Description

  • The invention relates to a device for hydrodynamic entangling for preferably binding-free consolidation of the fibers of a fibrous web made of natural and / or artificial fibers of any kind, consisting
  • a) from a first continuous belt supporting the fiber web, which is guided and deflected tensioned between at least two rollers, and
  • b) an assigned needling drum, which is assigned at least one nozzle bar axially parallel over the working width, and
  • c) at least one further nozzle bar, the water jets of which are directed against the back of an endless belt and through the endless belt against the fiber web, at least for wetting the same.
A device of this type is known from WO 96/23921. She has that Advantage that the voluminous arriving on an endless belt for water needling Fleece between the needling drum and the belt compressed and at the same time is wetted by a first water curtain from the nozzle bar, the Water jets first the endless belt and then the fiber web and finally the Flow through the needling drum. However, the inconsistent one is disadvantageous Compression of the fibrous web on contact with the needling drum because the circular peripheral surface of the needling drum, with one side of the fiber web comes into contact is greater than the corresponding projection length of the Endless belt on the other side of the fiber web. This creates during compaction the fiber web on the drum has a shear stress between the two Surfaces of the fibrous web, which is particularly negative in the case of thicker nonwovens Fleece composition affects.

Another device of this type is disclosed in the earlier patent application 196 27 256.4. After that is
  • d) the first endless belt is assigned a second endless belt, likewise tensioned between at least two rollers, the working belt of which lies opposite the working strand of the first endless belt and rotates in the same direction as that of the first endless belt,
  • e) the two working strands of the two endless belts are conically directed towards one another in their longitudinal extent, so that the fiber web lying on the working strand of the first endless belt is increasingly compressed between the leading endless belts.
  • There too, a nozzle bar for wetting the fibrous web is directed against the endless belt, whereby the fibrous web compressed between the two endless belts is first wetted on the transfer drum before needling.

The device according to the older patent application has the advantage that the bulky leading fiber web between the two endless belts slowly increasing and compressed with even pressure from above and below without shear stress and only when it is firmly held between the two endless belts, is wetted.

Starting from the device according to WO-OS, the invention is based on the object to find a first needling unit in which not only the advantages of Device according to the older patent application are retained, but still one stronger compaction of the fleece before the first wetting of the fiber web is possible. A stronger compression or more correctly, a better hold of the fibers of the fiber web when netting would z. B. prevent blurring of individual fibers and ultimately lead to a better nonwoven product.

  • To achieve the object, the invention provides that
  • d) the first endless belt is assigned a second endless belt, likewise tensioned between at least two rollers, the working strand of which lies opposite the working strand of the first endless belt and rotates in the same direction as that of the first endless belt,
  • e) the two working strands of the two endless belts are oriented conically towards one another in their longitudinal extent, so that the fiber web lying on the working strand of the first endless belt is increasingly compressed between the leading endless belts,
  • f) the second endless belt is pressed by two rollers against a deflecting roller of the first endless belt for stronger wrapping of the deflecting roller by both endless belts and
  • g) between these two rollers of the nozzle bar for wetting the fiber web is directed against the fiber web, which is kept compressed between the two endless belts.
With this device, the mentioned advantageous features of the device the older patent application followed up and supplemented by the fact that the between the two endless belts of pressed fiber web when wetting through two rollers firmly pressed against the deflecting roller of one of the two endless belts becomes. This means that in different embodiments, a roller of first or the second endless belt can be the deflecting roller.

The two rollers that press the two endless belts against the deflection roller and between which the wetting bar is arranged should be arranged close together and be assigned directly to the deflection roller. In this way the contact pressure of the endless belts to the deflection roller the strongest.

While maintaining this principle, there are now different exemplary embodiments conceivable. The deflection roller can simultaneously be the needling drum or a of the two pressure rollers can be a takeover drum, which is then also the same as a needling drum can be formed. In particular, refer to the description of the figures directed.

    Fig. 1

    Fig. 3
A device of the type according to the invention is shown as an example in the drawing. It shows:
    Fig. 1
in the side view of a larger system a first needling device, in which a deflecting roller of the first endless belt is designed as a wetting drum and at the same time as a needling drum.
    Fig. 2
1, in which the deflecting roller of the first endless belt is used only for wetting the fiber web, while the needling is carried out on a subsequent deflecting roller of the second endless belt designed as a takeover roller, and
    Fig. 3
1, in which, however, both the wetting and the needling are carried out on the takeover roller of the second endless belt.

In a frame 1 is a water needling unit with only one needling drum 2 shown. This unit is usually the first unit of a larger one Water needling system, in which there are several more needling drums, which are wrapped in a meandering shape and with which the fibrous web processed on both sides, can join.

