Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for producing a material web, in particular a paper or cardboard web, from a stock suspension.
- the shrinkage behavior is particularly evident in the manufacture of paper the material web is not constant over the web width.
- This cross shrinkage profile the material web has differences in wet expansion the material web across the width. These differences in moisture expansion can cause problems in printing presses, when the dry paper is rewetted and as a result of its over the width of varying moisture expansion behavior at different Areas swelling to different degrees in the transverse direction.
- the result is Registration errors and web running problems, especially in the 4/4-color printing and when switching between edge rolls and center rolls.
- the edge areas of the material web as a result of the further Shrink machining in the manufacturing machine more than medium Areas of the material web, there is an increased moisture expansion at the edge of the material web.
- the above Printing problems especially when printing edge rolls that come from the paper roll having the full machine width can be cut.
- the shrinkage behavior is not directly affected the material web is influenced, but it becomes the ability the dried material web to absorb moisture.
- the invention allows the position of the hydrophobized areas to be such to choose that the negative effects of cross shrinkage of the Material web to be compensated. With the invention, one can Uniformization of the moisture absorption behavior and thus the Achieve moisture expansion across the web width.
- An advantage of the method according to the invention is that an addition of Hydrophobizing agent is only required in those areas which there is an increased shrinkage of the material web. The needed Aid amount and thus the additional costs are thereby kept low.
- a synthetic sizing agent or modified starch is preferably used as the hydrophobizing agent. It is particularly preferred to use Basoplast TM , a sizing agent based on styrene and acrylic ester, or a comparable sizing agent.
- the amount added is transverse to the direction of web travel predetermined addition profile varies.
- the addition profile is preferred selected according to the cross shrinkage profile of the material web, that can be measured on the dried material web, so that it is according to the invention a setting of the addition profile depending on the measured transverse shrinkage profile is possible.
- the offer profile and thus the moisture expansion behavior of the material web can affect this Way set online while the manufacturing machine is running become.
- the web width can also be achieved if according to a further variant of the invention, the hydrophobizing agent added only in the edge areas of the material web becomes.
- the width of the edge areas to be hydrophobized is preferred depending on the manufacturing machine, the type of material web, especially the type of paper, the basis weight of the material web and the way the paper is printed. In doing so preferred edge areas of the material web with a width of about 0.1 up to 2.0 m, particularly preferably from about 0.3 to 1.5 m hydrophobized.
- the width of the water repellant Edge areas it is also possible to adjust the width of the water repellant Edge areas to be chosen such that this width is at least approximately corresponds to the width of printing paper rolls to be cut. This prevents possible differences in the print image due to the hydrophobization occur within a pressure roller.
- the hydrophobizing agent in the headbox of the manufacturing machine added to the web. It is preferred to use one after the Dilution water principle to use working headbox and add the hydrophobizing agent in the dilution water line.
- the invention is particularly advantageous in connection with the production of paper that is particularly well suited for offset printing, and the hydrophobizing agent becomes a suspension for manufacture such paper webs added.
- the headbox 16 shown in the figure includes a full Distributor tube 26 extending machine width for a stock suspension 12 from which the paper web is made. About yourself too Flow channel 34 extending over the entire machine width the stock suspension 12 the downstream components of the paper machine fed.
- a dilution water line 18 is connected to the flow channel 34, via the dilution water 28 from a distributor 28 Stock suspension 12 is supplied in the flow channel 34.
- An addition line 36 is connected to the dilution water line 18, which comprises a plurality of individual lines with which A hydrophobizing agent is arranged in addition zones distributed across the machine direction 14 is added.
- the hydrophobizing agent 14, for which Basoplast TM , a synthetic sizing agent based on styrene and acrylic ester, is preferably used, is metered in the valve unit 22 for the dilution water 28.
- Basoplast TM a synthetic sizing agent based on styrene and acrylic ester
- the method according to the invention working headbox 16 according to the invention of the stock suspension 12 in Flow channel 34 at feed zones distributed transversely to the web running direction the hydrophobizing agent 14 added.
- the hydrophobization cross profile of the material web the feed profile corresponds to that on the headbox 16 with the arrangement from the valve unit 22, the actuator 24 and the other mentioned Actuator is set.
- the hydrophobizing agent 14 causes in the hydrophobized Areas of the dried material web their ability to absorb is reduced by moisture. As a result, the extent of Moisture elongation of the dry paper reduced when rewetting.
- the addition profile on the headbox can thus be used 16 set the moisture expansion profile of the paper in such a way that the The extent of the wet expansion is constant over the width of the paper web or is within tolerable limits.
- the addition profile i.e. the addition cans in the individual addition zones, is generally dependent on the paper machine, the type of paper, the basis weight and the type of printing selected.
- the hydrophobizing agent 14 of the stock suspension 12 on the headbox 16 exclusively added in the marginal areas. It can be done at each the dose, i.e. the pro Unit of time added amount of hydrophobizing agent 14, across Machine direction either constant or in the direction of the web center can be set decreasing.
- the invention is particularly advantageous in connection with paper machines, which are used to produce paper for 4-color offset printing.
- the invention is preferred in connection with certain Paper machine configurations used. So it works according to the dilution water principle working headbox 16 preferably three sub-power lines per zone or section.
- the three partial flows per zone or section comprise a high-consistency partial flow, a low-consistency partial flow as well as the hydrophobizing agent partial stream.
- the paper machine is preferably a gap former or a hybrid former intended.
- the press includes compact nips or individual nips and / or shoe presses.
- the dryer section is preferably a single row Dryer section or a combination of single-row and double-row arrangement.
- the dryer section is preferably humidified with a nozzle equipped and has no size press or mass sizing. However, gluing can optionally be provided in the mass.
