Definitions
- the present invention relates to a blanket cylinder in one Rotary printing machine according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Web-fed offset printing presses usually have inking units through which over a number of friction rollers and inking rollers on one on the rotatable in one Frame of the printing machine mounted plate cylinder attached printing plate color is applied.
- Blanket cylinder On a likewise rotatably mounted in the frame of the printing press Blanket cylinder, the axis of which is substantially parallel to the axis of the Plate cylinder runs, a rubber blanket is attached.
- the peripheral surface of the Blanket contacts the peripheral surface of the printing plate, i.e. i.e., blanket and Pressure plate are in rolling contact, so that during the printing operation of the Printing machine transfers an image from the plate to the blanket.
- the rubber blanket is still in rolling contact with a substrate or one Material web that is printed with the colored image.
- a substrate or one Material web On the other side of the Material web can be a comparable arrangement of ink rollers, a plate cylinder and a blanket cylinder so that both sides of the web are simultaneously can be printed (rubber-rubber printing unit).
- the path can also be the same Counter pressure cylinder can be arranged.
- the pressure plate usually consists of a relatively thin, flat, flexible Material, mostly made of metal. In length, it can be slightly larger than that Circumferential surface of the plate cylinder while being approximately the width of the width Corresponds to the circumferential surface of the plate cylinder. Fixing the pressure plate on the plate cylinder is done by the pressure plate around the peripheral surface of the Plate cylinder is put around and the edges in a plate clamping device Plate cylinders are attached.
- Blankets are usually made of a flexible rubber material and include often several layers, e.g. B. a lower rubber layer, a compressible rubber layer and a printing surface layer.
- a rubber blanket can be considered a flat rubber blanket be formed, which is placed around the peripheral surface of the blanket cylinder and its edges in a blanket clamping device of the blanket cylinder are attached.
- Clamping devices For attaching the ends of the conventional offset printing plates or the Blankets are from the prior art, for. B. from US 5 503 072, numerous Clamping devices are known, which usually comprise two movable clamping rails, in which the respective ends of the printing plate or the rubber blanket are clamped are then clamped against each other by moving the clamping rails of the printing plate or the blanket.
- a disadvantage of the Clamping devices of the prior art is that always a comparatively wide There is a gap, especially in the tensioning devices for rubber blankets can be made arbitrarily small, since the ends of the rubber blanket pass through it must be guided in the respective receptacles of the clamping rails.
- the comparatively large gap in the known blanket tensioners leads on the one hand that the non-printing area is unnecessarily large, which is particularly the case with the high-speed web-fed rotary printing presses used today leads to unnecessary paper consumption, and that, on the other hand, due to the out of roundness of Vibrations excited by cylinders in the area of the gap - the so-called channel impact high speeds lead to a considerable deterioration of the printed image.
- an offset printing machine in particular one Web-fed rotary offset printing machine, a blanket cylinder with one in it formed axially extending gap, in which a rail-like insert is added is.
- the insert has a slot in the barb-shaped recesses are formed, in which correspondingly oppositely formed barbs are included, which are attached to an attachment portion of an associated flat Blanket are attached, which is stretched on the blanket cylinder.
- the in Slot-shaped barb-shaped recesses or the barbs are in the way that after inserting the barb of the rubber blanket in the Slot of the insert the blanket is stretched around the blanket cylinder.
- the rail-like insert is preferably before attaching the rubber blanket on the Blanket cylinder firmly connected to an edge of the blanket.
- An advantage of the present invention is that it provides a blanket that can be attached to a blanket cylinder with a relatively small gap. This allows the Channel blow "known phenomenon (the interaction of the gap with the surface of the associated cylinder creates dynamic forces which cause vibrations and the like), which eliminates the need for bearer rings. Bearer rings are required at each end of the pressure cylinder to the distance to keep constant between the centers of rotation of the rotating cylinders and thus avoid the effects of the channel blow The present invention eliminates bearer rings by reducing the channel blow phenomenon.
