Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for hooking a smooth Jacquard loom with cord belonging to a harness.
- the invention also relates to a loom loom equipped with such a device and at a loom equipped with such a smooth.
- each hook of a Jacquard mechanism is associated with an arcade to which several cords, all of these cords constituting the harness of the Jacquard mechanics. In its lower part, each cord is hung on the upper end of a rail which includes a eyelet for passing a chain thread.
- the heddles are generally formed of metal wires. It is known, in particular from FR-A-2 212 891, to bend the end upper of each boom, so as to constitute a loop of passage of the cord, the cord being held in place in this loop thanks to a sheath, possibly heat-shrinkable, or any other appropriate means.
- the wire loop essentially extends in a first plane containing the heddle, while the bead is arranged in a second plane substantially perpendicular to the foreground, so that the sheath which covers the times these two objects undergo significant deformations in two transverse dimensions. If the sheath is not flexible enough, it can tear or extend in these two dimensions to the point that it strikes the sheaths of the adjacent rails.
- the invention relates to a device for hanging a Jacquard type loom heald with a cord belonging to a harness, characterized in that it includes a molded tip at the upper end of said rail, this end piece forming a passage orifice and jamming of the cord in cooperation with a sheath.
- the use of an overmolded end allows defining the dimensions of this nozzle with good precision and a gain of sensitive time compared to a loop folding operation a metal wire.
- the hanging devices thus have the same dimensions, in particular the same transverse dimensions, so that the risks of friction between them sheaths that cover them can be significantly reduced, or even deleted.
- the invention even allows the use of sheaths which are not heat shrinkable as far as the force jamming obtained with the device of the invention and a sheath not retracted may be greater than that of the devices known. This aspect of the invention therefore saves the step of heating the sheath with a view to its deformation around the end of the stringer.
- the tip includes two flexible branches capable of being deform to reduce the apparent diameter of the end piece, in particular under the effect of a force exerted by the sheath.
- the orifice defined between the branches present, in the absence of pinching force exerted on these, a sufficient opening to allow a easy insertion of the cord into this hole when it is put on in place.
- the branches can be close to each other thanks to their character flexible to reduce the apparent diameter of the nozzle in order to minimize the risk of contact or friction between sheaths which cover these ends.
- parts of the endpiece in contact with the cord bear bead retaining or hanging reliefs.
- the end piece includes two branches extending from a common base molded around the end of the arm, these two branches being joined, opposite the base, by a strip of material molded, of thickness less than the width of the branches.
- the cord is naturally arranged around the strip of molded material between the branches, so the thickness of the bead is partially masked by the difference in thickness between the strip and the branches, which helps to give the sheath an appearance overall cylindrical exterior.
- the strip delimits two grooves for receiving the cord above the orifice.
- This aspect of the invention facilitates the placement of the cord in the tip, which allows effective control the apparent transverse dimensions of this and the sheath covering it.
- the strip is bordered by two cheeks with which it forms a guide for the cord, the grooves being defined between these play.
- the guide has a section transversely substantially H-shaped.
- the strip constitutes the crossbar of the H while the cheeks in constitute the vertical bars.
- the end top of the boom is folded in at least one direction substantially perpendicular to its main direction in order to improve the attachment of the end piece to the arm.
- the upper end of the heald is zigzag shaped, which increases its contact surface with the base of the nozzle.
- the invention also relates to a heald loom weave of Jacquard type, characterized in that it comprises a device for hanging on a harness cord as above described. Such a smooth, whose cost is attractive, does not risk coming into contact with the rails adjacent.
- the invention also relates to a loom of the type Jacquard fitted with such heddles.
- a loom of the type Jacquard fitted with such heddles.
- Such a loom can operate at high speed without risk of overheating or premature wear.
- Figure 1 very schematically shows a mechanical Jacquard 2 of a loom. This mechanical controls several arches of which only one 4 has been shown. The lower end of this arch is associated with several cords 6. The set of cords 6 forms the harness of the trade to weave.
- Each cord 6 is hooked at the upper end a smooth 8 for controlling the position of a wire chain 10.
