Definitions
- the invention relates to a drain fitting of a cistern according to the features specified in the preamble of claim 1.
- a drain fitting known with a liftable valve pipe in the vertical direction, at the lower end of a sealing element is arranged.
- a flow deflector is arranged on the valve tube, whose lower edge, regardless of the position of the valve tube, surrounds the sealing element to form a defined narrow annular gap.
- a drain fitting known which contains a liftable valve pipe in the vertical direction, which is designed as an overflow pipe.
- a sealing element of a drain valve is arranged, wherein lifting the valve tube, the sealing element is lifted from a stationary valve seat to allow the rinse water contained in the cistern to flow through the drain valve.
- the drain fitting is designed as a dual-volume drain fitting and contains two arranged in each brake containers float and two tie rods to trigger either a large flush or a small flush by lifting the overflow pipe, during the small amount of flushing a float is locked.
- loud closing or gurgling noises can disadvantageously occur, and furthermore a reduction of the flushing performance can occur.
- a cistern with a drain fitting which has an annular body on the underside of the single brake container.
- the annular body surrounds in the raised position of the valve or overflow pipe, the sealing element, wherein a dynamic pressure of the outflowing water is shielded such that act on the valve body hardly fluid mechanical forces.
- the valve should therefore remain open until the brake container is almost empty.
- the sealing element does not enter the annular space enclosed by said ring but is located below the lower edge of said ring.
- the invention has the object, the drain fitting of the type mentioned in such a way that the flushing noise can be reduced. Particularly in the case of small-quantity rinsing, in which only a part of the rinse water contained in the cistern flows out through the drain valve, a too loud closing noise is to be suppressed. Furthermore, the drain fitting should allow easy handling during assembly and possibly service measures.
- the drain fitting according to the invention is characterized by a simple and functional design and includes a flow deflector attached to the overflow pipe such that especially at the end of the small amount flushing an undesirably strong acceleration of the sealing element down to the valve seat and an associated loud closing noise is avoided.
- the fixedly and preferably liquid-tightly connected to the valve tube flow deflector prevents the flow of water from above presses on the sealing element and this inaccurately accelerated, especially at the end of the small flush.
- the flow deflector engages over the outer edge of the sealing element, wherein between the outer edge and the Strömungsabweiser advantageously a narrow annular gap is present.
- the flow deflector is preferably formed as a hollow body, which is closed at the top and down to the sealing element is open, wherein the outer wall is adapted to the inner surface of the housing or the brake reservoir of the drain fitting and in particular is cylindrical.
- the housing or the brake container contains at the lower end of an annular body, which is open at the bottom and in which the flow deflector protrudes at least partially.
- annular body which is open at the bottom and in which the flow deflector protrudes at least partially.
- the annular body forms a cavity, which is suitably closed at the top from the bottom of the housing or brake container and in which protrudes from the bottom of the flow deflector.
- the height of the cavity is set such that in the closed position of the drain valve, the flow deflector with its upper end something protrudes into the cavity and on the other hand, in the open position of the drain valve of the flow deflector at least approximately completely fills said cavity.
- the invention includes drain fittings of any design, for example, with only a float, a bell jar or other brake and control devices to close the drain valve in a predeterminable manner after triggering a flushing operation , Regardless of the specific embodiment of the drain valve or the overflow or valve tube, it is crucial to the flow deflector associated with the sealing element, which is arranged above the sealing element and substantially avoids a flow or pressure force from above on the sealing element. Further, the flow deflector is associated with a downwardly projecting edge or annular body of the housing to at least approximately avoid the action of a water flow or of downwardly directed force components on the flow deflector when closing the drain valve.
- Fig. 1 shows an axial longitudinal section of the drain fitting with a first float 2 for the small flush.
- first float 2 which is preferably arranged within a first brake container 3, a first pull rod 4, in particular integrally connected to trigger a small amount flush.
- the first float 2 and / or the first tie rod 4 are in particular coupled via a plug connection with a valve and / or overflow pipe 6 movably arranged in a housing 5.
- the valve tube 6 on the outer surface at least one incision or a recess 8, in which engages at least one locking element 10 of the first float 2.
- a sealing element 12 is arranged in a known manner, which rests in the closed or rest position shown here on a valve seat of a bottom or drain valve of the cistern, not shown here, the bottom 14 with a dashed line is indicated.
- the housing 5 of the drain fitting further includes a second brake reservoir 16 for a second float 18.
- the housing 5 and the brake reservoir 16 are connected in a known manner with the outlet valve and for this purpose include radial pin 20, which constitute components of a bayonet connection with the drain valve.
- the upwardly open second brake reservoir 16 includes a bottom 22 and a surrounding the valve tube 6 at a predetermined distance inner wall 24 such that the valve tube 6 is movable in the direction of the main vertical longitudinal axis 26.
- the second brake reservoir 16, in which the second float 18 is likewise movable in the vertical direction, contains at least one lateral and / or radially outwardly directed opening or control bore 28, through which the water present in the brake reservoir 16 flows out after the triggering of a large-volume purging.
- the opening or control bore 28 is shown here for reasons of clarity offset by 90 ° with respect to the longitudinal axis 26 and is located real according to the drawing behind the plane.
- control spool 30 which is adjustable by means of a control rod 32 in the direction of the longitudinal axis 26.
