Definitions
- the invention relates to a flat knitting machine with needle beds, needles lying in needle channels of the needle beds and at least one knitting lock which can be moved over the needle beds and which has lock parts for driving out and removing the needles for transferring stitches.
- the stitch closes and the stitch slips over it and the needle head.
- the stitch to be transferred is then in the hook of the accepting needle, so that the transfer process is completed.
- the taking needle Since the taking needle is also driven out and its tongue is open, the taking needle would also form a stitch due to the connected nut and thus the thread present when it is pulled off, but this must be prevented.
- the lock slide for the stitch-dividing process is equipped with an additional stitch-dividing lock part.
- the stitch dividing lock part is arranged in the knitting lock with respect to the carriage running direction at a point before the thread is inserted into the needle and causes the taking needle to be withdrawn before the thread from the connected thread nut into the area of the taking needle is coming. This prevents the thread from being inserted into the receiving needle.
- the lock parts have to be converted if the stitch division process is to be carried out.
- the machine must be switched off, the knitting lock removed and the stitch dividing lock parts must be fastened by hand by the operator in the knitting lock.
- the machine has to be stopped again, the lock has to be removed and the stitch division lock parts have to be removed again these result in restrictions in the knitting process during normal knitting.
- the object of the invention is to create a flat knitting machine which does not have to be converted before and after stitch dividing operations.
- the knitted lock has at least one switchable lock part for the stitch dividing. Due to the switchability of the stitch dividing lock part, it is possible at any time to put it into and out of function without the machine having to be switched off and conversion measures having to be carried out. This results in a significantly higher productivity of the flat knitting machine.
- the stitch-dividing lock part can be switched on for pulling out a taking needle before the thread comes into the area of the taking needle.
- the at least one switchable stitch-dividing lock part is therefore preferably arranged at a position with respect to the direction of slide movement that lies in front of the thread insertion area of the lock slide.
- the stitch division lock part has a needle foot part and preferably additionally a sinker foot part. The latter enables the plate associated with the receiving needle to be pulled off simultaneously, so that it does not interfere with the further knitting process.
- the knitting lock preferably has two stitch-dividing lock parts which are arranged at the same distance from the knitting lock symmetry plane with respect to the direction of slide travel.
- mesh parts-lock parts are in effective in both directions.
- stitch dividing lock parts are provided both on the front and on the rear knitting lock.
- the at least one stitch division lock part can preferably be switched by means of a switching magnet.
- the switching magnet preferably a bistable switching magnet with two switching positions, is advantageously arranged on the knitting lock.
- a control cam element is preferably provided which can be displaced in the direction of the needle movement by the switching magnet on the side of the knitting lock facing away from the needle bed.
- a control curve is provided which shifts the stitch division lock part perpendicular to the lock plate by means of a pin resting on the control curve when the switching magnet is switched.
- the stitch division lock part is preferably guided by means of a guide pin which moves in a guide body.
- the guide body is preferably attached on the side of the lock plate facing away from the needle bed.
- FIG. 1 shows a schematic illustration of a knitted lock with lock parts
- FIG. 2 shows a schematic cross section through the needle bed with an illustration of a needle and the front part of a plate in association with the knitted lock according to FIG. 1
- Fig. 3 shows a cross section through the knitting lock along the section line III-drawn in Fig. 1 in sch atic and enlarged representation with the stitch dividing lock switched in function - and part
- FIG. 4 shows the representation shown in FIG. 3, in which the stitch-dividing lock part is in its inactive, switched-off position.
- FIG. 1 shows a conventional knitting lock without needle selection parts, with a needle and the front part of an associated needle plate with a front needle foot 2 being shown in association with this in FIG. 2.
- the arrow 1 indicates the direction of the slide, namely from right to left in the plane of the drawing.
- the stitch-dividing lock part 8 causes the taking stitch to be withdrawn again shortly after the greatest expulsion height has been reached, as shown by the course of the needle 12 in FIG. 1. In this way, the taking needle is already so far withdrawn at the time when it reaches the thread 9 that it is no longer possible to catch the thread.
- the stitch-dividing lock part 8 it is therefore reliably ensured that when the stitch is divided, that is, if the giving needle is to form a stitch and therefore the nut 10 is switched on, no stitch is formed by the taking needle.
- the stitch-dividing lock part 8 is switched off, so that the needles in the
- the stitch dividing lock portion 8 has a spherical portion 14 which is synchronous with the stitch dividing lock portion 8 for the taking needle is switched.
- Fig. 3 shows a cross section through the knitting lock along the section line III-III drawn in Fig. 1 on an enlarged scale.
- a lock plate 31 facing away from the needle bed there is a switching magnet 32 which is rigidly connected via a connecting member 33 to a control cam element 34 in which a control cam 35 is milled in the form shown.
- a control cam 35 is milled in the form shown.
- Control pin 36 which projects laterally from an actuating element 37 and in turn is firmly connected to a machine part lock part 38.
- a guide pin 39 protrudes on the side of the lock plate 31 facing away from the needle bed and is guided in a guide body 40.
- the stitch-dividing lock part 38 has a needle foot part 8 and a sinker foot part 14 which, when the stitch-dividing lock part 38 is switched on, protrude from it on the side of the lock plate 31 facing the needle bed and are provided for controlling the needle or sinker feet.
- FIG. 3 The arrangement shown in FIG. 3 is shown in FIG. 4, but with the mesh dividing lock part 38 switched off.
- the switching magnet 32 is actuated so that it moves the connecting member 33 and the control cam element 34 rigidly connected to it away from itself , in the drawing plane from right to left. Due to the curve shape of the control cam 35 in the control cam element 34, the control cam pin 36 movably arranged in the control cam 35 with the actuating element 37 carrying it is displaced perpendicularly to the lock plate 31 in the direction thereof so that the control cam element 34 and the control cam pin move 36 are then in the position shown in Fig. 3.
- the actuating element 37 is rigidly connected to the stitch-dividing lock part 38, this is shifted towards the lock plate 31 so that the needle foot part 8 and the plate foot part 14 protrude on the side of the lock plate 31 facing the needle bed and into their active position ge ⁇ to be able to pull the needle or sinker feet and thus the receiving needle and the sinker of the receiving needle.
- the invention was previously explained with reference to a preferred exemplary embodiment. However, numerous configurations and modifications are possible for the person skilled in the art without departing from the inventive concept. For example, it is possible to attach the stitch-dividing lock part 38 at another location, for example in the area of the front needle foot in the lock part.
- the device for switching the stitch dividing lock part is only one of several conceivable embodiments.
