It follows that the adhesive strips 21 are tightened, on either side of the joint, on the ends of the bands 1 and 2. At the end of the actuation of the jacks 22, the means 11 are automatically returned to their starting position and the new strip 2 can be driven to a machine downstream.
- the unused strip parts i.e. the end of the new strip 2 tightened in the clamping device 14, as well as the end of finishing tape 1 of the finishing reel can be removed respectively manually by pulling on this end of the strip after suppression of the corresponding depression in means 7 and after opening of the clamping device 14 and by actuation of the coil ending in the direction of a winding of the latter.
- Suction means for holding the adhesive tapes 21 as well as strips 1 and 2 against the internal faces of the means 7 are of known types and do not require a more detailed description.
- the suction grooves can be arranged in groups symmetrical with respect to the longitudinal axis of bands 1 and 2 and be connected to negative pressure chambers controlled in pairs. So known, each negative pressure chamber can be connected to a central suction means via control valves manual. Such an arrangement is also known to those skilled in the art nor does it require a more detailed description.
- the two opposite pivoting assemblies 6 for preparation, cutting and connecting the finishing strips 1 and new 2, fitted each of a means 7 for guiding and temporarily holding said strips, are preferably arranged in a closed frame 8 and provided with a part front closed by sliding or hinged doors, not shown in detail, the upper part of the machine, above the sets 6 being fitted with hinged covers 23.
- Front doors provide access, particularly to reels to unwind and to the tape accumulator 4, while the covers folding 23 allow, after opening, pivoting of the assemblies 6 in a prepared position for a new strip 2, like shown in Figure 1 of the accompanying drawings.
- the preferred embodiment shown in Figure 1 provides a constitution in which the unrolling machine is presented like a relatively low machine in which the coils are arranged in the same horizontal level and the cut and the connection take place in a vertical position of the bands.
