Definitions
- the invention is concerned with a shoulder rest device for a handgun, especially for a Self-loading rifle or a submachine gun, with a Shoulder rest for positioning the one in the stop Handgun and a base plate, which on the rear End of the shoulder rest to protect it is arranged.
- DE 297 09 576 U shows a base plate with a End piece, which has a peripheral lip, which snaps into a corresponding circumferential groove on the rifle stock.
- the end piece is therefore made of a flexible Made of material that must be deformable to to be able to snap into the circumferential groove.
- the invention aims to provide a shoulder rest device for a handgun to create what different Meets requirements and still one Resistant to force.
- the invention then provides a shoulder rest device for a handgun, especially for a Self-loading rifle or a submachine gun, with: one Shoulder rest for positioning the one in the stop Handgun; a base plate to protect the shoulder rest, which has a between the base plate and tongue and groove connection with the shoulder rest the shoulder rest is connected, the bottom plate from at least one end piece, which over at least a section of the shoulder rest height runs and has a mounting portion which with the The shoulder rest wall forms a tongue and groove connection, and at least one cover cap is constructed, which is placed on the end piece, the end piece made of metal or a reinforced plastic and the cover cap from a comparatively softer Material is made.
- the base plate according to the invention is simple built and therefore inexpensive; nevertheless it forms but a particularly robust protection of the shoulder rest. Any bending and shear forces that occur during the drop test act on the base plate, are over the entire length of the tongue and groove connection "gently" into the Shoulder rest initiated. This leads especially to one thin-walled weapon construction to a significantly reduced Risk of damage when supporting or falling the gun to the ground. Stiffened at the same time the tongue and groove connection intended for the gentle application of force the base plate the rear end of the Shoulder support and also forms a rail-like Guide, through which the base plate comfortably on the shoulder rest can be pushed on and removed again, as will be explained in more detail below.
- shoulder rest device or “Shoulder rest” is not tight on the buttocks of one Weapon are in conventional design, but generally refer to that section of a handgun refer to the normal stop on the The shoulder of the shooter. For example, refers the shoulder rest in the case of a bullpup-type weapon on the rearmost section of the gun case and in the case of a weapon of conventional design the buttstock.
- the tongue and groove connection between the shoulder rest and the base plate can be essentially transverse to the longitudinal direction of the weapon over the entire circumference of the shoulder rest extend.
- the tongue and groove connection preferably runs only over sections on the front and / or Back of the shoulder rest. Particularly preferably extends the tongue and groove connection essentially transversely to the longitudinal direction of the weapon along the upper half of the circumference the shoulder rest.
- the base plate can be particularly convenient from the side or from above onto the shoulder rest of the handgun be postponed.
- the so the upper section of the base plate attached a stable Support surface e.g. for the closing spring of the closure for rifle types in bullpup construction, in which the Back of the gun case is open and the closing spring is supported to the rear on the base plate.
- this Case enables the tongue and groove connection of the weapon housing and base plate also a gentle introduction of force during the closing process when the shutter is open hits the bottom plate.
- each one or more mutually complementary webs (springs) and grooves formed by the engagement of the bottom plate stationary and power-transmitting on the shoulder rest is attachable.
- the webs are preferred as strips on the shoulder rest and / or the grooves in protruding Moldings formed on the base plate.
- the bottom plate has a fastening section on the outside of the shoulder rest wall and with a groove facing the shoulder rest wall is formed, in which a complementary trained Holding bridge in the area of the rear edge of the Shoulder rest wall engages.
- the base plate consists of several parts composed of different materials, e.g. made of metal and plastic or different Plastic materials, manufactured and in one piece with each other are connected.
- the parts are preferably together glued, potted, foamed or welded.
- the parts of the base plate can also be detached locked together, e.g. by means of an additional Closure element, as related below with the locking of the tongue and groove connection still is described.
- the end piece of the base plate is preferably made of Sheet or fiber reinforced plastic and the cover cap made of tough or impact-resistant plastic.
- This construction variant enables depending on the need a targeted selection of the materials of the base plate components.
- the end piece, which is the connection between the base plate and the shoulder rest carries and as mentioned with certain rifle types also as Support of the closing spring is, accordingly, from one made of hard and torsion-resistant material, whereas the shoulder rest cover cap on which the rifle is in the stop, from a corresponding softer, but preferably tough and impact-resistant plastic, foamed plastic or elastomer is.
- the cover cap is preferably also made of one elastic e.g. foamed plastic or elastomer manufactured so that they also have a recoil-damping effect can exercise.
- the end piece is preferred at the free end additional reinforcing ribs are provided on the base plate, which stiffen the structure of the end piece and at the same time as attachment points for the cover cap serve e.g. welded to it, glued or is foamed on it.
- the handgun can e.g. by gluing not releasably connected to the shoulder rest.
- a safety lock is preferred on the base plate for releasable locking of the tongue and groove connection intended.