- the spool and the control bore are matched to one another that according to the position of the spool 30, the free flow cross-section is adjustable so as to be able to specify the outflow and outflow of the water in the brake reservoir 16 and ultimately the flushing water.
- the arrangement of the opening or control bore 28 in the lateral outer wall of the second brake reservoir 16 is in view of an annular space below the bottom 22 to be explained below of particular importance.
- the brake tank 16 is closed at the top with a lid 34, on which at the end of the small flush the upper first float 2 is seated.
- the cover 34 is releasably connected to the lower brake container 16, wherein expedient here also the brake container 16 has radial pins 36, which engage in corresponding grooves of the lid edge in the manner of a bayonet closure.
- a preferably pivotable about a bearing 38 latch 40 is also provided.
- the bearing 38 is suitably arranged on the brake container 16 or the cover 34.
- a second pull rod 42 is provided, which penetrates the upper float 2 and is mounted in a guide 44 axially or parallel to the longitudinal axis 26 slidably.
- the guide 44 is in particular part of the cover 34.
- the second pull rod 42 has at its lower end a recess 48 into which the pivotable latch 40 engages at least partially.
- the second pull rod 42 preferably contains in said recess 48 a corresponding with the latch 40 guide surface 50.
- the second pull rod 42 has a locking surface 52 for the latch 40 to secure it in the rest position such that an inadmissible pivoting thereof and thus a release of the second lower float 18 is excluded.
- the latch 40 preferably has an angled end portion 54 such that on the one hand, the lock is secured and on the other hand after the completion of the bulk flush the pivoting back of the bolt 40 is secured to lock the lower second float 18.
- the end portion 54 is angled radially inward to the direction of the longitudinal axis 26 and the locking surface 52 of the second tie rod 42 is preferably inclined at an angle such that a straight extension intersects the longitudinal axis 26 above the securing surface 52.
- a flow deflector 56 is arranged above the sealing element 12 on the valve and / or overflow pipe 6.
- the flow deflector 56 is sealed to the tube 6 and in particular firmly connected and closed in an appropriate manner above, in particular with a cover 58.
- the flow deflector has a downwardly directed from this particular cylindrical outer wall 60, which preferably engages over the outer edge 62 of the sealing element 12 with its lower end. Between the outer edge 62 and the outer wall 60, a preferably narrow annular gap 63 is present.
- the narrow annular gap 12 is always present due to the fixed connection of the flow deflector 56 to the valve or overflow pipe 6, regardless of the respective position of the valve or overflow pipe 6.
- the flow deflector 56 is advantageously designed as a hollow body, which sealingly closes a cavity 64 present above the sealing element 12, apart from the said first annular gap 63.
- the closed up flow deflector 56 prevents a flow of water from above on the sealing element 12 presses, so that in particular at the end of the small flushing too much acceleration of the sealing element 12 and / or the overflow pipe 6 down in the direction of the valve seat. Thus, a too loud closing noise is suppressed.
- a downwardly projecting edge or annular body 66 is provided at the lower end of the housing 5 and the lower or second brake cylinder 16.
- the bottom 22 of the brake reservoir 16 has a much greater distance from the cistern bottom 14.
- an annular space 68 is present between the flow deflector 56 or its cover 58 and the bottom 22.
- the height 70 of this annular space 68 is adapted to the stroke of the overflow pipe 6 when lifting by means of the first tie rod 4 of the second tie rod 42 in an advantageous manner.
- the cover 58 of the flow deflector 56 is at least approximately directly below the bottom 22.
- the outer wall 60 of the flow deflector 56 is adapted to the inner contour of the annular body 66 in an advantageous manner and in particular the outer wall 60 and the annular body 66 is at least approximately cylindrical.
- the annular body 66 with its lower edge 72 the flow deflector 56 at a predetermined height 74.
- a second narrow annular gap 73 is present between the ring body 66 and / or its lower edge 72 and the flow deflector 56 .
- This second narrow annular gap 73 is always present regardless of the vertical position of the valve or overflow pipe 6, so that upon lowering of the valve or overflow pipe 6, a pressure due to the flow of water to the flow deflector is avoided according to the invention.
- annular body 66 By means of the annular body 66 is thus prevented upon lowering of the elastic sealing element 12 and the Strömungsabweisers 56 that the flow of water pressure on the flow deflector 56 and downward force components accelerate the sealing element 12 and the elastic sealing element 12 abruptly seated on the valve seat.
- the downwardly projecting edge 72 prevents, in the manner of a labyrinth seal, the action of the water flow of the flushing water flowing out of the drain valve onto the flow deflector 56 and / or the sealing element 12.
- Fig. 2 shows a perspective view of the drain fitting with the housing 5 and lower brake reservoir 16, the cylindrical lower ring body 66 engages over the flow deflector 56.
- the lower part of the brake reservoir 16 is shown partially in section, wherein the bottom 22 can be seen, which is laid up in comparison with the aforementioned prior art drain fitting.
- 6 space is created for triggering a flushing operation and the associated lifting of the overflow pipe 6 with the overflow pipe 6 connected flow deflector 56.
- the sealing element 12 can be seen within the flow deflector 56, which is designed as an upwardly closed cylinder.
- the above-mentioned spool 30 and the control rod 32 are slidably mounted and guided in a manner not shown here with respect to the housing 16 to specify the flow cross-section and the outflow of the water through the above-described control bore according to the requirements.
