Claims (8)

  1. Moyen de protection dans le cas de collision pour véhicules munis de dispositifs élévateurs à fourches, tels que des chariots élévateurs à fourches,
    caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend une protection frontale (1) à laquelle sont fixés deux tunnels à fourches parallèles ou des poutres formant une cage (4) ("box girders"), les fourches étant destinées à être insérées à l'intérieur desdits tunnels ou desdites poutres, lesdits tunnels à fourches/poutres formant une cage (4) étant muni(e)s de moyen de verrouillage (6, 7, 15) pour le verrouillage de la protection et les tunnels à fourches au niveau des fourches lorsqu'une charge est levée sur lesdites fourches (« thereon »), et pour le déverrouillage lorsque la charge a été placée sur le sol ou le plancher.
  2. Moyen de protection selon la revendication 1,
    caractérisé en ce que la protection comprend une partie centrale ou plaque frontale (1) et deux parties latérales pliables (3).
  3. Moyen de protection selon les revendications 1 - 2,
    caractérisé en ce que la protection est latéralement ajustable, et sous la forme de plusieurs plaques (1) frontales mutuellement remplaçables et aptes à être verrouillées.
  4. Moyen de protection selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes,
    caractérisé en ce que le moyen de verrouillage comprend un bras (6) mis en tension par un ressort (9), l'extrémité externe de celui-ci étant conçue pour être rétractée (« to be pushed in ») ensemble avec le ressort (9) lorsque la charge est placée sur le sol.
  5. Moyen de protection selon la revendication 4,
    caractérisé en ce que l'autre extrémité du bras (6) est connectée à un dispositif de verrouillage (15) destiné, lorsque la fourche s'est retirée, à effectuer le verrouillage lorsque le bras externe et le ressort (9) ne sont pas mis en tension.
  6. Moyen de protection selon la revendication 5,
    caractérisé en ce que le dispositif de verrouillage (15) est fixé à un second bras (7), connecté au premier bras (6) à son extrémité interne.
  7. Moyen de protection selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes,
    caractérisé en ce que le ressort (9), lorsqu'il n'est pas comprimé, est disposé de manière à influencer le dispositif de verrouillage (15) pour effectuer le verrouillage.
  8. Protection selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisée en ce que les tunnels à fourches (4) sont latéralement ajustables.
