Definitions
- the invention is concerned with the design of the so-called trough of a food or Feed device for use in a textile machine, in particular one Spinning machine.
- feeder and feeder are here equivalent. To simplify the description, only the term is used below “Feeder” used. However, this term includes the synonymous term “Media device”.
- spinning machines that include feeders are blowroom machines (such as cleaners and openers), cards, filling shafts, mixers and rotor spinning machines.
- blowroom machines such as cleaners and openers
- cards such as cards
- filling shafts such as mixers
- mixers such as mixers
- rotor spinning machines are examples of spinning machines that include feeders.
- the invention is not restricted to these application examples.
- the feed trough of a spinning machine is usually formed as a rigid element. Examples can be found in US-B-4,275,483, DE-A-42 00 394 and DE-A-44 39 564.
- Pedal depressions are also known (see FR-A-2 322 943, FR-A-2 322 942 and DE-Gbm-92 18 341).
- a stiff feeder is easy to manufacture and assemble, but it has it Disadvantage (especially with a working width of e.g. 1000 mm to 1500 mm or even more) that the clamping effect is distributed unevenly over the working width, if the feed wadding has an uneven thickness or density across the width.
- the invention therefore provides a feed trough for use in a feed device with a feed roller and a feed trough.
- the food trough includes a bending-resistant support element and at least one gap-forming element fastened to the support element Element.
- the gap-forming element is elastically deformable.
- the invention also includes a feed device with such a feed trough.
- the gap-forming element is preferably elastic in the longitudinal direction of the roller deformable, in particular locally elastically deformable.
- the element can change depending on thick or thin spots or foreign bodies deform locally elastically in the cotton wool.
- a known known revolving card e.g. the applicant's C50 card, shown schematically.
- the fiber material is in the form of dissolved and cleaned flakes fed into the filling shaft 20 by a licker-in 32 (FIG. 3) (also called Briseur) adopted as a wadding, a drum 40 (also drum called) and through the cooperation of the drum with a Moving cover set 52 dissolved and cleaned.
- the covers of the revolving cover set 52 are by a suitable drive system of the revolving cover unit via deflection rollers along a closed path (in the same direction or opposite to the direction of rotation the drum).
- Fibers from the fleece located on drum 40 are picked up by a customer 70 and in one of different rollers existing outlet section 80 formed into a sliver 90.
- This card sliver 90 is transferred from a belt deposit (not shown) into a transport can in cycloidal turns stored.
- An alternative construction of the card is shown in EP-A-866 153 Service.
- the invention can also be used in alternative construction. The The content of EP-A-866 153 is thus integrated here.
- FIG. 2 schematically shows a computer 4 with input and output signals. Signals are entered from two sensors B5 and B6, which are described in more detail below are explained, as well as signals which, among other things, the speed of the Card sliver at the outlet (Va) and various data such as Setpoints for Show tape weight.
- the basic principle of conventional belt regulation is based on two measures, namely a "long-term” regulation and a regulation with "short-term addition" at the inlet, where disturbances at the time of feeding should be balanced.
- a sensor B5 detects which is on a feed trough 6B is arranged, the unevenness of the weight of the incoming cotton pad. These correspond to the deflections of the swivel-mounted feed trough compared to the feed roller 6A (see also Fig. 3).
- the sensor B5, as in 1 shows the computer 4 a cross-section-dependent signal 6. Die Electronics influence the drive motor with the signal 7 via a control unit 8 (not shown) of the feed roller 6A and thus the speed of the feed roller.
- the further sensor B6 shown in FIG. 1 scans the card sliver that is running out and delivers an electrical signal 2 dependent on the belt weight to the regulation (the computer) 4.
- An actual value becomes independent of the computer 4 as input signal 2 read from the outlet speed and with that of the electronics beforehand entered entered belt weight setpoint, cf. also Fig. 2.
- the speed the feed roller is influenced accordingly by the control to the belt weight to keep constant in the outlet.
- the sensor B5 delivers measured values which are used by the computer 4 for the "short-term addition” be used while the sensor B6 provides readings from the computer 4 can be used to implement "long-term regulation".
- the latter Regulation is irrelevant to this invention and is not mentioned further. details the regulation as a whole can be found in EP-A-799 915.
- roller 3 is a rigid (bending-resistant) structure. It stretches over the total length of roller 6A, i.e. across the working width of the machine.
- the feed trough 6B is countered by a compression spring 6C the roller 6A pressed, the axis of rotation of the roller fixed in the machine frame (not shown) is mounted.
- the trough 6B is pivotally mounted about the axis 6D by means of a holder 6E.
- a displacement sensor (not shown) is provided to accommodate changes in the position of the Scan well 6B.
- An alternative to the displacement sensor is shown in EP-C-275 471. These sensors are well suited to changes in wad thickness in the direction of wad transport scan.
- a conventional card has a working width of approx. 1000 mm - the working width the feed device with roller 6A and trough 6B must be at least the same size. However, they are cards or cards with a larger working width (e.g. 1300 mm, 1500 mm or even 2000 mm) - see e.g. EP-A-866 153.
- a flex-resistant Feed trough 6B is not suitable for unevenness in the thickness of the wad to scan across the working width. If significant changes in wadding thickness are present across the width, the trough 6B "rides" on the thickest zone of the wadding or on a foreign body moving with the cotton wool. This zone is therefore pressed against the roller 6A, but less thick zones become relatively loose calmly.
- the 4 comprises a holder 21, a rigid hollow profile 22 and an arcuate, gap-forming element 24 which is connected to the feed roller 6A (Fig. 3, not shown in Fig. 4) cooperates.
