- the present invention relates to machines or units for wood cutting used in particular in sawmills. These units allow from the logs, to cut a core on the one hand, and to cut said core in finished boards on the other hand.
- Logs generally have a more or less longitudinal shape less frustoconical or homogeneous. It is therefore important to optimize the dimension of the stone which will be cut from this log, so as to reduce the better non-reusable waste
- Cutting units are known for example by through document FR 2 499 449, in the name of the applicant. This document describes a unit comprising a movable double claw carriage longitudinally on a raceway above two saws allowing to move round wood in relation to saws.
- a sawmill in logs comprising a log-carrying device supported by a monorail and mobile along the latter.
- the log holder allows movement said logs with respect to one or more saw blades, for example placed one behind the other in the saw line, so that several saw cuts can be made in a log by performing a only pass through the sawmill.
