Definitions
- Tear threads 1 are usually flat foils, especially for cigarette packagings, which are thicker than the packaging foil 2. Usually, tear threads 1 are used which have a thickness of approx. 20 ⁇ m and a width of 1 mm to 2 mm. For better identification - as can be seen from FIG. 1 - tear threads 1 are often designed in color and thus stand out clearly from the packaging film 2 or the object to be packaged. For gripping the tear thread 1 at the beginning it is designed as a tab 3 projecting beyond the packaging film 2 .
- the packaging film 2 is usually cut on the left and right sides at the beginning of a tear thread - that is to say on both sides of the tab - in order to achieve a targeted tearing of the packaging film 2 parallel to the tear thread 1 .
- both the height of the waves of the tear thread 1, as can be seen in Fig. 2, as well as the radii of the waves and the number of waves, based on the total length of the tear thread, represent codes that with the previous section, one-sided stretching of Tear-off thread 1 have been introduced into this in a targeted manner.
- the height of the waves or radii is not readily determinable, since these also depend on environmental influences, but the number of waves, based on the total length of the tear thread 1 of a package, can also provide information about an original product in a very simple manner for him give. Constant environmental conditions are required for more precise investigations regarding the originality by measuring the height or radii of the waves.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a tear thread for film packaging with features for Labelling.
It is known to provide products with outer packaging made of films. To open these outer packaging made of film, threads, ribbons or cords are often inserted from one side of the packaging material or around it without the use of additional agents, from the same film material, sometimes in a different color, but mostly with a higher material thickness or several material layers connected to one another. One end of these threads, ribbons or cords is hanging freely, as a tab for pulling up. The resulting opening of the tear-open device is usually notched, incised in order to enable targeted opening with little effort. If you pull the tab in the tear direction, the tear element tears or cuts the packaging film and divides it. The product can be removed.
Also known are packaging - mostly cardboard boxes or thick plastic wrappings - which have defined parallel perforations and also have a flap at the end. These packages generally do not require any additional reinforcements in the opening area.
These known opening methods described first are used by so many manufacturers for so many products, even for products of the same type, so often that there is a difference both in the film packaging and in the tear mechanism or in the color of a tear thread from product to product Brand to brand is not possible. In most cases, torn and thus destroyed film wrappings do not differ for the eyes of the consumer. This defect naturally also makes it easy for imitators and counterfeiters to produce such foil packaging in order to encase counterfeit products.
To counter product piracy, especially with branded products and the enormous ones To reduce material damage to the original producer is the job of Invention to design the film packaging with its tear mechanism so that a company-specific, suitable for tamper-evident closure possibility is found. The An effect of originality must be shown to the user as soon as the product is opened. Furthermore, it is an object of the invention to design the tear thread such that a Originality check with a corresponding test device before opening the Packaging is possible.

Since the
If, for example, a batch, quarterly or yearly coding is specified by the manufacturer on the basis of radii, shafts or spirals, this can certainly be stated on the packaging to enable the consumer to differentiate between the original and the counterfeit. Such consumer information can of course be omitted, and only the manufacturer or corresponding testing bodies know the coding. The manufacturer can have his products tested on a sample basis both domestically and abroad. This provides effective protection against counterfeiting provided in accordance with the invention.
The features of the invention go beyond the exemplary embodiments set out here based on the individual figures also from the claims, the individual features alone or in groups in the form of sub-combinations of the individual elements represent advantageous protective designs for which protection is claimed here.