- the base plate particularly preferably has for this a through hole, which in assembled state with a corresponding hole in an end portion protruding into the base plate the shoulder rest collapses and for inclusion a locking pin is provided.
- the base plate is designed so that it with a or several fastening sections in the shoulder rest protrudes, with a through hole through the Shoulder rest wall and the attachment portion of the Floor plate protrudes and to hold a locking pin suitable is.
- the base plate is preferably also secured via a locking hook that goes from the base plate into one corresponding counterpart snaps onto the shoulder rest, or vice versa is attached to the shoulder rest and clicks into place on the base plate.
- the base plate are preferred on at least one side of the base plate one or more sling brackets attached.
- the strap bracket is not as often in the state of the Technology on the shoulder rest or on the weapon housing itself, but are attached to the base plate, reduced further the risk of destruction when trying to drop, because destructive forces are not immediate via the sling swivel on the shoulder rest, but exclusively in a weakened form via the tongue and groove connection the shoulder rest can be initiated.
- FIGS 1 and 2 show the rear end of an inventive Shoulder restraint assembly. Same reference numbers denote the same elements.
- the one shown Shoulder rest device is part of a self-loading rifle the so-called bullpup construction. With this design otherwise missing from conventional rifles the rear end of the gun case usual, fixed or retractable buttstock, so that here the shoulder rest device the rearmost section of the gun case itself is.
- shoulder rest device for any Handgun type is suitable as for self-loading rifles, Rapid fire rifles, submachine guns or machine guns, but also for conventional hunting rifles and shotguns and even pistol barrel stocks.
- Figures 1 and 2 is a section of a shoulder rest 2 shown, which - as I said - part of a box-shaped weapon case open to the rear is.
- a base or shoulder plate 4 is placed on the rear end of the shoulder rest 2 .
- the shoulder rest 2 is largely hollow and for reasons of weight saving made of a thin-walled, lightweight plastic manufactured.
- the main functions of the base plate 4 are the protection of the shoulder rest 2 from damage when putting the rifle on or dropping the rifle from some height to the floor as well as the stop for the closing spring and the returning closure.
- the bottom plate 4 is on the back with a concave curve formed so that the shoulder rest 2 when the rifle is fired comfortably and securely on the shoulder of the shooter.
- the base plate is 4th composed of two parts: an end piece 6 and a cover cap 7.
- FIG. 1 extends the end piece 6 only about half the height of the Shoulder rest 2 and has - according to Figure 2 - on his rear free side two across its entire height, across to the weapon longitudinal direction, reinforcing ribs 8 on. These protrude over the rear end of the shoulder rest 2 and ensure effective stiffening of the end piece 6 and for the mounting surfaces for the Cover cap 7.
- the end piece 6 has a front mounting section 9 on the outside of the Shoulder rest wall 10 rests and essentially along the upper circumferential half of the shoulder rest 2 runs.
- groove 12 On the facing towards the shoulder rest wall 10 Inside of the mounting portion 9 is all around one essentially transverse to the longitudinal direction of the weapon extending groove 12 forms.
- This groove 12 engages complementary trained retaining web 13 on the rear Front edge of the shoulder rest wall 10 a.
- the Retaining web 13 consequently also runs essentially transverse to the longitudinal direction of the weapon and is directed outwards.
- the holding web 13 is also preferably only on that Edge region of the shoulder rest wall 10, that of the fastening section 9 of the end piece 6 is covered, so only about the upper half of the circumference the shoulder rest wall 10.
- the holding bridge 13 can also be completely circumferential at the rear end edge the shoulder rest 2 be formed.
- the cover cap 7 extends over the entire height of the shoulder rest 2 and is - according to the figure 2 - in its upper half to the end piece 6 molded that the cover cap 7, the two reinforcing ribs 8 of the end piece 6 engages and essentially flush with the outer edges of the fastening section 9 completes.
- the cover cap 7 is made of one made of foamed plastic or elastomer; the End piece 6 can also be made of fiber reinforced Plastic, or be made of metal.
- the cover cap 7 is on the two reinforcing ribs 8 with the end piece 6 welded non-detachably to a piece or glued. But you can also with each other shed or the one foamed on the other part his.
- the composite from the end piece 6 and the cover cap 7 Base plate 4 is in the assembly of the Side or from above in the P shown in Figure 1 Direction along the through the groove 12 and the holding bridge 13 formed rail-like tongue and groove or groove-web connection until the fastening section 9 stops pushed onto the shoulder rest 2.
- a bore 15 is provided, through which a locking pin, not shown can be pushed through.
- the shoulder rest 2 with the dashed line shown in Figure 1 End profile designed with a nose-like Projection 17 in the interior of the cap 7 to over the position of the bore 15 protrudes.
- the shoulder rest wall too 10 points at least on the front one coinciding with the bore 15 in the cover cap 7 Open the hole so that the locking pin is passed through can be.
- the backup can alternatively also take place via a locking hook on the cover cap 7.
