Definitions
- the invention relates to a hydrant with a double seal, with a Jacket pipe and a bulbous extension that can be connected to the water supply network having valve housing, the closing mechanism with a valve piston is assigned, which via a piston rod and led through the jacket tube an operating mechanism provided at the upper end of the Closed position, in which the valve piston bottle-like one to the valve housing leading constriction in diameter, can be moved into the open position, and vice versa, and which is associated with a check piston mounted in the valve housing, the when transferring the valve piston into the area of the casing tube like a check valve on the Diameter narrowing reaches the system and in turn causes a seal.
- Hydrants can be an underground hydrant or a surface hydrant.
- Such hydrants belong to the prior art according to DE 25 13 712 A. and DE 30 31 520 A1.
- hydrants with double seals are known (DE 41 19 104 A1, DE 41 19 105 A1 and DE 28 03 189 A1), in which the non-return piston each also is not so far reduced in diameter that it without a separation of the hydrant removed from the valve housing can be.
- the invention has for its object the hydrant of the aforementioned Art to train so that it does not have to be exposed and corresponding Earthwork prior to its disconnection from the water network is unnecessary to gain access to create the valve housing and thus to the check piston.
- the hydrant after the Invention in which this object is achieved, is essentially characterized in that that the check piston slidably mounted in the valve housing from its the check valve-like seal in the edge area of the narrowing of the diameter Valve housing ensuring shape and size radially in diameter so far can be reduced in size from the valve housing at its diameter constriction is lead out by.
- An embodiment has proven to be particularly expedient in terms of construction proven, which is characterized in that the check piston from several interconnectable piston elements and at least one in the area of his Sealing seat arranged, across the diameter of the narrowing of the diameter Valve housing radially projecting claw ring with a plurality of claw-like Latching fingers exist, which on their inner circumference in the assembled state of the piston Detect the support element via which the water pressure prevailing in the water supply network transferable from the piston to the area of the narrowing of the diameter of the valve housing is, and after release of the support member with a reduction in diameter for Passage through the narrowing of the diameter can be elastically bent radially inwards are.
- the locking fingers of the claw ring limit one in a particularly advantageous manner radially inwardly open annular space into which the support element can be inserted.
- the claw ring expediently consists of sprayable, elastically flexible Plastic of sufficient hardness and rigidity, e.g. Polyamide.
- the securing ring expediently has a circumferential groove on its outside for receiving a protruding from it, when the check piston becomes effective in Edge area of the diameter constriction, elastic sealing ring.
- the circlip surrounds a central, approximately cylindrical piston cover, which has a radially outwardly projecting edge and that the locking ring has a radially inwardly projecting bead, which the projecting edge of the piston cover engages at a distance that the axial relative displacement of the locking ring in relation to the piston cover and thus the claw ring to solve the Circumferential bead limited from the annulus.
- the locking ring is with a cross to it Axis extending surface provided on which a gripping tool can be fixed around the Axial ring to move axially relative to the piston cover and thus the peripheral bead loosen the claw ring from the circlip.
- transversely extending surface is surrounded by a circumferential one Undercut the locking ring is formed.
- the flexibility of the locking fingers of the claw ring could be selected by a suitable choice Ring material take place. However, it is particularly advantageous if the latching fingers can be bent of the claw ring due to local weakening of the material between the fingers and a base ring carrying the locking fingers is achieved.
- the hydrant comprises one above the level of the earth's surface protruding housing 1 with outlet openings 2.
- the casing tube 3 is included Valve housing 4 with a bulbous extension. This leads to the buried supply line, not shown.
- the valve housing 4 has a closing mechanism assigned to a valve piston 5, which passes through a jacket tube 3 Piston linkage 6 and an actuating mechanism provided at its upper end 7 is controllable. With the help of the actuating mechanism 7, the valve piston 5 Via the piston rod 6 from the closed position, in which the valve piston 5 is bottle cork-like a diameter constriction 8 leading to the valve housing 4 passes through, in transfer the open position shown in Fig. 1, and vice versa.
- valve housing 4 with the valve piston 5 arranged therein and the the lower end of the piston rod 6 shown on a larger scale.
- the valve piston 5 is a check piston mounted in the valve housing 4 9 is assigned, which bears against it and when the valve piston 5 is transferred into the Region of the casing tube 3, i.e. when passing through the bottle cork working Sealing surface 10 through the diameter constriction 8 upwards like a check valve on the Diameter narrowing 8 comes to the plant and in turn causes a seal.
- the Check piston 9 and the valve piston 5 together with their respective seats form the Double seal.
- this is no longer necessary since this valve housing 4 in assembled state of the hydrant is accessible from above, but after disconnection of the water supply network.
- FIGS. 3 to 6 are only the not reproduce the inner contours of the diameter constriction and the valve housing 4 but the one above the non-return piston 9 and it in the manner shown in Fig. 2 Valve piston 5 acting from above with the bottle cork-like sealing surface 10, explained.
- the check piston 9 is displaceably mounted in the valve housing 4 from it the check valve-like seal in the edge region 11 of the diameter constriction 8 of the valve housing 4 ensuring shape and size radially in diameter so can be reduced to a large extent by passing it out of the valve housing 4 past its diameter constriction 8 is executable.
- the check piston 9 consists of several together connectable piston elements and at least one in the area of its sealing seat 11 arranged, across the diameter of the diameter constriction 8 of the valve housing 4 radially projecting claw ring 12. As can be seen from FIG. 4, it comprises a A plurality of claw-like locking fingers 13. These locking fingers grip their inner circumference 13 in the assembled state of the piston 9, a support element 14.
- this support element 14 is the water pressure prevailing in the water supply network from the piston 9 to the Seal seat 11 in the area of the diameter constriction 8 of the valve housing 4 can be transferred.
- the locking fingers 13 are after the release of the support member 14 with a reduction in diameter for passage through the constriction 8 elastically bendable radially inwards.
- the claw ring is used to transmit the pressure but to allow the bend made of sprayable, elastically pliable plastic of sufficient hardness and rigidity, e.g. Polyamide.
- the drawing shows that the locking fingers 14 of the claw ring 12 a radially inward Limit open annular space 15 into which the support element 14 can be inserted.
- the support element 14 is by part of a locking ring 16, namely a peripheral bead of this ring educated. This bead is under axial relative displacement into the annular space 15 of the claw ring 12 insertable or extractable from it.
- the locking ring 16 On its outside, the locking ring 16 has a circumferential groove 17 for receiving one protruding from it, when the non-return piston 9 becomes effective in the edge region 11 the constriction 8 of elastic sealing ring 18 coming into contact.
- this sealing ring 18 In 3 to 5, this sealing ring 18 is shown in a relaxed position, i.e. in the Position that he would assume if the inner contour of the diameter constriction 8 or the valve housing 4 with the seal seat 11 would not be present.
- the check piston 9 consists of a cone body 19, in the coaxial from above an approximately cylindrical piston cover 20 and with its lower edge 21 glued to a step 22 of the cone body 19 with the latter or is welded.
- the piston cover 20 On the outer circumference, the piston cover 20 has a radially outward direction projecting edge 23 on the radially inwardly projecting bead 24 of the Circlip 16 is engaged at a distance that the axial relative displacement the locking ring 16 with respect to the piston cover 20 and thus the claw ring 12 Solution of the peripheral bead 14 from the annular space 15 limited.
- the claw ring 12 with a base ring 26 with it is formed obliquely outwardly and upwardly extending locking fingers 13, the flexibility thereof radially inward of the base ring due to a local weakening of material between the locking fingers 13 and the base ring 26 is formed.