- the present invention also eliminates the use of Clamping spindle devices, which usually have a complicated mechanism and are complex to manufacture.
- the present invention provides a way to simply attach a rubber blanket by using the barbs in the gap Be brought into place so that the rubber blanket is firmly stretched around the cylinder.
- the blanket comprises at least one support layer, a compressible layer arranged above and one above the compressible layer arranged printing layer.
- a first fastener on the rubber blanket be arranged, which is preferably connected to the support layer, for. B. glued or is vulcanized into the rubber blanket.
- the barbs are at the other end of the Blanket also preferably connected to the support layer, e.g. B. by gluing or by vulcanization into the layer structure of the rubber blanket.
- the first fastening element or the barbs with the rubber blanket by riveting or screwing with corresponding counter plates or connect in any other way.
- the rail-like insert is in relation to the bottom surface of the blanket cylinder gap spaced in a manner (e.g. by variable spacers) that the Roof surface of the rail-like insert flush with the outer surface of the Blanket cylinder locks.
- the roof area, i.e. H. the radially outer surface of the rail-like insert is preferably bent in such a way that the Radius of curvature corresponds to the radius of the blanket cylinder. This allows the Significantly reduce channel runout again.
- the rail-like insert 20 also has a slot 22 in which the rear edge 135 the blanket 30 can be attached. At least one side of the slot 22 has a plurality of edges or barbs 25a, 25b, 25c.
- the second end 13 of the rubber blanket 30 further comprises at least one axially extending second fastener 32, e.g. B. from a polymer which one or has a plurality of barbs 33a, 33b, the shape of which is barbed Recesses or edges 25a, 25b of the slot 22 correspond.
- the second Fastening element 32 is firmly connected or forms with the rubber blanket 30 preferably an integral part of the blanket 30. As shown in FIG. 1 it preferably extends from the compressible layer 132 through the Support layer 133 through. In the production of the rubber blanket 30, the two can do this Fasteners 32 and 134 are inserted through the support layer 133 before the compressible layer 132 applied and, if necessary, for the production of Cavities or gaps e.g. B. is drained and finally the printing Layer 131 is applied.
- the insert 20 in the gap 5 of the Blanket 30 connected insert 20 To apply the rubber blanket 30 and the fastening element 134 with the Blanket 30 connected insert 20, the insert 20 in the gap 5 of the Blanket 30 inserted.
- the positioning or lifting mechanism 100 connects the Insert 20 with the blanket cylinder 1 in such a way that the roof surface 123 is flush ends with the surface 10.
- the blanket cylinder 1 is then usually in Creeper gear rotated so that the rubber blanket 30 lies firmly around the surface 10. This process will preferably be supported by an impression cylinder who contacts the blanket 30.
- the fastener 32 of the rubber blanket 30 is then inserted into the slot 22.
- the one at the joints of the first and second ends 11, 13 of the blanket 30 remaining slot or gap has, as shown in Fig. 1, after tensioning the Blanket 30 on the blanket cylinder 1 preferably has such a small width, that bearer rings to reduce the channel impact and other vibrations are not more are needed.
- the surface curved according to the curvature of the cylinder or outside of the insert 20 ensures a smooth rolling of the Rubber cylinder 1 on contact with the assigned printing plate cylinder.
- Fig. 2 shows an offset printing machine 40, the frame 41, a first Plate cylinder 50, the blanket cylinder 1, a second blanket cylinder 101 and includes a second plate cylinder 150.
- an opening 43 for one or more blanket cylinders 1, 101 may be provided, the blanket cylinders 1, 101 as described above can be trained.
- the opening 43 can also be a door have to provide additional support for the flying during the printing operation arranged cylinders 1, 101 to create.
- the barb-shaped recesses 25a-25c formed in the slot 22 and the associated edges and barbs 33a-33c can be one of those shown in FIG Have a different shape.
