Definitions
- the invention relates to a holder for a carbon brush, in particular for Electric motors or generators, comprising a preferably cuboidal carbon brush axially displaceable housing with to be penetrated by the cooling brush front opening, one arranged in the housing acting on the carbon brush Spring element, which is assigned a first retaining element on the back of the housing, and a at least one housing wall arranged in the front area of the housing, in particular a housing wall with a bulge that extends outwards into the interior of the housing projecting around a bending line bendable second retaining element for the spring element.
- the invention relates to a method for equipping a holder with a spring element and a carbon brush, in particular for use in electric motors or generators, the holder being a preferably cuboid the carbon brush accommodates axially displaceable housing with to be penetrated by the carbon brush front opening and the spring element acting on the carbon brush has a first retaining element on the back of the housing and in the front area are assigned second retaining element, which in turn is by at least one of one Sidewall of the housing outgoing and into this bendable about a bending line Element like flag or web is formed.
- a corresponding holder can be found in DE 25 51 056 A1.
- the coil spring element, about the carbon brush is supplied with electricity, is on the face of the carbon holder on the front edge outgoing retaining element in the form of a tongue assigned, which ensures that the carbon brush cannot be worn to the extent that the spring element interacts with a commutator, damaging it would be.
- the retaining element in the form of a tongue is delimited by slots extend to the front edge of the housing opening so that there is a weakening.
- the tongues themselves run in the immediate vicinity with their inwardly curved ends the carbon brush, so that electrical fields can build up which lead to sparking and thus can damage the carbon brush itself.
- Brush holders are described in DE 36 27 491 C2 or DE 42 41 401 A1 which locking means are provided to hold the carbon brushes in order to facilitate assembly to enable.
- the spring elements acting on the carbon brushes themselves are retained over the carbon brush when it is fixed.
- the present invention is based on the problem of a holder and a method to develop such a spring element and a carbon brush, that on the one hand there is a simplification of the assembly and on the other hand the possibility exists, the holder with the spring element detached from the carbon brush desired Assembly stations to feed without, however, compared to commonly used Brackets Changes can be made in the internal geometry of the brackets must, as a result of which undesirable current paths could form. Also a weakening of the collector-side edge of the holder should be avoided.
- the second retaining element forms a kind of barb against uncontrolled sliding out of the spring element from the housing of the holder, the The tip of the barb extends towards the center of the housing as well Back stretches.
- the retaining element and the wall from which the retaining element which is a section of the wall formed by punching out, close from the The back of the case looks at an acute angle.
- the second retaining element such as a flag or rag is out of the wall cut-out as well as punched-out section surrounded by the wall, which can be weakened in the area of its bending line. This can weaken this can be achieved that the bending line ends in recesses like holes.
- the possibility is given not only to easily hold the retaining element into the interior of the housing and to bend towards the back, but also when a carbon brush in the housing should be introduced to bend the retaining element outward so far that the original cross section of the housing remains essentially unchanged, ensuring that is that in particular the free edge area of the retaining element is not undesirable runs a short distance from a carbon brush inserted in the holder.
- the first retaining element running on the rear of the housing is an integral part of the bracket itself and by parallel webs is formed, which in turn edge portions of the side walls having the bulge are also known as feather bellies. This will make the cross section of the otherwise the rear open bracket is limited in such a way that the spring, which is in some areas extends in the area of the spring bulges, can not overcome the webs, so that Spring element is secured.
- the second holding element extends from the edge of the collector the housing walls outgoing and projecting over the edge section is the preferably has the shape of a rectangular tongue.
- a section in the middle or approximately in the middle of the one having a bulge Housing wall runs out.
- the section runs in one Level that is spanned by edges of the bracket that run on the collector side.
- the alternative solution means that spring assembly is easy and easy to use for final assembly possible without additional devices, without weakening the Housing walls from which the sections retaining the spring element originate, he follows; because the corresponding sections protrude above this wall.
- a method for equipping a holder with a spring element and a carbon brush The type described above is characterized in that after the spring element has been introduced the second retaining element in the direction of both the center of the housing and the rear of the housing in is bent to an extent that the spring element is retained, that for Introduce the carbon brush first the spring element in the direction of the back of the housing and is moved in the axial direction, that then the second retaining element after is bent outside in such a way that the retaining element in or substantially in the plane of the wall from which the retaining element originates, the end face continues Opening is covered to the extent that a cross section is available that is smaller than that of the spring element, and that then the carbon brush into the holder is introduced.
