- the arresting element 30 is capable of intercepting the fork 10 in a stop position ( Figure 3) located after the fully closed position along a forward portion of the path for coupling to the pawl 11, and of causing a restraining reaction on the fork 10 to move it to the fully closed position along a return portion of the coupling path opposite the forward portion.
- the locking mechanism 4 also comprises an elastic leaf spring element 32 of elongate form, made from plastic material, carried integrally by the peripheral edge 22 of the shell 14 of the fork 10 and capable of bending when bearing against a flat contact surface 29 of the arresting element 30 at the end of the forward portion of the path for coupling to the pawl 11, to produce a braking action on the subsequent return portion of the coupling path (Figure 3).
- the elastic element 32 has corresponding end portions 33 integral with a section 34 of the peripheral edge 22 of the fork 10 opposite the tooth 18, and an intermediate portion 35 spaced apart from the aforesaid section 34 and delimiting with the latter a slot 36.
- the intermediate portion 35 of the elastic element 32 has a cross-section which is wider than the cross-section of the end portions 33 and which projects towards the interior of the slot 36.
- the supporting casing 2 also comprises, within the compartment 3, a second arresting element 37, which forms an end stop for the pawl 11 in the angular position in which it locks the fork 10 in the fully closed position ( Figure 2) and is provided, in turn, with a damper contact element 38, which in this example is a rubber block; more particularly, in operation, the extension 25 of the pawl 11 interacts with the damper element 38.
- a second arresting element 37 which forms an end stop for the pawl 11 in the angular position in which it locks the fork 10 in the fully closed position ( Figure 2) and is provided, in turn, with a damper contact element 38, which in this example is a rubber block; more particularly, in operation, the extension 25 of the pawl 11 interacts with the damper element 38.
- the lock 1 is closed from outside or inside the motor vehicle simply by slamming the door; this causes an impact of the portion 5 of the striker 6 against the tooth 18 of the fork 10, which rotates in an anticlockwise direction from the open position in Figure 1 towards the fully closed position in Figure 2 along the path for coupling to the pawl 11.
- the rotation of the fork 10 along the forward portion of the coupling path initially causes the peripheral edge 22 to slide on the engagement portion 23 of the pawl 11; as soon as the shoulder 24 passes beyond the engagement portion 23 (position of partial closure of the fork 10), the pawl 11, pushed by the corresponding spring, jumps to a position closer to the fork 10, becoming coupled to the shoulder 24.
- the locking of the fork 10 by the pawl 11 may take place either in the fully closed position or in the partially closed position, according to the force exerted on the door.
- the fully closed position is reached if the force exerted on the door causes a pressure on the fork 10 sufficient to bring the elastic element 32 into contact with the arresting element 30 and the tooth 18 beyond the engagement portion 23 of the pawl 11, while the partially closed position is reached if the force exerted on the door causes a pressure on the fork 10 sufficient to bring only the shoulder 24 beyond the engagement portion 23 of the pawl 11.
- the bending of the elastic element 32 when in contact with the arresting element 30 produces a braking action on the return portion of the path for coupling the fork 10 to the pawl 11, and thus considerably reduces the noise of the subsequent impact of the tooth 18 against the engagement portion 23.
- the elastic element 32 does not form a supplementary element to be produced and fitted on the arresting element 30 or on the fork 10, but is made in one piece with the shell 14 of the fork 10 and therefore does not entail additional costs compared to known locks.

Claims (5)
- Serrure (1) pour porte de véhicule automobile, comprenant un boítier de support (2) et un mécanisme de verrouillage (4) logé dans ledit boítier de support (2) et capable d'interagir avec un percuteur (6), ledit mécanisme de verrouillage (4) comprenant :une fourche (10) constituée, au moins à l'extérieur, d'un matériau plastique, montée sur le boítier de support (2) autour d'un premier axe (A), pourvue d'un logement (16) pour une partie (5) dudit percuteur (6), et pivotant autour dudit premier axe (A) entre une position ouverte, dans laquelle l'engagement et le désengagement de ladite partie (5) dudit percuteur (6) dans et à partir dudit logement (16) est possible, et au moins une position complètement fermée, dans laquelle ladite partie (5) dudit percuteur (6) est verrouillée dans ledit logement (16) ; etun cliquet (11) monté sur ledit boítier de support (2) autour d'un second axe (B), poussé par un moyen élastique vers un bord périphérique (22) de ladite fourche (10) et ayant une partie d'engagement (23) qui peut être raccordée par branchement rapide audit bord périphérique (22) afin de verrouiller de façon déverrouillable ladite fourche (10) dans ladite position complètement fermée ;
ledit mécanisme de verrouillage (4) comprenant en outre, au moins un élément de ressort à lame élastique (32) constitué d'un matériau plastique, intégralement porté par ledit bord périphérique (22) de ladite fourche (10) et capable de se courber lorsqu'il vient s'appuyer contre ledit premier moyen d'arrêt (30) à l'extrémité de ladite portion en avant dudit passage de raccord afin d'occasionner une action de freinage sur ladite partie de retour du passage de raccord ; ledit élément de ressort à lame élastique (32) étant de forme allongée et comprenant des parties d'extrémité (33) opposées correspondantes intégrant une section (34) dudit bord périphérique (22) de ladite fourche (10), et une partie intermédiaire (35) éloignée de ladite section (34) dudit bord périphérique (22) et délimitant avec ce dernier une fente (36) ;
caractérisée en ce que ladite portion intermédiaire (35) dudit élément de ressort à lame élastique (32) possède une section plus large que la section desdites parties d'extrémité (33) et qui dépasse vers l'intérieur de ladite fente (36), ledit élément de ressort à lame élastique (32) étant capable de se courber jusqu'à ce que sa partie intermédiaire (35) soit amenée à s'appuyer contre le bord de ladite fente (36) faisant face à ladite partie intermédiaire (35). - Serrure selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que ledit boítier de support (2) forme en son sein un compartiment (3) dans lequel ledit mécanisme de verrouillage (4) est abrité, et en ce que ledit premier moyen d'arrêt comprend un élément d'arrêt (30) dépassant dans ledit compartiment (3).
- Serrure selon la revendication 1 ou 2, caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend un second moyen d'arrêt (37) logé dans ledit boítier de support (2) et formant un arrêt d'extrémité destiné audit cliquet (11) dans la position angulaire dans laquelle il verrouille ladite fourche (10) dans ladite position complètement fermée, et un moyen d'amortissement (38) interposé entre ledit cliquet (11) et ledit second moyen d'arrêt (37).
- Serrure selon la revendication 3, caractérisée en ce que ledit moyen d'amortissement (38) comprend un bloc de caoutchouc logé dans ledit second moyen d'arrêt (37).
- Serrure selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisée en ce que ladite fourche (10) est constituée à partir d'un matériau métallique et est couverte à l'extérieur d'une coque (14) constituée d'un matériau plastique, et en ce que ledit élément de ressort à lame élastique (32) constitue avec ladite coque (14) une seule et même pièce.
