Definitions
- the invention relates to a waterproof, water vapor permeable Shoe construction containing an outer shaft, a waterproof, water vapor permeable functional layer shaft, a feed shaft and a Sole and a method for manufacturing a waterproof shoe.
- Such shoe constructions are widely known.
- US Re 34 890 describes a shoe construction which has an outer shaft and a contains sock-shaped lining, the lining consisting of a three-layer laminate consists.
- This laminate is used to make the footwear waterproof and water vapor permeable and typically contains a Functional layer that gives the laminate the waterproof, water vapor permeable Gives property, and more layers of other material, such as includes textile layers, for example.
- a laminate can be produced, for example, by the individual Layers that are to form the laminate, for example a first layer from one Functional layer and at least a second layer to be glued together.
- the functional layer is watertight, while the other layers, the usual way textile fabrics, such as fabric or Knitted fabrics are permeable to water vapor, but are not waterproof. If so different layers are glued together flatly, the surface hampers applied adhesive the water vapor permeability of the functional layer, so that the finished laminate has a lower water vapor permeability than that Functional layer alone. That is why such laminates are often produced in such a way that the individual layers are connected using distributed adhesive dots. Nevertheless, the number of glue dots with this method is still so high that here too a reduction in the water vapor permeability of the laminate compared to the functional layer alone.
- the object of the present invention is a shoe construction of the beginning to provide the type mentioned, in which the problems described above are at least reduced.
- the term "separately introduced” means that Functional layer shaft and feed shaft in the manufacture of the invention Shoe construction are made separately and only when building the shoe construction according to the invention are merged. functional layer and lining are therefore not built up together as a laminate to form a shaft. This feature can also be clearly seen in the finished shoe construction.
- the functional layer shaft is sewn together from molded parts, it can be clearly seen that the seam is only in and on the functional layer is arranged.
- the feed shaft can, for example, be shaped or Form knitting be made and then has no seams. If the Feed shaft is also sewn together from molded parts, these seams are only associated with the feed of the feed shaft. So there is not a single seam at the same time molded parts of the feed shaft and molded parts of the functional layer shaft combines.
- the shoe construction according to the invention can be manufactured particularly inexpensively if the functional layer shaft and the lining shaft are only on an upper one Opening the shoe construction through which a foot is inserted with the Outer shaft is connected. This will repair the Footwear according to the invention increased significantly. Because functional layer shaft and Feed shaft can only be connected to the outer shaft at the upper opening Functional layer shaft and lining shaft from the inside of the shoe be pulled out before repairs to the rest of the footwear be made without the usually sensitive, thin Functional layer shaft is endangered. The functional layer shank can also be In the event of a leak, replace it easily as there is only one connection to the Outside shaft must be renewed.
- the shoe construction according to the invention is characterized in that the Functional layer shaft is composed of individual parts, which over seams are joined together and the seams are sealed.
- the functional layer shaft and the lining shaft are separate in the shoe are introduced, special care in the formation of the sock shape of the Functional layer shaft can be used. If the sock shape of the Functional layer stock from a flat, two-dimensional functional layer takes place, the individual fittings cut from the functional layer were connected much easier again. In the simplest Way, the connection of the fittings by gluing or welding can be achieved. The connection of the fittings can also be done by sewing done, the subsequent sealing is much less problematic, because there is no textile structure on the functional layer which Laminates make it difficult to seal the seams. He also needs at Sealing these seams to the adhesive to be used only on one material, namely to be matched to that of the functional layer, which creates a permanent Sealing is much easier to do.
- the functional layer shank is seamless.
- the functional layer shaft of the shoe construction according to the invention be directly sock-shaped, i.e. three-dimensional, and no seams or have other connection points.
- a functional layer shaft can produced for example by the method described in EP 0 665 259 A1 according to which three-dimensional articles are achieved by a three-dimensional form with an aqueous dispersion of a copolyetherester is coated at least once, analogously to latex dispersions of the Rubber industry, for example, after expelling the water Heat to get a film that is peeled from the mold.
- the Functional layer shaft shape used the three-dimensional shape of a sock or the outer contour of a foot.
- the shoe construction according to the invention is particularly distinguished characterized in that the functional layer shaft by coating a foot shape in a dispersion or solution containing a polymer and subsequent Reshaping the polymer into a film is made.
- the functional layer shaft with the insole over a seam be connected.
- a seam can be inexpensive be sealed because the functional layer shaft is separated from the feed shaft is introduced and thus the textile structure forming the feed shaft at Sealing is not a hindrance.
- the seams on the Functional layer shaft are attached by coating with a waterproof polymer-containing dispersion or solution are sealed.
- Dispersions or solutions penetrate favorably into those formed by the seams Holes in the insole and in the functional layer and in the seams contained capillaries so that after hardening of the in this dispersion or Solution contained polymer has a good seal.
- the functional layer shaft can be connected to the feed shaft his.
- the connection between the functional layer shaft and the feed shaft can be released be trained, but it can also have a variety of adhesive dots with the Feed shafts are accomplished.
- the adhesive dots are designed to be activated under heat.
- the Glue dots can be attached to the feed shaft or on in a particularly simple manner Apply the inside of the functional layer shaft inside out before this is introduced into the shoe construction.
- the Functional layer shaft are connected to the outer shaft. By then applying heat in the form of air or a hot last then the feed shaft with the functional layer shaft or the Functional layer shaft connected to the outer shaft.
