Definitions
- the invention relates to a fire alarm system according to claim 1.
- Fire alarm systems usually have a large number of individual detectors, at different locations in a building or building complex to be secured arranged and connected to a center.
- the connection of the detectors with the control center is usually via a stub or ring line, the so-called Communication mode, i.e. the type of transmission of signals from the detectors to the head office and vice versa on DC technology or on digital signal technology can be based.
- the communication line is a data bus, via which digital data words are transmitted from the detectors to the control center and vice versa.
- the digital transmission technology naturally has the advantage that a Large number of individual digital words can be transmitted. So in the case not only transmit an alarm signal, but also the address of the detector. An interference signal can also be transmitted.
- the head office can communicate with the individual detectors.
- the detectors of such systems are push-button detectors or sensor elements, possibly with their own “intelligence”.
- From DE 42 19 555 A1 is in connection with an installation device Building system technology known, subscriber stations or control devices to one serial bus system. It is also known that data is also wireless to feed into the bus system, for example by means of an infrared transmitter and associated Infrared receiver. The wireless transmission can also be done by others Media take place, for example by radio or ultrasound. Usually a Receivers of several transmitters, which can be stationary or mobile, driven. The electrical system of the individual transmitters is usually powered by a battery supplies a longer or shorter lifespan depending on the frequency of their operation having.
- detectors Two groups have also become known from EP 0 803 850 A1 already mentioned of detectors, of which one is wired and the other via Radio is connected to the communication line.
- the individual for radio equipped detectors are powered by a battery.
- the relay means has a microprocessor, the received detector signals into corresponding converts digital signals.
- relay means is designed so that compatibility with Communication mode exists on the bus. There are different ones Communication buses have become known, even for fire alarm systems.
- Direct current transmissions can be found in older fire alarm systems that are still operational today instead of according to the current increase or decrease principle.
- the invention has for its object to provide a fire alarm system or an expansion option for existing fire alarm systems, in which simple and less complex additional detectors to conventional wired Fire alarm systems can be coupled.
- connection modules which can be arranged releasably in the relay means and via suitable connection elements with the signal evaluation circuit and the wired Communication line are connectable.
- the connection modules are on adapted to the communication mode of the communication line. Become a The connection module communicates with the Central via digital signals that can be "understood" by the central. If, however, the communication line is a direct current transmission, then the connection module ensures that according to the known Technology via current reduction or increase a signal transmission to the control center is accomplished.
- a uniform relay means can therefore be used in the fire alarm system according to the invention be provided with a receiver for wireless signal reception from the detectors, a power supply and a signal evaluation circuit. Only the connection module is to be selected with regard to the communication mode and insert in the relay means. That way, with simple An existing fire alarm system can be modified or supplemented independently of what type of communication is on the communication line.
- connection modules via a plug connection with the signal evaluation circuit and possibly with the power connection and can be connected to the communication line if necessary.
- the relay means is connected to the communication line through hard wiring.
- a uniformly manufactured connection option for the connection module is provided his. This requires that the position of the connection contacts and the In terms of dimensions, the connection modules are also constructed uniformly.
- the communication line is a DC line, in which an alarm signal from a detector is evaluated by the control center Current increase on the line and the connection module causes a series connection comprises a switch and a resistor between the Conductors of the line is connected, the connection module being designed so that the Switch is closed when a control signal from the signal evaluation circuit is produced.
- the relay means therefore works like a push-button fire alarm connected to a DC line is. Such fire alarm systems are still widely used. It’s also older, known fire detection systems equipped with sensor elements, a communication also via a direct current line by reducing or increasing the current to accomplish.
- Push button fire alarms that work mechanically are in large quantities manufactured. Many of these push-button fire alarms contain contacts and are later with "line” or “communication modules” to adapt to certain Fire detection lines or buses retrofitted.
- the invention takes advantage of this fact in the to adapt to mechanically operating push button fire detectors on DC lines Line modules or fire alarm buses are used. Such a line module is therefore used in the relay means that then for Communication of the wireless detector with the communication line is used becomes.
- a malfunction of the Detect wirelessly connected detectors if the connection module has another Has a series connection of a resistor and a switch in the train a conductor of the DC line is arranged and which separates the conductor when the module receives an interference signal from a wireless detector, which is then sent to the control center is transmitted.
- the connection module has another Has a series connection of a resistor and a switch in the train a conductor of the DC line is arranged and which separates the conductor when the module receives an interference signal from a wireless detector, which is then sent to the control center is transmitted.
- the communication line is a data bus.
- Connection module the signals received by the evaluation circuit to the communication mode converts digital data words adapted to the data bus.
- Such communication naturally allows a direct signal connection between a single detector and the control panel if the individual detectors are provided with addresses. Conversely, one can Signal transmission from the control center to one or all detectors takes place. Therefor it is necessary that the detectors have a receiver for which the transmitter of the Relay by means of incoming signals. It is understood that this communication too becomes effective for malfunctions.
- the Connection module is composed of two stages, of which the first with the Signal evaluation circuit is connected and a number of normally open Has switches, each assigned to one of the decentralized second detectors and which are separately connected to the second stage and of which the second Stage is connected to the communication line designed as a data bus and a digital signal on the communication line when a switch is closed generated.