Basically, this unit consists of a first endless belt 3, which has several Rollers 2, 5 rotatably arranged in a holding frame 4 are deflected and tensioned is held. A needle to be needled runs on this endless belt in the direction of arrow 6 initially more voluminous fibrous web 7. It can also be a fibrous web that initially has no strength and thus directly from a card, not shown is placed on the endless belt 3. The roller 2 is in this embodiment designed as the needling drum. This means that they are in diameter is larger and designed as a permeable drum, which at least at the water contact points under suction (arrows 8) is set.

The first endless belt 3 is assigned a second endless belt 9 in opposite directions, that the working strand 3 'of the first endless belt 3 is the working strand 9' of the second Endless belt opposite, there run the runs 3 ', 9' in the same direction and taper towards each other in this area. This is again through several Rolls 10 - 12 of the endless belt 9 causes the on the frame 1 attached support frame 13 are rotatably mounted.

Two of the rollers of the second endless belt 9, namely the rollers 11 and 12, are the Deflection roller 2 of the first endless belt 3, which is designed as a needling drum is directly assigned. This means that the rollers 11 and 12 are guided under tension Endless belt 9 against the endless belt 3 and then against the deflection roller 2 press. For this purpose, they are arranged close together and can only be between them so much space that the nozzle bar 14 are advanced to the endless belt 9 can. In this way, the delivered and from the strand 3 'of the endless belt 3rd the fiber web carried forward not only slowly compressed between the endless belts 3 and 9, but pressed on the deflection roller 2. in this state the fiber web 7 wet by means of the water bar 14 and can then be further needled.

In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1, this takes place immediately on this deflection roller 2, by the endless belt 9 is removed by means of the roller 12, thus the Top of the fiber web 7 is freed from the endless belt 9. The deflection roller 2 are then two needling nozzle bars 15, 16 in the outlet area of the drum Assigned axially parallel, which ensure the first interweaving of the fibers. supports from the endless belt 3, the fiber web is then transported and to the further treatment organ 17 passed on and thus released from the endless belt 3.

The same principle is maintained if the in the embodiment of FIG Roller 12 of the second endless belt 9 as a takeover roller 12 'and at the same time as Needling drum is formed. Accordingly, nozzle bars 15 'and 16' are here the larger and permeable takeover roller 12 'of the endless belt 9 assigned. in this embodiment, the wetting by means of the bar 14 and the first needling by means of the nozzle bars 15 ', 16' on different Areas of the fibrous web are carried out.

A further example according to FIG. 3 is also conceivable, in which the first, the Endless belt 3 carrying fibrous web 7 through two close together, but at a distance rollers 11 "and 12" arranged to receive the bar 14 'initially the first Endless belt 3, then the fibrous web 7 and then the second endless belt 9 to the deflection roller Press 2 'of the second endless belt 9, the deflecting roller 2' also here, as in the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2, the deflecting roller 12 'again as a needling drum is formed, which is why the nozzle bars 15 'and 16' of this drum assigned. In this embodiment, the wetting by means of Bar 14 'and the first needling by means of the nozzle bars 15', 16 'on the same Surface of the fibrous web 7, similar to that carried out in the example of FIG. 1.

      g) the nozzle bar (14') between these two rollers (11", 12"), for wetting the fibrous web (7), is directed towards the fibrous web (7), which is retained in a compressed manner between the two endless belts (3, 9).
    3. Apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the two rollers (11, 12; 11', 12'; 11", 12") are disposed close to each other, having consideration for the space required for the nozzle bar (14, 14'), and are directly associated with the guide roller (2, 2') of the first or second endless belt (3, 9).
    4. Apparatus according to claim 1, 2 or 3, characterised in that the guide roller (2, 2', 12') is in the form of a needling drum.
    5. Apparatus according to claim 4, characterised in that the guide roller (2, 2', 12') is in the form of a fluid-permeable perforated drum with a diameter greater than that of the rollers (5, 10 - 12).
    6. Apparatus according to claim 4 or 5, characterised in that at least one nozzle bar (15, 16; 15', 16') is associated with the trailing circumferential region of the guide roller (2, 12', 2'), which also has the first or second endless belt (3, 9) looped therearound, for hydraulic needling purposes.
    7. Apparatus according to claim 6, characterised in that the guide roller (12', 2'), which also has the second endless belt (9) looped therearound, is in the form of a fibrous web transfer roller.
    8. Apparatus according to claim 6, characterised in that the second of the two rollers (12'), which are associated with the guide roller (2), is in the form of a fibrous web transfer roller.
    9. Apparatus according to claim 7 or 8, characterised in that the transfer roller (12', 2') is in the form of a needling drum, that is to say a fluid-permeable perforated drum with a diameter greater than that of the rollers (5, 10), and at least one nozzle bar (15', 16') is associated with the transfer roller (12', 2'), which also has the second endless belt (9) looped therearound, for hydraulic needling purposes.