- Each stringer 8 is fixed by its lower part to a spring 12 subject to a fixed anchoring frame 14 by means of a wired element 16.
- a tip 20 is molded onto the upper end 8A of each beam 8. It is noted that the end 8A of the stringer 8 is zigzag-shaped, that is to say in directions generally perpendicular to the main boom direction, in order to improve hooking of the end piece 20. This makes it possible to withstand the tensile forces relatively large that the beam must support.
- the tip 20 comprises a base 20A in which is overmolded the end 8A of the heddle 8 and two branches 20B and 20C joined, opposite the base 20A, by a strip 20D of material molded at the same time as the rest of the end piece 20.
- the branches 20B and 20C define between them a hole 22 inside which can be inserted one of the cord 6.
- the branches 20B and 20C are arched, so that the opening of the orifice 22 is relatively large compared to the dimensions of the cord 6, which facilitates its introduction, possibly by an automaton.
- a sheath 24 is provided to be arranged around the cord 6 and the end piece 20 when the cord 6 has been put in place as shown in Figure 2, the sheath 24 being then moved in the direction of arrow F.
- the sheath 24 can be arranged around the smooth 8, below the end piece 20 in FIG. 2, then slipped around this tip to cover the loop formed by the cord 6 in a direction opposite to that of the arrow F. It is understood that when the sheath 24 is in place at the as shown in Figure 3, the end of the cord 6 is firmly stuck in position.
- the branches 20B and 20C are extended respectively by elements 20E and 20F substantially of the same width l as the branches 20B and 20C.
- the elements 20E and 20F form cheeks arranged on either side of the strip 20D.
- the thickness e of the strip 20D is less than the width l of the branches 20B and 20C and of the elements 20E and 20F.
- the assembly formed of the elements 20D to 20F has a section transversely substantially H-shaped and defines two grooves 26 and 26 'for receiving the cord 6 on either side of the 20D band.
- the cord 6 does not protrude substantially outside tip 20 in a dimension represented by the axis XX 'in Figure 4.
- the strip 20D carries, on each of its lateral faces, 20G pins whose function is to increase the forces of friction of the cord 6 on the strip 20D which constitutes the veil bottom of grooves 26 and 26 '.
- the 20G pins are arranged on each side face of the strip 20D in two rows respectively close to elements 20E and 20F, the pins of each row being inserted between two pins on the other row. This further improves the friction and cord jamming 6.
- the sheath 24 exercises on branches 20B and 20C an effort which tends to decrease the section of the orifice 22 by bringing the branches 20B and 20C, which are flexible, from each other. So when the sheath 24 is in place, the apparent diameter of the end piece 20 is low. In practice, and as shown in Figure 4, it is defined by the radius of curvature of the external surfaces of branches 20B and 20C or elements 20E and 20F.
- a tip 120 is molded at the end upper 108A of a stringer 108 for receiving the lower end of a cord 106 while being capped with a sheath 124.
- the end piece 120 comprises a base 120A extended by a rod 120H at the end of which two branches are provided 120B and 120C connected by a 120D strip.
- the strip 120D has a thickness e less than the width l of the branches 120B and 120C.
- the upper ends of the branches 120B and 120C which are wider than the 120D strip, form shoulders 120E and 120F on either side of this band. These shoulders constitute cheeks between which are defined grooves 126 and 126 'in which may be, at least partially, accommodates the cord 106. This makes it possible to reduce the dimensions transverse of the tip 120 covered with the sheath 124 in the direction XX 'visible in Figure 7.
- the hole 122 in which the cord 106 passes sees its width decrease when installing the sheath 124 because 120B and 120C branches are flexible, which allows them bring together by a pinch force.
- elements 120B to 120D has a cross section generally H-shaped, which allows it to serve as a guide cord 106.
- the tip 120 of this second embodiment is particularly suitable for small diameter cords.
- the nozzle 20 or 120 can be made of any thermo-plastic material suitable for injection. These materials are light and have good mechanical properties of flexibility and resistance shear.
