Abstract

Eine Trockenpartie 10 einer Maschine zur Herstellung einer Materialbahn 12 wie insbesondere einer Papier- oder Kartonbahn umfaßt wenigstens eine Trockengruppe 14 mit zumindest einem Trockenzylinder 16 und wenigstens eine Bahnleiteinrichtung 18, 20, um die die Materialbahn 12 mäanderförmig herumgeführt ist. In dieser Trockenpartie 10 wird der sich in der Materialbahn 12 quer zur Bahnlaufrichtung ergebende Schrumpfverlauf dadurch eingestellt oder kontrolliert, daß wenigstens ein, vorzugsweise mehrere Bereiche geschaffen werden, in denen jeweils eine zumindest im wesentlichen freie, ungehinderte Schrumpfung der Materialbahn 12 möglich ist.
