Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for the combustion of gaseous, liquid as well as medium or low calorific fuels in one burner a swirl generator. Furthermore, the invention relates to a burner for Execution of the procedure.
verwiesen.DE 195 47 913 A1 describes a generic burner for a
Burner systems for a heat generator, as for example from the above can be removed are preferred for gas turbine operation designed. In the field of gas turbine applications in particular Future requirements, in addition to natural gas and heating oil, which are used as fuels for Dual burners are used, also preferably medium or low calorific To use fuels (Mbtu or LBtu fuels) that are as it were conventional Fuels should be burned with low emissions. This Mbtu resp. LBtu fuels, for example as gases from coal or heavy oil gasification come from, have large amounts of hydrogen and carbon monoxide, the The calorific value of MBtu fuels is only about a third - about 15 MJ / kg - of which of natural gas.
Although it is fundamentally possible to add gaseous medium-calorific fuels to the combustion air flow analogously to natural gas through the tangential injection openings, this would result in a very high local pressure loss due to the associated higher volume flow in the swirl generator, which sustainably maintains the flow stability of the air jet flow that forms influenced. Furthermore, the high hydrogen content of the medium-calorific fuel added, which has a high reactivity, would represent a great danger potential for the flame to flash back into the burner. Such irritations in the flow flow lead to an abnormal combustion of the fuels fed in, as a result of which the emission values of the combustion process would deteriorate significantly, for example due to a significant increase in the NO x content in the exhaust gases. Finally, a flashback of the flame into the burner leads to overheating of the burner, as a result of which individual burner components are exposed to strong thermal loads and come close to their thermal load limits.
Even if MBtu fuels were injected close to the burner outlet, the stability of the air swirl flow would not be significantly influenced and the flame would not largely kick back into the burner, but the mixture between MBtu fuel and combustion air would be incomplete due to the short mixing distance, which would result a diffusion-like combustion with extremely high NO x emissions. Although the NO x emissions could be reduced by appropriately high admixture of the medium-calorific fuel with nitrogen or water vapor, such a dilution of the fuel leads to a reduction in the efficiency of the gas turbine system. The same considerations apply to an increasing extent also when using an LBtu fuel.
Verfahren arbeitender erfindungsgemäßer Brenner ist Gegenstand des Anspruchs 6.The solution to the problem on which the invention is based is specified in
Den Erfindungsgedanken vorteilhaft weiterbildende Merkmale sind Gegenstand der Unteransprüche.Features which advantageously further develop the inventive concept are the subject of Subclaims.
The invention is based on the idea of using gaseous fuels, for example Natural gas, liquid fuels such as petroleum, as well as medium or low calorific Fuels, so-called Mbtu resp. LBtu fuels in one burner burn together with a swirl generator by the latter Fuel is injected axially and / or coaxially into the burner or swirl generator. These fuels are preferably injected into the interior of the swirl generator near the liquid fuel injector that is injected in State within the swirl generator or burner the shape of a conical Liquid fuel column. This ensures that in addition to the finely atomized liquid fuel inside the swirl generator injected medium or low calorific fuels sufficiently well this is mixed.
The axial or coaxial injection of the middle resp. low calorific fuel
within the swirl generator leads to a significant change in the burner flow field,
its axial flow share through the additional injection
of the medium calorific fuel is increased and its swirl share in almost
is reduced in the same way. However, a reduction in the amount of swirl leads to
in a known manner, such as from the German cited above
Publication DE 195 47 913 A1, in particular from
In contrast to the dual burner principle described above, the Flow due to its increased axial flow share which is in the backflow zone to blow away the forming backflow bubble, so that on this Way the risk of flashback is significantly reduced.
Since medium or low calorific fuels, as already mentioned in the introduction, high Have proportions of hydrogen and therefore a high reactivity , these fuels still guarantee what is required for combustion Flame stability, since there is a stable flame even without active training forms a backflow zone.
The feed of medium or low calorific fuels upstream in the area of the liquid fuel injector also leads to a good mixing with the injected fuels and the combustion air flow injected into the swirl generator. In this way, the long mixing section leads to premix combustion, which has comparable good NO x emission values that can be achieved with natural gas premix combustion.
You can also add nitrogen or water vapor Reduction of corresponding emission values can be dispensed with. This has in particular the advantage that the deterioration associated with the dilution of Efficiency of the entire gas turbine system is avoided.
The burner according to the invention, which is used to carry out the invention Method is designed as an extension to that described in the above German published patent application DE 195 47 913 A1 described dual burner view and points in addition to the fuel systems according to the invention for natural gas and liquid fuel, a third fuel system for feeding a medium or low calorie fuel in the swirl generator. So it ends preferably near the area of the central injector through which liquid fuel is injected into the interior of the swirl generator through the swirl shells of the swirl generator, through which medium or low calorie Fuel is injected into the interior of the swirl generator. The injection of the middle resp. low-calorific fuel takes place axially and / or coaxially with the injection of the liquid fuel or to the axis of symmetry of the swirl generator.
