direction of the assigned bar and that Holding part on its two sides facing the rod broad sides has latching elements which can be elastically latched into corresponding openings in the rod broad side walls.
  • FIGS. 1 and 2 are taken from this document and expressly referred to the explanations made for this and for further developments of the end piece there, since many individual features of the present invention are known therefrom.
  • This known end piece requires a precise dimension of the distance between the openings in the broad sides of the rod for receiving the locking elements of the holding part and the front edge of the rod or allows tolerances only in the direction of increasing this distance, because when reducing the insertion of the locking elements into the openings is no longer possible by inserting the end piece into the rod.
  • the invention is intended to achieve a reliable fit of the end piece in the associated rod end and to prevent canting.

  • a first preferred basic embodiment of the end piece for solving the problem is characterized in that a spring-elastic connecting part is switched on as the spring-elastic region between the holding part and the end part, which connecting part is displaced in the course of a displacement of the holding part with respect to the end part supported for the end edge edge of the associated rod is stretched resiliently in the longitudinal direction of the rod.

Under this elastic tension, the end piece sits so far without play in its latched insertion position, even if the spacing between the end face edge and the associated openings of the rod is not dimensioned exactly.
  • connection part consists of two bow-shaped connection zones, which are formed in particular in the narrow-side connection areas between the holding part and the end part.
