Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif de direction (1) d'un véhicule. Ce dispositif de direction (1) comprend une colonne de direction (2) et un volant (4) relié à la colonne. Le volant est composé d'au moins une jante (9) et d'au moins deux bras (6) reliés à la jante. La colonne de direction (2) est réalisée en une ou plusieurs pièces. Le dispositif de direction (1) comprend également un premier profilé raccord (3) affecté au volant (4), un deuxième profilé raccord (21) affecté au moins de façon indirecte à un mécanisme de direction, une section intermédiaire colonne de direction (10) entre le premier profilé (3) et le deuxième profilé (21), et un dispositif de compression qui, en cas de dépassement d'une charge prédéterminée de la colonne de direction (2) dans le sens axial lors d'un accident, réduit la distance entre le volant (4) et le deuxième profilé (21). Selon l'invention, le premier profilé (3) est un logement tubulaire avec lequel les bras de volant (6) sont conçus d'une seule pièce et dans le même matériau. On obtient ainsi une réduction avantageuse du nombre de pièces et du coût de montage.
