Definitions

  • the invention relates to a retaining element of one end of a shoe on an alpine ski.
  • Such an element is provided to retain the front of the shoe in cooperation with a rear element, and to release the shoe in case of excessive stress.
  • One of the main components is the moment relative to the vertical axis of the leg. This component induces a twist in the skier's leg, which is found at the level of the knee joint.
  • FR 1 503 847, FR 1 503 848, FR 1 503 849 a retaining element whose trigger threshold is different depending on the direction in which the shoe solicits.
  • applications FR 2 722 372, FR 2 722 373 and FR 2 722 374 have disclosed constructions relating to this problem.
  • the trigger point is higher on the side where the knee is more resistant, and lower on the side where the knee is less resistant.
  • An object of the invention is to further improve the performance of the front retainers in this function of adaptation to the morphology of the skier.
  • the retaining element according to the invention is provided for releasably retaining one of the ends of a boot by means of a movable jaw laterally from one side or the other of a centered position aligned with a longitudinal and vertical median plane of the retaining element in response to a bias having a lateral component oriented in one direction or the other, against the resistance of an elastic return mechanism. It comprises a compensation mechanism acting on the jaw or its return mechanism so as to make it easier to open, the compensation mechanism having two active elements which are either biased depending on the side where the jaw is located. moves relative to the median vertical and longitudinal plane.
  • the two active elements are asymmetrical with respect to the longitudinal and vertical median plane so that the compensation mechanism is more or less active depending on the active element biased as a function of the jaw displacement side.
  • Figure 1 shows a side view and partially in section a retaining element schematically a first embodiment of the invention.
  • FIG. 2 is a front view of the device of FIG.
  • FIGS. 3 and 4 schematically illustrate a second embodiment of the invention.
  • FIGS 5 to 7 relate to another embodiment of the invention.
  • FIG. 8 shows an alternative embodiment of the device represented in FIG.
  • FIG. 9 to 11 schematically illustrate another embodiment of the invention.
  • Figures 12 and 13 relate to another embodiment of the invention applied to a rear retainer.
  • FIGS. 1 and 2 The embodiment described in FIGS. 1 and 2 is essentially a construction which is known from the patent application FR 2 533 833.
  • Figure 1 shows a front retainer 1 provided to retain the front of a shoe.
  • This element comprises a retaining jaw 2 which forms a one-piece assembly with a body 3.
  • the body 3 is rotatably mounted around a substantially vertical pivot 5.
  • the pivot is intended to be secured to the gliding board.

  • the support of the shoe on the support plate 10 is transmitted by the roller to the ramp, which induces on the body a lateral force which is added to the lateral force that the shoe exerts on the jaw.
  • This mechanism compensates during a pre-torsion drop in particular the friction forces that exist between the shoe sole and its support plate, and which tend to delay the release of the shoe.
  • the edge 21c is broken in a flat of small width to give a small area on either side of the centered position where the compensation mechanism is inactive.
  • the faces 21a and 21b of the ramp 21 do not have the same slope, so that the compensation effect is more marked on one side than on the other. the other.
  • the face 21b located on the right side of the figure has a steeper slope than the face 21a.
  • the same support of the shoe on the support plate 10 will induce a stronger compensation on this side than the other.
  • This pivoting side of the jaw corresponds to the direction of torsion of the leg where the knee is the most fragile.