- This configuration takes advantage of components in the sense of second stage in connection with push button fire alarm systems are known. she allows communication of a push button fire alarm system via a data bus with a head office.
- the first Level analogous to push-button fire alarms switches are provided, which are closed, when a second detector sends an alarm signal wirelessly.
- the arrangement of the Switch is such that each switch corresponds to one detector and therefore it is possible to identify the detector via the switch that generates an alarm signal Has.
- An interference signal can also be reported in the last-described embodiment verify by using a normally closed in the second stage Switch is provided which, when an interference signal is reported by the evaluation circuit is opened. In this case, however, the one emitting the interference signal cannot be Identify detectors.
- a fire detector 1 is shown, the radio with an existing Fire alarm system can communicate.
- the detector contains one or more Sensors that respond to fire parameters.
- an RF transmitter 5 is provided. If a signal is emitted by sensor 2, which indicates that it is occurring or indicates the presence of a fire, it will be in the evaluation circuit 3 evaluated. Because of its control by the circuit 3 there the transmitter 5 sends an alarm signal to a relay station (not shown), which in turn is connected to a communication line, not shown, to the central office leads.
- a group of other fire detectors, not shown, is wired to the Communication line connected.
- a relay station 10 assigns a recipient 15 for the radio signal coming from the transmitter of a detector and a monitoring and signal evaluation circuit 13 for the radio signal.
- a power supply 16 supplies the receiver 15 and the evaluation circuit and also one Connection module 14, which will be described below.
- the power supply 16 can be done either via a network or via a battery.
- One from Receiver 15 received alarm signal is processed in the evaluation circuit 13 and given to the connection module.
- a DC line is with the fire alarm system control center, not shown connected and has two conductors. With the conductors of the DC line is one Series connection of a resistor R1 and a switch K1 connected. The Switch K1 is normally open. Another series connection from one Resistor R2 and a switch K2 lie in the course of one of the two conductors. The Switch K2 is normally closed.
- a plurality of fire detectors are wired to the DC line coupled.
- the communication between these fire detectors and the The control center, not shown, is carried out by current signals, i.e. due to current weakening or increasing the current.
- a variety of wireless Detectors that are connected via radio to the relay station 10 produce. If one of the detectors not shown speaks and sends an alarm signal, that is transmitted via the radio link to the relay station 10 causes the Monitoring circuit 13 closing the switch K1. This in turn does the trick a current increase, and the headquarters notes that in the area of wireless communication Fire detector there is a fire. An identification of that The alarm signal from the detector is not possible.
- the switch K2 is opened. This is determined by the head office and it can be determined with the help of service personnel which of the one Fire alarm signaling fault signal is affected by a fault.
- connection module 14 is a self-contained module which is identical to that in FIG. 2 Components shown is releasably connectable, for example by suitable Connectors. It can therefore be replaced by another module e.g. by one as shown in Fig. 3.
- connection module 21 same components as the relay station 10. It contains the recipient 15 and the evaluation circuit 13 and the power supply 16.
- the connection module 21 has taken the place of the connection module 14 because of a connection to produce a data bus 17.
- the data bus enables in a known manner the communication of the control center with the wired detectors on the one hand and on the other hand with the relay station 20 via digital data words. It goes without saying that this communication can also be bidirectional, if sender and Receivers in the radio detectors and the relay station 20 are provided.
- connections between the data bus 12 and the body the relay station 20 can be a fixed wire connection with connection possibility within the box 18 shown in Fig. 2 or 3, e.g. on Housing for the components can represent.
- box 18 e.g. plug contacts or easily detachable contacts provided for connection to the respective connection module, here either connection module 14 or Connection module 21.
- connection module 14 here either connection module 14 or Connection module 21.
- connection module 21 is designed such that it is connected to the evaluation circuit 13 converts incoming signal into a suitable data word so that it is above the Data bus 17 can be transmitted to the control center. Accordingly, one can Disturbance are transmitted, whereby it is also possible for the control panel to close the detector identify from which a signal originated. It is understood that among the the above conditions, the communication also takes place in the opposite direction can, therefore the control panel can query the individual detectors for their status.
- FIG. 4 shows three radio detectors 1A, 1B and 1C. You can radio on relay station 20a transmit signals.
- the relay station 20a in turn has one Receiver 15, an evaluation circuit 13 and a power supply 16, comparable that of the relay stations 10 and 20.
- a module 22 is provided, the three switches K1A, K1B and K1C, which are each in series with an unspecified resistor.
- the lines leading to the switches are led out of the housing 18 and can e.g. with suitable plug connections galvanically with a level 30 connected, which is designed to address one of the above Converts switch into a suitable data word for data bus 17.
- the switches K1A to K1C are assigned to detectors 1A to 1C, i.e.
- the switch K1B closes. Since the switches K1A to K1C are assigned accordingly in stage 30, contains the data word which in the Stage 30 is formed for the data bus 17, information that it is Switch K1B was, which has closed and thus the information that detector 1B sent an alarm signal.
- stage 30 Another switch K5, in series with an unspecified resistor is also connected to stage 30, and stage 30 generates one Fault corresponding data word with address for bus 17, if one of the Detectors 1A to 1C an interference signal is sent to the relay station 20a.
