Definitions
- the invention relates to a label strip with a number of Labels, the label strip being a substrate with a Adhesive layer and a protective film.
- Such label strips are known, they are for example in Baggage handling area used for flight luggage tags (EP 0595549 B1).
- the label strips are usually in the form of rolls and are available for printing and preparation with transponders in appropriately equipped devices introduced.
- the Label strips with punched out, which when used as Luggage tags for optical detection of the beginning and end of Serve labels. The exact one is also done optically Positioning the label strip. With other devices you can further aids can be provided, for exact positioning and further transport of the label strip, for example to Printing, programming and / or testing one on the strips applied transponders. The test may show that some of the Transponders are not functional and must be replaced.
- a label roll each at a predetermined distance from one another strip-shaped carrier releasably attached self-adhesive labels so that the strip-shaped carrier with one end with an attachment element protruding in the longitudinal direction of the carrier is provided.
- This has a first adhesive zone, which with the Back of the strip-shaped carrier is glued, and a second Adhesive zone that protrudes over the end of the carrier and for gluing with one end of a strip-shaped carrier of another label roll is provided.
- the two ends of the stripe-shaped supports are in a defined distance from one transverse to the longitudinal direction of the carrier extending edge of the adjacent labels provided that the sum of the distances of the beam ends from the neighboring one Label edge equal to the specified distance between the on the Carrier is applied labels.
- the attachment element is thus self-adhesive and either at the inner or outer end of the label roll added.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of a possibility create a damaged or severed in the protective film Label strips again effortlessly and with little effort to assemble without the label strip of his current place of use or use must be removed.
- the task is for a label strip according to the generic term of Claim 1 solved in that a repair element for replacing a Part of the protective film of the label strip while observing the on the Strips predetermined distances is provided. Furthermore, the Task by a repair element for such a label strip solved in that the repair element has a substrate, the one surface releasably with that provided with an adhesive layer Substrate of the label strip is connectable and that the width of the Repair element corresponds essentially to the width of the label.
- the task is also accomplished through a procedure to repair a Label strip solved by means of such a repair element, at a first label strip end adjacent to a second End of the label strip is placed, protective films of the two Label strip ends from the adhesive surfaces of the substrates of the two Label strip ends are lifted off, the repair element with a Surface is added to the adhesive surface of the substrate and the Protective films are put back on the back of the repair element and be painted.
- the time required for the repair is only a few seconds. Subsequently, processing or processing, e.g. the pressure or the Programming of the affected label can be continued. It can therefore time and effort can be saved.
- the repair element is preferably between the substrate and the Protective film of the label strip arranged. That’s why Adhesive spots of the inserted repair element are covered.
- Alternative is it is also possible to remove the protective film of the label strip after the Attach the repair element to the adhesive layer of the substrate Label strips in the area of the ends of the repair element shorten that then protective film of the label strip and Connect the repair element directly to one another.
- this could be Solution turn out to be disadvantageous if the edges of Repair element and / or protective film from the adhesive layer of the Detach label strip while the label strip detaches a printer or another device. The onward transport of the This could interfere with the label strip. But it is towards it make sure that, just like when adding the repair element on the Substrate of the label strip facing away from it Protective film, the edges of the repair element are firmly glued or become.
- the adhesive layer of the Strip of labels on the surface of the repair element Prefers has the repair element on the of the adhesive layer of the Side of the label strip facing away from adhesive surfaces on which the Protective film of the label strip sticks.
- the protective film as well as that Repair element can preferably be made of siliconized on one side Paper.
- the protective film is preferably substantially in line with the Ends of two adjacent, forming the substrate of the label strip Labels separated. This creates a space between the two labels made of substrate released, which only by the material of the repair element is filled. At a This intermediate piece consists of the undamaged web of a label strip from the protective film of the label strip. Because this area mostly has a lower material thickness, it proves to be advantageous To make repairs in this area and only the To provide material thickness of the repair element to the repair site in the existing label strips so that for the further Using the strip there can be no source of error.
- the substrate of the label strip preferably has a printable one Thermal layer on the side facing the protective film in the essentially completely in the area of the adhesive surfaces of the Repair element is covered, which on the of the thermal layer opposite side are arranged. This will open the thermal layer its underside still protected during printing, the Repair element in its function in place of the protective film of the Label strip occurs.
- the repair element with the adhesive surfaces is particularly preferred provided with a coated, in particular siliconized surface.
- the repair element itself has a substrate, which is preferably is made of the same material as the protective film of the Label strip, in particular from a base paper from which Silicone paper is made.
- the repair element can be one-sided be siliconized.
- the particular length and width of the adhesive surfaces are particularly preferred of the repair element chosen so that the length is essentially the Corresponds to the width of the label strip.
