Definitions

  • the present invention relates to ankle protection according to the preamble of claim 1 (US-A-5 637 077).
  • Ankle protection is known from EP 0 682 960 A1, which consists of an elastic sock a textile material which has three openings, a first opening for the leg area of the foot is provided, with a second opening for the Toe area of the foot is provided and a third opening for the Heel area of the foot is provided.
  • the elastic sock attached a nutshell-shaped protective element, the cavity is padded with foam balls.
  • the foam beads in the cavity of the protective element is between the foot and the protective element Mesh made of a textile material available.
  • the disadvantage of this embodiment is that that only the ankle directly, but not the area around it, like ligaments and Ankle are protected. Furthermore, it can be the case with obliquely impinging impacts Injuries occur when the peripheral areas are made of a rigid material existing protective element act directly on the foot.
  • the invention has for its object to provide ankle protection, which easy handling a high degree of security against bumps and kicks offers in the ankle area.
  • the ankle protection according to the invention consists of a band-shaped pack, which in Longitudinal cross section is essentially U - shaped and the foot circumference in Knuckle area is substantially overlapping.
  • a closure device is provided in the open section of the U-shaped package.
  • the pack consists of an inner part facing the foot and one outer part pointing away from the foot, made of a durable Clothing material exist and firmly together at their outer peripheral edges are connected. There is a foam pad between the inner part and the outer part arranged.
  • a protective element made of a semi-rigid Material formed with elastic properties, the protective element being smaller than the foam pad is. This arrangement ensures that part of the kinetic energy of the impacts or kicks is absorbed by the protective element. The impact load that is applied with a small area is thus reduced to one comparatively large area transferred and further through the foam pad attenuated. Thus, the entire side foot area at ankle height with bands and Ankle effectively protected.
  • Figures 1 and 9 show a front view and a side view of a Ankle protection 10, which is applied to a foot 12.
  • the ankle protection 10 includes a band-shaped packing 14 which is essentially U-shaped in longitudinal cross section is formed (see in particular Fig. 5).
  • the pack 14 covers the foot circumference in the ankle area almost completely (Fig. 1 and 5).
  • An open section 16 of the pack 14 is by means of a Closure device 18 can be closed at the base 12.
  • the closure device 18 is in this embodiment a Velcro.
  • the closure device 18 is designed as a belt closure.
  • the pack 14 is made of one facing the foot 12 Inner part 20 and an outer part 22 pointing away from the foot 12.
  • the material for the inner part 20 and the outer part 22 is preferably durable and weatherproof.
  • the material for the inner part 20 is preferably skin-friendly to to create the prerequisite that the ankle protection 10 is placed directly on the foot 12 can be.
  • As a material for the inner part 20 and the outer part 22 are, for. B. Leather, synthetic leather, a nylon fabric such as z. B is used for travel bags or PTFE.
  • the inner part 20 and the outer part 22 are fixed at their outer peripheral edges connected with each other.
  • the Outer peripheral edges of the inner part 20 and the outer part 22 sewn together.
  • a foam pad 24 is between the inner part 20 and the outer part 22 arranged, which is dimensioned so that it covers the entire side foot region 26 in Ankle height covered.
  • the foam pad 24 consists of an elastic sponge-like material, such as B. from foamed polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, Polyethylene or polyurethane.
  • the inner part 20 and the outer part 22 are in the Heel area 28 directly connected to each other, z. B. sewn or glued so that a foam pad 24 for the inner ankle and a foam pad 24 for the Ankle is provided.
  • Foam pad 24 can be arranged continuously, surrounding the heel area 28.
  • the foam pad 24 in the heel region 28 in the modified embodiment is thinner than in FIG the side foot regions 26.
  • protective elements 30 are provided between the outer part 22 and the foam pad 24.
  • the protective elements 30 are dimensioned smaller in their length and width dimensions than the foam pads 24 (see FIG. 3).
  • the protective element 30 is made of a semi-rigid material with elastic properties, such as. B. polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, polyethene, polypropene, polybutene, polymethylpentene, carbon fiber materials or combinations of these materials.
  • a protective element 30 is provided on the outside of the ankle.
  • the combination between the Foam cushion 24 and the protective element 30 arched.
  • This bulge is either formed so that the foam pad 24 and the protective element 30th be glued together and kept arched until the adhesive is cured.
  • Another way of forming the curvature is that the protective element 30 is thermally brought into the desired shape and that Foam cushion 24 is then glued to the curved protective element 30.
  • a tether 32 which extends from the outside Ankle area of the pack 14 to the inner ankle area of the pack 14 extends.
  • the tether 32 is preferably made of an elastic material, e.g. B. a rubber band.
  • the ankle guard is 10 connected to a shoe 34.
  • FIG. 2A shows the cut of the inner part 20 and the outer part 22 for the pack 14.
  • the inner part 20 and the outer part 22 preferably have the following dimensions: 1A1: 270mm, 1A2: 60mm, 1A3: 80mm and 1A4: 90.5mm.
  • the width gradually increases from 1A2 to a vertex 1A4, and gradually decreases from there to the width 1A3.
  • the length 1B1 of the foam pad 24 shown in FIG. 2B is preferably 90 mm.
  • the width is based on the dimensions of the inner part 20 or Adjusted outer part 22.
  • the thickness is approximately 10 mm.
  • the length 1C1 of the protective element 30 is 60 mm and the width 1C2 is 40 mm.
  • the thickness of the protective element 30 is preferably 1 mm to 2 mm.
  • the inner part 20 and the Outer part 22 for the left side foot area 26 and the right side foot area 26 are each formed separately and are connected by a connecting part in the heel area 28 connected with each other.
  • the connecting part is preferably made of an elastic one Material such as B. formed a rubber band.
  • the connecting part can also a foam pad element, analogous to the foam pad 24, padded his.
  • the soccer player first puts on his shin pads. Then the player puts on the ankle protection 10 by in the open state of the Ankle protection 10 puts the tether 32 on the sole of the foot and the foot circumference of the U-shaped pack 14. Below is the locking device 18 closed, so that the ankle protection 10 in the foot circumference in the ankle area essentially encloses. Then the football player takes off his stockings and then his shoes 34 on.
  • the soccer player first puts on his shin pads.
  • the ankle protection 10 has a light weight.
  • the simple and uncomplicated creation of the Ankle protection 10 is also used in children, adolescents and Given adolescents.
  • the soccer player who uses the ankle protection 10 has an increased feeling of security which goes hand in hand with better gaming behavior.
  • the Knuckle protection 10 is light in weight and can be produced inexpensively. Further the ankle protection 10 does not have a disadvantageous effect when playing football.
  • Fig. 10 shows the shoe 34, which with the ankle protection 10 over a Fastening device 40 connected.
  • the fastening device 40 can be detachable be, and for example be designed as a push button, or be fixed, and for Example may be a rivet that connects the ankle protector 10 to the shoe 34 in a non-detachable manner.
  • 11 and 12 show a combination of the ankle protection 10 with a Shin guards 42.