- the shoe construction according to the invention is also characterized in that the Functional layer shaft is connected to the sole, being special It is useful if the functional layer shaft, the outer shaft and the sole are interconnected.
- the shoe construction according to the invention is characterized in that Outer shaft and functional layer shaft combined with a molded-on sole are.
- the insertion of the feed shaft into the functional layer shaft can also take place outside the outer shaft, then the functional layer shaft be introduced into the outer shaft together with the feed shaft.
- the functional layer shaft is on the inside or the feed shaft is equipped with adhesive dots on the outside which after inserting the functional layer shaft into the outer shaft and after inserting the feed shaft into the functional layer shaft of the Functional layer shaft are connected to the feed shaft.
- the shoe construction according to the invention consists of an outer shaft 1, a functional layer shaft 2, a lining shaft 3 and a sole 5, which in the construction shown in FIG. 1 represents a glued-on outsole and in FIG. 2 an injection-molded outsole.
- the functional layer shaft 2 is arranged between the outer shaft 1 and the chuck shaft 3.
- the upper edge of the outer shaft 1 can be folded over the upper edge of the functional layer shaft 2 and the upper edge of the lining shaft 3 and sewn over the seam 4.
- One of the preferred constructions of the footwear according to the invention is characterized in that the seam 4 is the only connection between the functional layer shaft and the lining shaft. This construction is particularly inexpensive to manufacture.
- the outer shaft is connected to an outsole 5, preferably by gluing or sewing.
- the adjacent areas of the functional layer shaft 2 and the outsole 5 can be connected to one another, for example with the aid of adhesives or seams. If the functional layer shaft 2 is sewn to the outsole 5, care must be taken that the seam is then sealed again, as described above.
- a molded part is molded onto the shoe construction according to the invention Shoe sole 6 used.
- the material used to manufacture seals the molded sole is used, all seams in the sole area and also penetrates between the spaces between outer shaft 1 and Functional layer shank 2 or other cavities that arise during manufacture. In this way, the lower area of the footwear is waterproofed.
- the functional layer shaft 2 below is cut open and sewn again, the resulting seam of the Functional layer shaft sealed by the sole material.
- Such seams in the functional layer shaft do not disturb the wearer of the shoe, since the functional layer shaft usually consists of a very thin functional layer is built up, for example, has a thickness of 10 to 150 microns, so that Hardly apply folds and seams and are therefore caught by the feed shaft become.
- the outer shaft can, for example, be made of leather, synthetic leather, textiles, fabrics, Canvas, chintz, terry cloth, velvet, Manchester velvet, corduroy, cotton velvet, Muslin, satin, fur or similar materials.
- the feed shaft can be made of terry, goatskin, sheepskin, cowhide, Pig leather, velvet, camel hair, fabric, knitted or woven material, Cotton, wool, synthetic fibers or cellulosic material exist.
- the outsole should be made of waterproof material such as Rubber, polyurethane, polyvinyl chloride and its derivatives, or mixtures thereof Materials.
- the functional layer shaft consists of a waterproof, water vapor permeable material and can be produced for example from polymers that are able to form a microporous polymeric matrix, such as for example, described in US 5,732,479. But materials also come in Question that are not porous, but waterproof and permeable to water vapor. Suitable polymers for this are polyolefins, polyethylene-propylene copolymers, Polyethylene, terephthalate, polycaprolactam, polyvinylidene fluoride, Polybutylene terephthalate, polyester copolymers, polytetrafluoroethylene and Copolyetheresters.
- the material of the functional layer shaft can also be several Have layers of different polymers. For example, a porous polytetrafluoroethylene film have a second layer of polyurethane.
- the functional layer shaft is produced by coating a mold, can a multi-layer functional layer shaft can also be produced there, in which one the mold is first coated with a dispersion or solution with a polymer, the polymer cures and then the resulting film with a dispersion or Solution coated with a second polymer and the polymer hardens and so further.
- An easy way to coat a mold is by dipping the Form can be achieved in the dispersion or solution. The layer is still closed formed thin, the mold can be dipped several times until the layer on the Form has the desired thickness.
- Preferred thicknesses for the functional layer are 10 to 150 ⁇ m, preferably 40 to 100 ⁇ m.
- a functional layer shaft 2 is shown from below, which was cut in a line along line 7.
- the cut edges 13a and 13b are sewn together via the seam 8.
- the cut edges can also be connected by gluing. If the cut edges are too long, can be easily shortened by cutting. On this simple one It is possible to attach the functional layer shank in a simple manner to adapt different shoe sizes.
- a seam according to FIG. 4 illustrates how such a seam is effective can be sealed by the adhesive comprising the cut edges 13a and 13b and thus closes the gap that may exist between them.
- the glue can be covered by a tape 9.
- water vapor permeable functional layers have become Adhesive tapes that consist of a tape and a polymer layer on it exist, whereby the polymer layer becomes liquid by heat and as a dense adhesive acts, well proven.
- the tapes can be easily attached to the seam for example, be ironed on with an iron.
- the sole area of the Functional layer shaft cut out and replaced by an insole 11.
- the Insole 11 is connected to the functional layer shank via a seam 12, so that in this embodiment the functional layer 2 with the insole together forms the functional layer shaft.
- the insole can be made from one waterproof and possibly water vapor permeable material.
- the seam 12 should also be sealed watertight. This too It is possible by using insoles of different sizes Adapt functional layer shaft to different shoe sizes.