- the holding element bends in the direction of the center of the housing and whose back from the outside of the corresponding the retaining element as an integral Partial wall and when bending the holding element from the inside of the housing.
- the holder 10 has a cuboid housing 14, in the longitudinal direction thereof the carbon brush 12 is displaceable.
- the housing 14 has an end opening 16, which - as illustrated in FIG. 5 - can be enforced by the carbon brush 12.
- the housing 14 also has a rear opening 18 that is parallel by two mutually extending webs 20, 22 is covered in some areas.
- the webs 20, 22 are Portions of side walls 24, 26 of the housing 14.
- the side walls 24, 26 each go into flat and parallel upper and lower walls 28, 30 over. Adjacent from the upper and lower walls 28, 30 of the housing 14 Sections 32, 34 and 36, 38 of the side walls 24, 26 run perpendicular to that of the walls 28 and 30 and laterally delimit the housing interior area 35, 37, within which and in the space 39 between them the carbon brush 12 runs.
- the Side walls 24, 26 are bulged outside the parallel sections 32, 34, 36, 38, so-called spring bellies 40, 42 form around a spiral spring 44 axially in the housing to be arranged displaceably, which acts on the carbon brush 12.
- the housing 14 of the bracket 10 is a stamped part, which by folding and stretching the Bellies 40, 42 and subsequent joining of dovetail-shaped interlocking Sections in the area of the upper or lower wall 28, 30 joined together becomes.
- the bottom 30 extends in the area of the rear opening 18 from an optionally L-shaped angled connecting lug 44, with which a strand 46 of the carbon brush 12 is connected.
- the webs 20, 22 form first rear holding elements for the spring element 41 and can thus referred to as the first spring brakes.
- the housing 10 alone with the spring element 41 to different assembly stations to transport or to enable a pre-assembly without the carbon brush 12 itself must be arranged in the housing 14, which according to the prior art then acts as a spring brake when the carbon brush itself in the housing is fixed, go from the bellies 40, 42, that is from the side walls 24, 26 of the Housing 14 into the housing interior bendable tabs or flags 48, 50, each around a bending line 52, 53 are bendable, which runs perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the housing.
- the cutouts 48, 50, which form the second spring brake, run in the exemplary embodiment completely within the respective side wall 24, 26 or the spring belly 40, 42, whereby the front edge 54 of the side walls 24, 26 is not weakened.
- the flags 48, 50 are cut out of the side walls 24, 26 such that the bending line 52, 53 is on the end face and the bendable section 48, 50 is on the back of the housing, as is illustrated by FIG. 2.
- the invention provides that the Spring brakes, d. H. the flags or sections 48, 50 forming these prior to insertion the carbon brush 12 in the direction of the side wall 24, 26 or the spring bellies 40, 42 after are bent outside, so that there is a course of the sections 48, 50 that the corresponds to the original state, in which the sections 48, 50 in the of the side walls 24, 26 or the spring bellies 40, 42 spanned planes.
- a tool 62 is inserted into the housing 14 starting from the front opening 16 introduced, which has a rectangular front section 64 and a cylindrical has rear section 66.
- the cuboid section 64 corresponds to the cross section of the housing 14 between the top and bottom forming the top and bottom of the housing lower wall 28, 30 and the side wall sections 32, 34, starting from these 36, 38, is thus adapted to the geometry of the inner space 35, 37, 39 of the housing 14.
- the cylindrical section 66 is the inner geometry of the housing 14 in the area of Feather belly walls 40, 42 adapted. If the tool 62 is inserted into the housing 14, so the cuboid section 64 first detects the spring element 41 in the area between the sections 32, 34, 36, 38 of the side walls 24, 26, so that the axial Pushing the tool 42 in compresses the spring element 41 in the direction of the rear becomes. Then the cylindrical portion 64 of the tool 62 acts from Interior of the housing 14 on the cutouts 48, 50 with the result that these in the direction of Bellies 40, 42 are bent outwards to assume an end position, such as this can be seen in FIG. 5.
- slide elements 68, 70 are provided, which to an appropriate extent close the front opening 16. You can then choose between the Slider elements 68, 70 released gap, the carbon brush 12 are inserted, which to the area 35, 37 between the sections 32, 36 and 34, 38 of the side walls 24, 26 stretched in, so that accordingly when inserting the carbon brush accordingly the spring element 41 is taken.
