Definitions
- the invention relates to an electrical connector, with a connector housing to accommodate an outlet and / or a connector, and with a connector housing counterpart, the connector housing and the connector housing counterpart are releasably connected to each other, furthermore the connector housing at least one in a recess Plug housing counterpart engaging, mostly axially displaceable, Has rotary latch, or vice versa, and wherein the rotary latch has a phase on the connector housing side, those with a correspondingly shaped nose on Connector housing to take its locking position cooperates, or vice versa.
- the connector housing counterpart can be a usually act inserted plug housing front part. It but is also conceivable at this point on a mounting plate or even a housing or a plate of a housing to access the socket and / or the plug.
- a generic type electrical connector is also in European patent application EP 0 189 857 A2 described.
- an axially movable rotary bolt realized, which is referred to as a T-shaped clip.
- This T-shaped clip actuates one with a handle Fingers inside the connector housing or a sleeve.
- the well-known T-shaped Clip with a recess on the outer circumference of the connector housing counterpart or plug part in the sense of a lock together.
- the handle can be pushed back on the T-shaped clip, so that he is released. This is done manually so that unintentional loosening or manipulation is not can be excluded.
- a two-part electrical connector housing arrangement is also known through the German published application DE 22 63 144 A.
- a circlip made of a solid Plastic provided, which deform elastically lets an approach be moved over a ledge can. This happens with an audible click when the aforementioned Screw the circlip onto an associated hood becomes.
- An axially displaceable rotary bolt is missing, so the aforementioned manipulation security problems such connectors by this state of the Technology have not been significantly influenced.
- the invention is based on the technical problem electrical connector of the type described Designing so that not only the assembly and disassembly simply succeed, but at the same time manipulations or unauthorized opening.
- the invention proposes to solve this problem according to claim 1, an electrical connector in front.
- connector housing counterpart with the rotary latch can be provided, which in a recess on Engages connector housing, is usually worked so that the twist lock is connected to the connector housing is. He then reaches into the recess in question Connector housing counterpart when connector housing and Connector housing counterpart in its operating position means in operational (current-carrying) position, with contact.
- the rotary latch is preferably moved manually from its rest position transferred to the locking position so that no special tools are required at this point.
- the phasing and the nose work together and, moreover, the rotary latch engages flush in the Turn lock receptacle on the connector housing. That remains just a slot to the neck a manipulation tool. At this point comes preferably a screwdriver.
- the invention is based on the knowledge that a such manipulation tool when dismantling the described electrical plug-in device available anyway is or is used. So that can be done Connector housing opposite the connector housing counterpart in a certain angular position in the operating position Fix with the help of the rotating latch. This twist lock can can only be solved if the manipulation tool in question is used. This is usually the case a screwdriver used by a mechanic anyway is carried along, so that the unlocking of the rotary lock succeeds without any problems. The assembly of the electrical Plug device and its locking with the help of the rotary bolt is always carried out without tools. In fact, the invention only requires disassembly the manipulation tool described.
- the rotary latch In this operating position of the plug device, the rotary latch its locking position by axial displacement take in. For this it is necessary that the rotary latch pushed over the at least one nose on the connector housing will, after its positioning in the locked position or locking position in the connector housing Recess or engagement engages latching.
- this rotary latch is preferably a molded one Has locking pin.
- This locking pin can engage in a hole in the area of the rotary bolt receptacle and is listed here.
- At the connector housing counterpart is an associated location hole as a recess in certain and predetermined angular position provided, which the locking pin in the operating position or Lock position takes up.
- the locking pin will on the one hand through the hole in the area of the rotary bolt receptacle on the connector housing, on the other hand in the mounting hole guided and held on the connector housing counterpart, so that the rotary lock described of connector housing and connector housing counterpart in detail is realized.
- the rotary latch can be a projecting and im Essentially parallel to the locking pin Tongue which have a contact surface in the rotary bolt receptacle on the connector housing in the locked position while maintaining the slot for the attachment of the manipulation tool overlaps. As a result, is engaged the required slot automatically defined for the manipulation tool and released, making unlocking quick and easy with the help of the relevant tool or screwdriver succeed.
- the invention always enables the connection of connector housings and connector housing counterpart such that for one whose operating position is properly assumed, by mostly screwing the two aforementioned components together become.
