Description

The invention relates to a closure in the preamble of the type mentioned for a bottle or the like.

Die Dichtfläche zur Anlage an der Stirnkante eines Flaschenhalses befindet sich auf der dem Boden des kappenförmigen Verschlusses abgewandten Seite der Dichtung, wobei die Dichtung entlang ihrem äußeren Rand einen dem Boden des Verschlußteils abgewandten Vorsprung aufweist, der den Hals einer Flasche außen in Axialrichtung umgreift.DE 42 34 010 A1 is a closure for a bottle or the like, which is a cap-shaped closure part has an inward on its edge directed projection for reaching behind an outward directed projection on a neck of a bottle or the like and inside one in the area of the front edge Bottle neck has a sealing surface. This is located arranged on one on the bottom region of the closure part Seal on their the bottom of the cap-shaped Closure part facing side has a recess, which differs from a radial area on the inside of the contact surface the seal of an end face of a neck Bottle extends radially outwards. The sealing surface for There is a system on the front edge of a bottle neck on the side facing away from the bottom of the cap-shaped closure Side of the seal, the seal being along its outer edge facing away from the bottom of the closure part Has projection that the neck of a bottle outside in the axial direction embraces.

The recess in the seal on the bottom of the Closure part facing side allows lifting the Seal from the face of a neck of a bottle Overpressure, so that a pressure relief takes place and a Avoid bursting a bottle. Outside the recess can't lift the seal, and there the material of the seal is volume compressible these areas of the seal a stop for the Closure, which is particularly the case with a screw closure is of particular importance. This results in defined ones Pressure forces in the area of the seal, in the the recess is located. So that is the pressure at which is the seal in the area of the recess Bottle neck lifts up, precisely defined, independently on the size of the screwing force. Movements of the Bottom area of the cap-shaped closure through Bulge as a result of pressure increases will not used this closure.

To the impact of the seal on this to improve known closure, its seal an annular area where there is no compression the seal can be done. This ring-shaped The area is of course in the area of the front edge of a bottle neck. Because this area is radial is very small, difficulties arise in practice to ensure that the annular area rests on the bottle neck. Through this ring-shaped The area of impact is only very much small, in which the seal rests and in case of overpressure can take off. This results in sealing problems in practice.

Ein Entweichen von Überdruck im verschlossenen Zustand ist nicht möglich.EP-A-0 581 568 is a screw closure known from plastic, which has a screw cap, inside which a seal is arranged, which is when screwed on both on the end face a bottle opening to be closed, as well the outer surface of the bottle neck in the area of the Front edge. This arrangement is intended to achieve be that when you open the bottle internal pressure from the Bottle can escape before the threads turn out Intervention come. This is said to be an explosive Flying screw caps can be avoided when opening. An escape of excess pressure in the closed Condition is not possible.

FR-A-546399 is a crown closure for one Bottle known, which has a cap made of sheet metal, in the inside of which is arranged a seal, the one Labyrinth seal represents a high level of sealing to achieve. Overpressure can arise from one with this Do not escape the crown closure of the sealed bottle.

The invention has for its object a closure of the type mentioned in the preamble of the claim create the disadvantages of the known closure are avoided, in particular the sealing effect with larger tolerances of the width of the front edge of a bottle neck and the radial position of the same is improved.

The object underlying the invention is achieved by solved the teaching specified in the characterizing part of the claim.

The basic idea of this teaching is based on the Seal an oblique, essentially conical sealing surface part to create the at least part of the sealing surface forms and centering the seal and improvement the sealing effect. This results from that the sloping surface on the outer boundary of the front edge a bottle neck comes to the plant and there one increased surface pressure is caused. This squeeze will reduced or canceled if the floor is under pressure of the closure part bulges outwards, causing the Effect of a pressure relief valve results.

It is also appropriate that the sealing surface part over the outer boundary of the end face of a bottle neck extends beyond, by dimensioning the radial Supernatant the blowdown pressure can be influenced. Smaller Supernatant results in a smaller, larger supernatant a larger blow-off pressure.

The inclination of the sealing surface part is expedient chosen so that its movement from the edge of a bottle neck away with curvature of the bottom of the cap-shaped closure part is greatest when the pressure is increased. By the degree of inclination the pressure can also be suitably influenced, if it is exceeded, the sealing effect is reduced becomes or disappears completely and thus the blowing off of Overpressure occurs.

The radial expansion of the inclined sealing surface part expediently extends at least over the tolerance range the radially outer boundary of the end face a neck of a bottle. This is the function of the inclined sealing surface part with all occurring radial Dimensions of the outer boundary of the end face of the bottle necks of bottles to be closed with the closure.

The sealing surface part and the projection are expedient on one in the bottom of the cap-shaped closure part arranged seal provided. The material of this Seal can then be independent of that of the cap-shaped Closure chosen and thus adapted to the sealing conditions become.

When using such a separate seal it is advisable that this on the side facing the floor has at least one recess, which extends from a radial region inside of the face of a neck one Bottle extends radially outward. It is advisable that the recess extends into the outer surface of the projection extends. The seal is in the area of the recess compliant, so that they dodge under pressure and the Blow-off process can support at overpressure.

The half shown in Fig. 1 and cut Closure shows a cap-shaped closure part 1, the Edge 2 is only partially shown and in the not shown Part of an inward projection, for example a pinch of a crown cap or a Thread of a metal or plastic screw cap, for reaching behind an outward projection a neck of a bottle. Opposite a floor 3 of the closure part 1, a seal 4 is arranged, the a sealing surface 5 for contacting the front edge of a bottle neck having.

The seal 4 has one along its outer edge projection 6 facing away from the bottom 3 of the closure part 1 on which, when screwed on, the outer edge of a Around the neck of a bottle. The projection 6 has one small extension 7 on the inside of a complementary groove engages in the edge 2 of the closure part 1, so that the Seal 4 captively connected to the closure part 1 is.

The sealing surface 5 has a radial inner surface of the projection 6 on a sealing surface part 8. This runs inclined away from the projection 6. This oblique, ie conical sealing surface part 8 of the projection 6 lies firmly on the outer edge when screwed on the face of a bottle neck and ensures a good seal. Bulging when the pressure in the bottle increases the bottom 3 faces outwards, causing the edge 2 in the area of the sealing surface part 8 upwards approximately vertically moved to itself away from the front edge of the bottle and so the sealing effect is reduced or canceled, so that overpressure can escape. The degree of inclination of the sealing surface part 8 also determines with the opening pressure of the by the Closure formed relief valve.

On the sealing surface 5 and the oblique sealing surface part 8 facing away from the bottom 3 of the closure part 1 facing side, the seal has 4 narrow, radial channels 9 on. In the area of these channels 9, the seal 4 dodge to the bottom 3 of the closure part 1 when in the associated bottle has a sufficiently high pressure.

A pressure relief valve is thus formed overall can be dimensioned so that bursting of a bottle is avoided is.

Extend in the illustrated embodiment the channels 9 extend into the outer surface of the projection 6, so that the material can also avoid the projection 6, essentially radially outwards, if one is appropriate there is high pressure.

Fig. 2 zeigt nur einen Teil der Dichtung gemäß Fig. 1, und zwar in der Zeichnung von Fig. 1 von oben, also vom Boden 3 des Verschlußteils 1 her. Auf diese Weise ist die Größe und der Verlauf der Kanäle deutlich sichtbar.FIG. 2 shows only part of the seal according to FIG. 1, in the drawing of Fig. 1 from above, that is, from the bottom 3 of the closure part 1 ago. In this way, the size and the course of the channels clearly visible.
