Definitions
- the invention relates to an endless belt for use in the drainage area, especially in the forming area of a machine for production a fibrous web such as in particular a paper, cardboard, tissue and / or nonwoven web.
- a twin-wire zone of a former known from DE 44 20 801 C2 is a sieve supported by a band that is permeable to water or can be impermeable to water.
- the use of a waterproof Tape has the particular disadvantage that paper quality is disturbed by an introduced air boundary layer and in addition, double-sided drainage is not possible. If the tape is permeable to water, e.g. drilled, so is a drainage through this Band possible. Especially in the initial drainage area, in which large amounts of water occur, there is a risk of Path markings due to very high flow speeds.
- a press of a paper machine known from DE 44 11 621 A1 comprises a press belt, of which the one to be pressed is formed in the forming area Paper web is separated by a press felt, which is part of the Press water absorbs. The rest of the press water is in the Grooves of the press belt saved. The proportion of grooves in the The total surface of the belt should be as small as possible in order to be sufficient to obtain a large support surface which is necessary for low belt wear.
- Such a tape design is for raw pressures and small ones Drainage rates suitable. Larger drainage flows, such as in Formation area occur, can not be managed with it. The bare Increasing the strip thickness to increase the water absorption capacity would result in a tape with too high bending stiffness. One about the Wide, uniform drainage as required in the forming area would not be possible.
- a wire section described in DE-A-196 34 349 is on the of the side of a sieve belt facing away from the suspension with a rotating one or transversely extending profile tape provided with a Provide a variety of holes, holes or slots and thus is more or less open.
- the profile tape can also be a rough, ribbed one or otherwise profiled outer surface facing the sieve belt have, in which case it can be impermeable.
- the aim of the invention is an endless belt of the type mentioned to create that enables both-sided drainage in the former, without losing the quality of the fibrous web as a result of a marking affected by high drainage rates, as well as the setting optimal drainage conditions across the width allowed.
- the object is achieved according to the invention in that it is at least essentially closed on one side and open on the opposite side, that its water storage volume is at least 5 l / m 2 and in particular in a range from about 5 to about 25 l / m 2 , preferably in a range from about 10 to about 18 l / m 2 , and that its mean bending stiffness in the circumferential direction and its mean bending stiffness in the transverse direction, based on a width of 1 m, each have a value which is less than or equal to 10 Nm 2 is.
- the average bending stiffness in the circumferential direction can be equal to the average Flexural rigidity in the transverse direction.
- the bending stiffness in the circumferential direction and the bending stiffness in the transverse direction can, however also differentiate from each other.
- the tape can have grooves in particular on its open side his. At least some of the grooves can generally extend in the circumferential direction and / or at least part of the grooves generally in the transverse direction extend. According to a preferred practical embodiment of the tape according to the invention are both general in the circumferential direction extending grooves as well as generally extending transversely Grooves provided. Basically, the grooves can also be spiral run.
- Band has at least a part of the grooves a depth that in one Range from about 5 to about 25 mm and especially in one range from about 12 to about 20 mm, around the necessary storage volume provide.
- the band can also be a variety possess of knobs or formed by a plurality of such knobs above all, which has the advantage of lower bending stiffness in circumferential and transverse direction with a high storage volume brings.
- these can generally be in the circumferential direction and arranged in generally transverse rows his.
- it is also a spiral arrangement of the knobs possible.
- the drainage screen in question is then the one with it in Contacting contact surface of the knobs worn.
- Belt is the outer one that can be brought into contact with a sieve belt
- Total contact area of the knobs is less than or equal to 50% of the total surface of the tape, particularly in a range of about 15 to 30%, and preferably in a range from about 20 to about 25 % of the total surface of the belt lies.