- connector housings and Connector housing counterpart in this operating position of Do not unlock hand so that tampering if not excluded, but are at least considerably more difficult.
- the rotary latch ensures that the plug device is in the operating position is transferred into its locking position.
- mounting holes can be omitted in the prior art are usually required to the connector housing with mostly molded flange on the to fix the relevant mounting plate.
- the connector housing with its thread in a on the housing or assembly or Housing plate molded housing bush is screwed.
- the installation and mounting of the electrical connector described in comparison simplify considerably to the state of the art.
- FIG. 5b An electrical plug device is shown in the figures, the basic structure of one Connector housing 1 and a connector housing counterpart 2 assembled is. With this connector housing counterpart 2 it can be according to the representation in Fig. 5a Act on connector housing front part 2. But also a mounting plate 2 is conceivable at this point, as shown in FIG. 5b is shown. In the latter case, the connector housing 1 through a local (receiving) hole 3 with a (External) thread area not expressly shown passed through and using a lock nut fixed on the mounting plate 2. One more provided receiving bore 4 or recess 4 serves in conjunction with a rotary bolt 9 for position-oriented and non-rotating assembly of the connector housing 1 or the associated assembly on the mounting plate 2. This will described in more detail below. In any case only need two holes 3, 4 in the mounting plate 2 be introduced to accommodate the connector housing 1.
- a comparable mounting hole 4 can be found in the Plug housing front part 2 according to Fig. 5a.
- This connector housing front part 2 engages with an external thread 5 Internal thread 6 at the end of the connector housing 1 (cf. Fig. 1a).
- the variant according to FIG. 5b is usually the connector housing 1 with the external thread, not shown equipped to accommodate the not shown Lock nut and fixing the assembly on the mounting plate 2 serves.
- the connector housing 1 takes an outlet and / or a plug.
- These contact pins are inserted into pin holes 7 there and engage in contact sleeves, not shown Socket in the connector housing 1.
- the rotary latch 9 is manual according to the embodiment transferred from a rest position to a locking position.
- This rest position is shown in Fig. 1b, while Fig. 1a corresponds to the locking position.
- the rest position 1b taken in such a way that the rotary latch 9 clamped between two lugs 11, 19 on the connector housing 1 becomes. That is, the distance between these two lugs 11, 19 corresponds to the connector housing or rear Width of the turnbuckle 9.
- the rotary latch 9 For a defined manual actuation of the rotary latch 9 without slipping it has a corrugated actuation surface 13, for example with the help of a finger one hand can be operated in the axial direction A and so for a manual axial displacement in the direction of A Turn bar 9 in the transfer from its rest position in the locking position or locking position (see Fig. 1a).
- the rotary latch 9 engages flush into a rotary bolt receptacle 14 on the plug housing 1, only a slot 15 for the attachment of a not shown Manipulation tool, in the present case one Screwdriver remains (see. Fig. 1a, 1b, 3 and 4).
- This rotary bolt receptacle 14 on the connector housing 1 settles essentially from a support surface 14a and one Bearing surface 14b together, which is substantially rectangular to each other.
- the spacer 16 formed in length so that the corrugated Actuating surface 13 with one of the two aforementioned Surfaces 14a and 14b framing collar 17 on the connector housing 1 ends flush (see Fig. 1a, 1b and 2).
- a tongue 18 lies against the (vertical) contact surface 14b of the rotary bolt 9 when it takes the locking position so that the front of the connector housing 1 or the rotary latch 9 only the one already mentioned Slot 15 for receiving the screwdriver remains.
- This tongue 18 runs essentially parallel to the locking pin 10, as FIGS. 3 and 4 immediately clear make, so as the aforementioned components 10 and also 14b vertical.
- a radial circumferential sealing lip 20 in the area of the internal thread 6 of the Plug housing 1.
- This circumferential sealing lip 20 also cooperates a front cone on the connector housing front part 2 together in such a way that when screwed into the connector housing 1 Plug housing front part 2, the sealing lip 20 is pushed radially outwards and thus for a waterproof Design at this point ensures. So it is no additional (external) seal required use.
- the connector housing 1, the connector housing counterpart 2 and the rotary latch 9 are usually made of polyamide (PA) Plastic injection molding process manufactured. Hence is guaranteed stable production at low cost. In addition, the connector described install screwless overall, so the installation or assembly is quick and easy.