- Perforations and / or punched holes are provided between the Adhesive surfaces arranged at a distance from these. Particularly preferred corresponds essentially to the distance between the two adhesive surfaces the distance between the individual labels on the label strip.
- the edges of the substrate (i.e. the edges of the later label) and the shortened ends of the protective film of the label strip then lie preferably aligned one above the other.
- the repair element can be a substrate with the at least one have coated, in particular siliconized surface, wherein the adhesive surfaces are applied to the non-siliconized surface are.
- the repair element with its siliconized surface added to the adhesive layer of the label strip for a later Allow peeling.
- the repair element should be one-sided be siliconized if the protective film of the label strip is not necessarily removed from the label.
- a repair set preferably consists of at least one of these Repair element, a separating device for separating a Part of the ends of a label strip in need of repair and a device for fixing the ends of the separated one Label strip provided.
- the device preferably has Set the ends of the severed label strips finger or pin-shaped devices, which in corresponding openings of the Insert the label strip to hold the ends in place.
- a A label strip can also be repaired without a repair kit, simply by manually placing the repair element between Substrate with adhesive layer and protective film on the label strip. It is important to ensure that those provided in the repair element Then punch out the same distance and in a line with the other punched out of the label strip to the Further transport of the label strip in one device (e.g. a printer).
- repair element without any punching or Perforation to use.
- die cuts can be made and / or perforations even after inserting the repair element in a label strip in this by means of, for example, a Hand punch are inserted.
- the effort for the production of not punched and / or perforated repair elements is a lot less and therefore cheaper to manufacture than those with Perforations and / or punchings.
- a separator for Cut off part of the ends of the repair Label strip provided.
- This separation device can be a folding knife, similar to cutting slides, films etc., or a conventional pair of scissors, a thin thread or the like.
- a hand punch can be used that both cut and also has a punching function.
- the protective layer is preferably covering the edges at the ends of the Substrate stamped labels before removing the protective layer from the adhesive layer separated. This will ensure a good cut allows. In the event that a punched in the substrate The end of the label is partially torn and can be removed a straight cut through substrate with adhesive layer and protective film be performed.
- a method for producing such a repair element provides that a substrate in a to the dimensions of a label strip Adapted shape and size in the area of a point to be repaired is cut so that the substrate, if necessary, with Perforations and / or punched out of the label strip adapted Perforations and / or punched out before or after insertion in the Label strip is provided and that on the substrate on the Surface adhesive surfaces can be provided.
- the Adhesive surfaces on the substrate of the repair element by brushing the selected areas with a suitable adhesive.
- the adhesive surfaces can be attached by attaching one with a Transfer film provided on the substrate of the Repair element are applied.
- the adhesive surfaces can also by other known methods on the substrate of the repair element be applied.
- Both the size of the adhesive surfaces and theirs Intensity, shape, design and size are preferably in Dependency on the selected application, in particular on selected the dimensions of the label strip.
- the repair can also be carried out within a Test device for the transponders happen, which has the advantage that no further device for setting is required since the Label strips already clamped in the device and for Further transport is inserted appropriately.
- Fig. 1 is a detailed perspective view of a Label strip 1 shown.
- the label strip has labels 2, of which only the ends are shown.
- the Labels have a substrate 10 with one attached to it Adhesive layer 11 and a protective film 12 covering this.
- Adhesive layer 11 In the The two protective films 12 of the adhesive layers 11 are shown partially lifted off.
- the ends 13 of the two labels 2 are with a Spaced from each other. This distance is one Repair element 20 covers which on the adhesive layer 11 of the Substrate 10 of the two labels 2 is added.
- the repair element 20 has a substrate 21 which is within its Surface a parallel to the edges 14 of the two labels Perforation 24 and punched 25 provided therein. Perforation and punched holes correspond to those in the protective film 12 previously provided at this point, but it has been shortened so far, that the edges 16 of the two ends 15 of the protective film 12 essentially cover the edges 14 of the ends 13 of the substrate 10.
- the repair element preferably has such a width that the entire width of the substrate is completely covered. This advantageously prevents, for example, when printing the labels have an uneven print image due to warping or Similar undesirable effects occur.
- the repair element 20 has that Substrate 21.
- the substrate 21 for example from the base paper of silicone paper.
- Silicon paper is more transparent than conventional paper, i.e. less opaque. This enables label recognition with translucent light.
- the base paper is with a coated, siliconized surface 22 and one in particular provided uncoated surface 23.
- adhesive 30 On the coated surface 23 there is adhesive 30 in the range of Surfaces 26 and 27 applied.
