Definitions
- the invention relates to a method and a device for avoiding the thermal bales especially in hot rolling but also in cold rolling of Steel, aluminum and similar metallic materials by means of a jacket roller, consisting of a forged high-strength roll core, one on the Roll core shrunk onto the roll shell and into the surface of the Rolled core symmetrically incorporated helical grooves to form Channels for the flow of a convection medium between the Roller shell and the roller core, the channels being symmetrical from the center the jacket roll to the ends of the jacket roll. Furthermore, the invention relates to the application of the method or Jacket roller in rolling mills as well as a working procedure for assembly and disassembly of the roll jacket on the roll core of the jacket roll according to the invention.
- Roller jacket rolls consisting of a roll core and an independent one manufactured and shrunk on the roll core, were in the Past proposed more often. Your particular advantage is that the roller core is reused after dismantling the worn jacket can be, which means lower rollers lower operating costs than comparable Have full rolls.
- Roller jacket and roller core can be done without difficulty are made from different materials, for example high-strength forged roller core can be used to high torques transferred, paired with a roller jacket made of particularly wear-resistant Material. Cladding rollers according to the prior art are for example in the European Patent 0 371 177 B1 documented.
- the profile actuator e.g. B. the work roll bend required.
- the Actuator characteristic e.g. B. the roll bending, but can cause profile errors Do not correct the heating of the work roll exactly, d. H. a residual error remains. It also reduces the amount of actuator correction required for thermal Crowning the roller the possibilities of profile correction.
- Cold rolling is caused by the forming energy in rolling stock and Roller generates heat; the thermal behavior problems are similar stored.
- the size of the shrinkage stress is on the Outer surface to be observed.
- the larger the excess shrinkage chosen the more the remaining tensions on the outer surface of the jacket rollers and the more susceptible the jacket roller is to cracking. For this reason, it makes sense to design the operating conditions of the jacket roller in use so that the Shrink fit is changed as little as possible during operation. But if a jacket roller with an internal flow / convection between the roller core and roller shell works, this inner flow always influences the shrink fit taken. If you work with a medium that is colder than that Equilibrium temperature of the work roll, so is the stretching of the jacket compared to the roller core is further enlarged and the shrink fit loosens. If, on the other hand, a heating medium is used, the shrink fit becomes narrower and the stresses on the surface of the jacket are increased. At the same time, the Design of the jacket roller take place so that the torque without Use of a heating medium can be transferred.
- the object of the present invention is, based on known jacket rolls, to improve their use and training so that these jacket rollers for Cold rolling and hot rolling of steel, aluminum and similar metallic Materials are usable and avoid both thermal bale in conventional hot rolling mills, for example for schedule free rolling, such as also in thin slab plants with several casting lines and different ones Pouring width can be used. It is particularly important to ensure that by Homogenization of the temperature of the convection medium a loosening of the Shrink fit and thus the connection of the roll shell and roll core is avoided.
- the invention is in a known jacket roller Generic type provided that the convection medium circulated the jacket roller working with forced convection starting from the Roller center on the outside diameter of the roller core in the channels is transported outside, from there into the inside of the jacket roll, there in one Annular gap in the axial center of the casing roller, and from there in another Annular gap in the axial direction to the operating side of the jacket roller and from there one Pump is supplied with which the convection medium without active elements Influencing the temperature back into the axial center of the jacket roller and Channels of the outer surface of the roll core is fed.
- the heat exchange can between the middle of the jacket roller and the edges of the jacket roller considerably be accelerated.
- the works Jacket roller here without heating or cooling devices. It is only a medium for Equalization of the temperature in the circuit, d. H. it will be during the Rolling no convection medium supplied from the outside.
- the movement of the Convection medium is done by a pump, which the convection medium up to Center of the jacket roll in the axial direction. Then the convection medium led radially to the interface between the roll core and roll shell, where it is on the roller shell in helical lines, the opposite equal pitches have flows in the direction of the roller edges. At the edges of the rollers it will Convection medium again radially inwards and fed to the pump, the Convection medium inside the jacket roller still the residual heat to the Releases roller core.
- the convection medium is in the roller axis is coldest, then heats up and gives its Heat first to the outer areas of the roll shell and then to the roller core.
- the convection medium with flow velocities of 1m / s and more in the with 2 to 6-course gradients, screw channels arranged so quickly and transported to the outside with such a high volume flow of the circulation pump is that the heating of the convection medium in the area of the tape contacted roller remains low and the one circulation of the Convection medium in the jacket roll temperature differences total less than 10 ° C.