- the bracket 21 is with a Pivot bearing 25 (only indicated schematically) for pivoting about the axis 6D (Fig. 3) Mistake.
- the profile 22 has a projection 23 for receiving a compression spring element (not shown), similar to spring 6C (Fig. 3).
- a displacement sensor (not shown) works with profile 22.
- the news concerns in particular the gap-forming Element 24, which is described below.
- the element 24 is formed in one piece with the profile 22 and extends over the entire length of the profile 22, which corresponds to the working width.
- the elongated element 22 has a "root zone” 26 which protrudes from the profile 22 Projection 28 merges and a free-standing edge 30.
- the thickness "d" of the element the edge 30 is considerably smaller than the thickness "D" in the root zone.
- the thickness "d” is e.g. less than 5 mm (e.g. 2 to 4 mm) while the thickness D is 8 mm or more.
- the cross section of the element 24 is, if possible, above it same length.
- the proportions of the element 24 and the material of this element are chosen in such a way that the element 24 is local (local, limited to the total length) Zone) can deform elastically when in the appropriate local zone the gap between the trough 20 and the roller 6A a particularly thick or dense Fiber group appears, while in other gap zones the fiber mass appears more like one Average value. This effect is shown schematically in FIG. 5.
- Fig. 5 shows the feed roller 6A and a feed trough 30 with a carrier 32 (in the Shape of a rod) and an arcuate, gap-forming element 34.
- Element 34 is attached to the carrier 32 via a leg 36.
- the bracket for the carrier 32 is omitted from FIG. 5 - it can be according to FIG. 3 or FIG. 4 of the present application or e.g. are formed according to EP-C-275 471.
- the cotton wool is also not shown in FIG. 5 for the sake of simplicity. Unless they have a certain Has an average value, there is a corresponding gap width SB (near) the free-standing edge 38 of the element 34. If the fiber mass of the Cotton is evenly distributed over the working width, which results in an essentially uniform Gap width SB over the working width. But if there is a "thick spot" in the cotton is present sooner or later between the element 34 and the roller 6A and there a local (localized) deformation of the element 34 lead, which is exaggerated in Fig. 5 with a "deformation zone" DZ.
- the fiber material thus remains sufficient even outside the deformation zone DZ firmly held between the element 34 and the roller 6A, so that even when present a thick point, the opening roller (not shown in Fig. 5) by an offered Must comb through "fiber beard" and not just tufts of fibers from the weakly held fiber structure can tear out.
- the (thrust) forces in the element 34 (Fig. 5) or 24 (Fig. 4) by the clamped Fiber mass must be generated from the elastic element 34,24 to the carrier 32.22 are forwarded. Because the carrier (against these forces) is a rigid structure represents, the forces generated on the elastic element on the carrier "integrated". The aforementioned sensor (not shown) therefore reacts to that on the wearer generated resultant of all forces generated in the elastic element.
- the invention is but not limited to use in connection with regulation - there is no need for a sensor.
- the new feed trough can thus effectively overlay cotton wool of different thicknesses clamp the entire working width.
- push (at least larger) Foreign objects do not reach the elastic zone.
- a body is e.g. before the elastic edge zone between the element 24 and the feed roller clamped.
- the fact can be detected by another sensor and its output signal can lead to the shutdown of the cotton wool, e.g. by switching off the drive for the Feed roller.
- an alarm can be triggered so that the error from Operating personnel is corrected.
- the elastic edge zone (or edge strip) comprising the free edge can be a small dimension across the working width (length of the profile) i.e. in the direction of transport have, for example 10 to 20 mm, preferably about 14 mm to 16 mm.
- the design of the column between the element 24 and the feed roller 6A can thus be opposite of today's conventional design, namely that at the "mouth" (where the cotton wool enters the gap) is relatively wide e.g. 10 to 20 mm, preferably about 15 mm.
- the gap width at the licker-in (at the free edge of the trough) is relatively small, e.g. 0.1 mm i.e. the minimum necessary to make a touch to avoid the edge with the feed roller 6A.
- the cotton is therefore compressed relatively little between the element 24 and the roller 6A, until it enters the gap between the elastic zone and the roller.
- the Reaction forces exerted on the trough thus largely arise in the elastic zone.
- This also increases the conveying effect emanating from the feed roller 6A also reduced on the cotton wool, at most by additional funding (upstream of the trough) must be compensated. It may turn out to be prove advantageous to provide an entry plate directly in front of the mouth of the column in order to facilitate the insertion of the cotton into the gap.
- the carrier 22 should be formed as a rigid, in particular torsion-resistant element.
- a hollow profile is the ideal form for this, but is not essential for the invention.
- the feed trough can be rotated as a whole about the axis 25 until it against one Stops (not shown).
- the position of the clamping point (at the free edge of the element 24) can be set in relation to the licker-in 32, what for processing various fiber ranges (different staple lengths) from Can be an advantage.
- the invention is also not limited to a variant in which the elastic Element spans the entire working width. There could be several elastic elements to be attached to a common support.
- the preferred variant includes but a continuous casting profile with an elastic formed thereon from one piece Element.
- the elasticity of the gap-forming element can be adjusted by adjusting the material (e.g. Al alloy, cast iron, steel), its thickness and its "width” adapted to the requirements be, the "width” here being the length of the element in the fiber transport direction (i.e. the arc length).
- the material e.g. Al alloy, cast iron, steel
- the width here being the length of the element in the fiber transport direction (i.e. the arc length).
- the one facing the roller 6A Surface should be machined to ensure that it is fibrous and forms the appropriate gap shape together with the roller.