- the adhesive can either be applied directly these surfaces are applied or by transfer adhesive, thus via film strips 31, 32 provided with the adhesive Film strips 31, 32 serve to protect the adhesive layer and prevent the repair element from sticking before Intended use.
- the dimensions of the repair element correspond to those for the appropriate label strips are required. For example, points the repair element has external dimensions of 54 x 36 mm.
- the Adhesive surfaces can be of different dimensions and for example, have a respective width of 10 or 20 mm.
- the narrower surface 26 can be applied to the substrate of a label which e.g. in the range of 10 mm from the outer edge 14 removed has a die cut that will be cut later.
- the Repair element is preferably precisely on these peculiarities of the Adapted label strip.
- Fig. 3 is the procedure of repairing one to be separated or torn label strip with transponder.
- Process step I initially shows a basic side view a roll 8 of a label strip 1 together with a Processing device 40. Cutouts 4 are also shown in dashed lines between the individual labels 2 of the label strip 1. After the Attach and test transponders 60 on the label strips and / or before processing in processing device 40, for example for programming or printing the labels, it can become a intentional or unwanted tearing or severing of the Label strip 1 come in the punched area 4. It can also a defective transponder is detected and therefore the corresponding this label can be removed. This is through one Arrow flash indicated. Since the further processing of such a torn or severed label strip in the Processing device 40 would lead to a fault, since none Further transport of the label strip towards the processing device the label strip will need to be repaired.
- the label strip will to a device 50 for setting the generated Label roll parts of the label strip in need of repair been added.
- Such a finger or pen-like device 51 protrudes also between the two labels 2 in the area of the torn point through the protective film 12 of the label strip.
- On unwanted slipping of the label strip in the lateral direction can also be avoided by additional side guides. These are indicated in FIG. 3 by reference number 52.
- the Label strip 1 lies with the substrate side in the direction of the Device 50.
- the protective film 12 in essentially straight and flush with the edges 14 of the labels 2 separated. This is due to the two scissors 53 in step II indicated. You can then use a defective transponder provided label completely separated from the label strip become.
- the labels 2 that are adjacent are then each the protective film 12 in the region of the ends 15 of the substrate and the Adhesive layer 11 lifted off.
- the length of this is depending on the nature of the labels. Assigns the label for example, in the area of its end 13, a die cut
- the protective film is preferably only pulled off close to this punch be otherwise feared that this part of the label separates itself unintentionally in this area.
- device 50 is shown in FIG Process step III is no longer shown. But especially with this The operation is used to fix the position of the label strip viewed very advantageous.
- the lifting of the two protective film ends 15 from the adhesive layer 11 of the Substrate 10 in process step III should be careful and without Damage to the die cuts in the substrate and without kinking the Protective film or the substrate.
- the label 2 is the repair element 20 on the Adhesive layer 11 of the two labels added.
- middle finger or pen-shaped device 51 as special helpful, since the punch 25 provided in the repair element the device 51 can be plugged on. The position of the The repair element is thus precisely defined and non-slip.
- the repair element is on with its siliconized surface 22 the adhesive layer 11 of the two labels 2 added.
- the in the field of Surfaces 26, 27 provided with the adhesive 30 surface 23 of the Repair element 20, however, is directed towards the protective film 12.
- the Film strips 31, 32 are from the surfaces 26, 27 of the Repair element 20 removed (not shown).
- the repaired label strip 1 can then be removed be removed from the device 50.
- the repair element 20 is now replaced completely the actual protective film 12 in the area between the two labels 2. Since the repair element 20 is preferably the same Has material thickness, like the protective film 12, is the increase in thickness in the area of three layers (substrate 10, repair element 20, Protective film 12) not so significantly that therefore a faltering in the Processing device 40 would be expected. On the other hand, the stability of the Connection between the two labels - created by the Repair element 20 - completely restored, so that the continuous operation in the further processing of the label strip can continue.
- the label strip can of course also be repaired without the device 50 take place. You should only pay attention to this that the distances between the perforations on the Label strips are continuously continued or adhered to, so that there is no interference with further processing of the Label strip occur.
- the label strip also - when removing one with a defective transponder provided labels - in the appropriate processing device on site be repaired. There he is already advantageous in his Positioning is fixed, which is why the use of the device 50 is not is required.
- Fig. 4 shows a further possibility, an inventive Integrate repair element into a label strip.
- the Repair element 20 is without in the illustrated embodiment Perforation or punching is formed, which of course also could be provided with these. It is based on that of the substrate 10 opposite side of the protective film 12 by means of its with the adhesive 30 provided surfaces glued.
- Repair element should be so thin that this area does not close afterwards Faults in the further processing of the label strip leads. To the others should, for the same reason, the edges of the Repair element be glued so well that they are not from the Protruding surface of the protective film 12.