- the proportion of geometrically in the radial direction heat flowing into the roll is limited that the distance of the convection channels in the axial direction Is 2 to 5 times the channel width, the channel width being less than 25 mm and the temperature of the areas between two channels from the temperature of the Convection medium is dominated in the channels.
- the heat of the Convection medium from the center to the edges not contacted by the tape lead and there to the roll shell and in particular to the roll core to deliver is in the area of the belt contact from Convection medium slightly cooled from the inside, which means that the roll shell is less expands and the shrink fit is less in the area of the band contact strongly triggers.
- this reinforcement means no disadvantage, since the higher tensions in the jacket surface are unproblematic, since none superimposed tensions due to hot rolling.
- the jacket roller In addition to the operation of the jacket roller described above, it can be at center of gravity to optimize the thermal bale that the direction of flow of the Flow is reversible for certain intervals.
- the Jacket roller for use in the rolling mill outside of the rolling mill by a Convection medium preheated to the expected stationary operating temperature is used with the expected stationary operating temperature can be.
- the preheating is implemented, for example, in that the Jacketed roller in the roller workshop with a heating medium fed into the channels is heated, which is connected to external heating devices.
- a jacket roller according to the invention is characterized in that the pump for Transport of the convection medium is firmly connected to the jacket roller and with Roll speed rotates. Also the drive motor required for the pump can be firmly connected to the jacket roller and can be supplied via slip rings.
- the drive motor required for the pump can be attached to the front of the The jacket roller is fixed in place and can be detached from the pump when changing the roller. In both cases, the direction of rotation of the Pump and thus the direction of flow of the convection medium can be reversed.
- the invention provides that for compensation the thermal expansion of the convection medium on the operating side within the Jacket roller is attached to a bladder.
- roller width with internal forced convection, on the heat from the external Roll cooling is removable, at least 10% larger than the width of the endless rolled material.
- the jacket rolls according to the invention and the operating method can be in one 2-strand thin slab plant in the thin slab on the casting lines different widths can be cast as well as in one Hot strip mill with Schedule Free Rolling, d. H. indiscriminate rolling different thicknesses and widths.
- a 2-strand thin slab plant Axial forced convection results in a significantly reduced thermal Bales, so that thin slabs of different widths (e.g. 1000 mm and 1500 mm) can be cast and the permanent Jumps in width do not impair the ligament profile (dog bones) to lead. The remaining errors can then be compensated for by the profile control.
- the described invention enables the safe use of jacket rolls in cold and guaranteed during hot rolling.
- the shrink fit allows the transfer of the maximum torque during hot rolling, especially when tapping, when the rolling stock enters the roll gap.
- High-strength forged steels as a roll core the jacket roll transmit a comparable higher torque on the roll neck than with conventional rollers. The by the clinging of the work roll to the Back-up forces arising can be easily compensated.
- a additional security for the shrink fit when the jacket heats up the roll core is taken into account by the invention.
- the invention Shrink fit of the jacket roller stabilized in all areas without additional Tensions are generated on the surface of the jacket.
- Figure 1 is a jacket roll according to the invention with the roll core 1 and Roll shell 2 shown.
- the contact medium is centrically pumped 3 through the roller core 1 through the holes 4, the channels 5 on the outer diameter of the Roll core supplied. From here, the medium is laterally channel 5 transported outside and through the holes 6 in the annular gap 7 in countercurrent to conveyed axial center of the jacket roller.
- the contact medium passes from here a further annular gap 8 in the axial direction to the operating side of the jacket roller and thus back to the pump. By reversing the delivery direction of the pump, the Flow rate reversed.
- Figure 2 shows a possible additional rotation lock of the jacket.
- One on the Ring core seated ring 18, which has a short toothing with the roller core and pins 9 is positively connected to the roller shell.
- the Ring also as a drilling template for drilling the pin holes in the Roller shell.
- FIG. 3 shows a jacket roller according to the invention in the assembled state. This is done first a separate heating of the roll shell 2 to 200 ° -400 ° C and a Cooling of the roll core 1 down to -120 ° C by filling with liquid nitrogen.
- the shrink fit is made with vertical longitudinal axes of Roller shell 2 and roller core 1, that is, vertical arrangement of the jacket roller in a construction device 10 with a sufficiently safe upper dimension due to the high Temperature difference between roll shell and roll core.
- the roller shell 2 is suspended from a lifting device (not shown) with a lifting device 11, the sling means 12 on the ends of the eyelets 13 screwed into the roll shell 2 are attached. By lowering the sling 12, the Shrink fit.
- Axial shrinkage stresses and Tension is reduced by hydraulic expansion of the roll shell 2 Completion of the shrinking process eliminated by the channels 5 for the axial Forced convection can be pressurized hydraulically with up to 2000 bar.
