Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de traiter des matières solides avec des gaz liquides, notamment de l'ammoniaque liquide, sous pression. Selon ce procédé, la matière solide à traiter à une pression ambiante est introduite dans un réacteur pressurisé (10). Ensuite, le gaz liquide sous pression est introduit dans le réacteur pressurisé (10). Au bout d'un temps de séjour donné, le mélange gaz liquide/matière solide ainsi obtenu est détendu par explosion dans un contenant d'expansion (14). Au moins deux réacteurs sont exploités de manière cadencée. L'invention concerne également un dispositif qui permet de traiter des matières solides avec des gaz liquides sous pression. Ce dispositif comprend au moins deux réacteurs pressurisés parallèles destinés à recevoir alternativement une matière solide et un gaz liquide. Chaque réacteur possède des orifices d'entrée et de sortie qui sont dotés d'organes de fermeture (11, 12) et destinés à la matière solide; au moins un orifice d'entrée (13) destiné au gaz liquide; au moins un contenant d'expansion (14) relié aux réacteurs pressurisés (10) concernés et un moyen de transport (18) destiné à l'alimentation en matière solide et en gaz liquide.
