This ensures that when the first coating liquid is fed via the first feed line 16 to the metering system 13, the collecting container 20 with the first return line 15 for returning excess first coating liquid is also assigned to the outlet 19. It is also ensured that when the second coating liquid is fed via the second feed line 16 'to the metering system 13, the collecting container 20' with the second return line 15 'for the return of excess second coating liquid is also assigned to the outlet 19.
- the circuit protection ensures that there is no confusion that inevitably leads to the mixing of different coating liquids.
- the metering system 14 is provided by a metering roller 22 and the applicator roller 18 formed ( Figure 3).

- each preferably with an outlet 19 are coupled.
- a collection container 25 is arranged downstream of each outlet 19, with a switching valve 26 is functionally connected to the line.
- the switching valve 26 is preferably a 3/2 valve (3-way / 2-switch positions), so that the collecting container 25 can be coupled to the first return line 15 having the suction pump 27 which opens into the reservoir 23 for the first coating liquid or the Order container 25 is with the second return line having the suction pump 28 15 'can be coupled, which in turn is in the reservoir 24 for the second coating liquid empties.
- the dosing system 14 is of course by that Dosing system 13 interchangeable, so that the chamber doctor blade 17 with the outlet 19 Collection container 25 can be assigned.
- the collecting container 25 is like already described, the switching valve 26 downstream, which the return lines 15 or 15 'depending on the coating liquid used.
- the outlet 19 is assigned to Switching valve 26 has a separate circuitry for each switching position Hedging in a preferred manner.
- the switching valve 26 is not on the type of a 3/2 valve. Rather, others are subordinate to the collecting container 25 Switching valves can be used, the activation of the corresponding Ensure return line 15 or 15 '.
- the processes 19, in particular in the case of arrangement on both sides at the end, using a connecting line can be coupled so that only one return line 15 or 15 'for two processes 19th is required.
- the mode of operation is as follows: the reservoir 23 becomes the first coating liquid by means of a feed pump via the first feed line 16 to the metering system 13 or 14 promoted. If the metering system 13 with chamber doctor blade 17 is in use, is a slight excess pressure in the housing chamber (the chamber doctor blade 17) achieved, the coating liquid is applied to the screened application roller 18 Transfer and excess coating liquid is through the first return line 15 conveyed back into the reservoir 23 by the suction pump 27. Should instead of first coating liquid, e.g. Water-based dispersion varnish, the second coating liquid, e.g. UV varnish, that's how it will be Chamber doctor blade 17 decoupled from the first feed line 16 and by a second Chamber doctor blade 17 replaced.
- first coating liquid e.g. Water-based dispersion varnish
- the second coating liquid e.g. UV varnish
- the second doctor blade 17 is connected to the second feed line 16 ' coupled for the second coating liquid.
- the feed lines 16, 16 ' are releasably connected to the doctor blade 17.
- the fall arrest system is created from the first position in which the drain 19 is coupled to the collecting container 20 in the second position shifted so that now the drain 19 with the collecting container 20 ' is coupled (second position, see Fig. 2).
- the change is made in reverse order, so that the chambered doctor blade 17 with the first feed line 16 and the outlet 19 with the collecting container 20 is in turn connectable.
- the changeover processes are circuit-technical, e.g. secured by sensors and a machine control, so that an unwanted mixing and thus an unnecessary consumption of coating liquid is avoidable.
- the first chamber squeegee which is now from the Coating device 2 was removed outside the printing press are cleaned and replaced by the second doctor blade 17.
- the mode of operation is analogous.
- the feed line 16 or 16 'in The nip and the sliding collection system take the first and the second position.
- the sliding collection system takes over the function of Assignment of the corresponding coating liquid to the respective reservoir 23 or 24.
- the switching valve 26 takes over the function of assigning the corresponding coating liquids to the corresponding reservoir 23 or 24.
- the feed line 16 or 16 ' can be coupled to a reservoir for receiving cleaning fluid.
- the cleaning fluid is preferably fed to the feed line 16 or 16 ', which is currently not in use for the metering operation.
- a connecting line is additionally used, which bridges the inactive feed line 16 or 16 'on the line side with the inactive collecting container 20 or 20'. If, for example, the second supply line 16 'for the supply of the second coating liquid with the metering system 13 or 14, the outlet 19 and the collecting container 20' (including the second return line 15 ') is activated, the first supply line 16 is connected in parallel to the collecting container by means of a detachably arranged connecting line 20 (including first return line 15) activated.
- Cleaning fluid is fed into the first feed line 16, which flows via the connecting line into the collecting container 20 and the first return line 15 and ends in the reservoir for cleaning fluid from which the feed line 20 was fed.
- the reservoir for the cleaning fluid is coupled to the supply line 20 and the first return line 15 via switching valves. If it is necessary to change the second coating liquid used to the first coating liquid, the connecting line is connected to the second feed line 16 ′ and the collecting container 20 and the first return line 15 and this circulation system can be cleaned while the first coating liquid is fed in parallel to the metering system 13 or 14 becomes.
- the dosing systems 13, 14 are interchangeable in each coating device 2, 3. Thus, a first chamber doctor blade 17 for the first coating liquid can be replaced by a second chamber doctor blade 17 for the second coating liquid.
- a first or second chamber doctor blade 17 can be replaced by a two-roll mill with application roller 18 and metering roller 22 and vice versa.
- Another advantage is that the inactive circulatory system is bridged by a connecting line between supply line 16 or 16 'and collecting container 20 or 20' (with return lines 15, 15 ') and one circulatory system is cleaned while the other circulatory system fulfills the dosing function.
