Definitions
- the invention relates to a headlight for vehicles with a cup-shaped Housing, which has a circumferential receiving bed at its front edge has, with a translucent lens, which with their outer circumferential foot is inserted into the receiving bed, with a Aperture, which is arranged inside the headlight and partially with Retaining tabs is inserted into the receiving bed, and with one in it Adhesive bed introduced sealing compound.
- a pot-shaped housing made of plastic takes one bowl-shaped reflector with a light source and has on his a peripheral U-shaped receiving bed. In the bed is both a frame-like panel with retaining tabs also a translucent lens with its outer circumferential Foot inserted. Between the housing and the lens serves for Sealing a sealing compound placed in the receiving bed.
- glue or the sealant consists of a permanently viscous material.
- the holding tabs of the Aperture are rectangular and grip with their free leg, which transversely to the direction of joining of the lens and the panel is directed into a recess in the bottom of the receiving bed and fill in the recess.
- the depression extends from the inner to the to the outer side wall of the bed.
- the other leg of the angular retaining tab engages in a recess in the inner side wall of the receiving bed and serves as an inner in the area of the recess Side wall of the bed.
- the retaining tabs of the panel can be the recesses of the bed seal the housing tightly only if the tolerances for the cover and housing are chosen very closely. In the case of very narrow tolerances, however Manufacture of the bezel and housing costly and threading the retaining tabs of the panel into the recesses in the bed of the Housing awkward and time consuming. It is also disadvantageous that the Indentation and the legs of the retaining tabs inserted into the indentation run across the entire width of the bed. Since the Sealant after installing the panel in the receiving bed must be introduced, the sealant seals in the area of Retaining tabs only to the inside of the outer side wall of the From the bed. In practice it has been found that the area is too small on the inside of the outer side wall and therefore water through Capillary action get under the retaining tabs and then into the Headlights can penetrate.
- the object of the invention is that described in the preamble of claim 1 To design headlights for vehicles such that after putting on the Aperture on the housing of both a liquid used during assembly Sealant even with large tolerances between cover and housing can not emerge from the side of the bed as well as for the foot of the Cover disc and the sealant all around a constant wide bed can exist.
- the sealant is mostly when placed in the receiving bed thin.
- An adhesive or a permanent sealant can be used viscous material can be used.
- the retaining tabs on the bezel can with great play in the bulges of the bed of the Insert the housing and thus threading the retaining tabs the bezel in the bulges of the receiving bed of the housing slightly and quickly feasible and the manufacture of bezel and housing because the large possible tolerances inexpensively.
- the bulges in the inner side wall of the Recording bed are introduced. This allows the course of the Diffuser base on the outer edge be continuous and the outer Side wall of the bed does not have any annoying edges and corners exhibit.
- the seal between the housing and the lens is in the area Retaining tabs of the bezel securely when the bezel retaining tabs fit into one Depression of the bottom of the receiving bed are used, the Retaining tabs in the recess starting from a side wall of the Cot does not extend further than below the bed extend immersed foot end of the lens, as the Sealant not only towards the inside of the outer side wall seals, but also to a portion of the bottom of the receiving bed there.
- the cover is until the sealant is applied and until it is put on the lens on the housing held securely in its target position, if the recesses in the bottom of the receiving bed in a tight pocket pass into which the panel with a running in the joining direction End portion of their retaining tabs is inserted.
- the free leg With a Z-shaped retaining tab, the free leg is in the pocket inserted end section, while the other leg of the Z-shape the Aperture carries and is inserted into the bulge and the two Leg connecting web of the Z shape in the recess of the bottom of the Intervening bed intervenes.
- the screen can be made in one piece with a bowl-shaped reflector be carried out and carry the reflector over their retaining tabs.
- the headlight for vehicles has a plastic one pot-shaped housing (1) into which a bowl-shaped reflector (16) is inserted.
- the housing (1) is with at its front peripheral edge a receiving bed (2) with a U-shaped cross section.
- a receiving bed (2) with a U-shaped cross section.
- the receiving bed (2) is a panel (5) and one in the joining direction (8) Cover disc (3) inserted.
- a sealant (7) introduced for sealing.
- the introduction of the sealant (7) in the receiving bed (2) takes place in a liquid state.
- the Sealant (7) can be a curable adhesive or a permanently viscous material, which is only used when inserting into the receiving bed (2) and is fluid until it cools down.
- the end plate (3) can be placed on the housing (1) by Locking means (not shown) held in their target position to the housing (1) become.
- C-shaped springs can serve as locking means both the front edge of the housing (1) and the lens reach behind her foot (4).
- the C-shaped spring presses an outer one Edge section (17) of the foot (4) against an outer side wall (18) of the Extra bed (2).
- the cover (5) engages with several holding straps (6) in the receiving bed (2) of the housing (1) and runs between in the headlight interior Reflector (16) and a side wall portion of the cover plate (3).
- the aperture (5) can surround the reflector (16) like a frame or on one adjoin one or more sides of the reflector (16).
- the retaining tabs (6) point in the joining direction (8) and are with their free end section (14) inserted into pockets (13).
- the pockets (13) are in the bottom of the receiving bed (2) and have a rectangular shape Cross section on. The pockets (13) lie below the in the receiving bed (2) immersed foot end (12) of the lens (3).
- the Bags (13) have on their edge adjacent to the headlight interior Thrust slope (15) through which the free end portion (14) of Retaining tabs (6) can be threaded easily and quickly into the pockets (13).
- the Pockets (13) face the one opposite the run-up slope (15) Inside a projection (24) which the free end portion (14) Retaining tabs (6) clamps.
- the pocket (13) goes into one Bottom of the receiving bed (2) introduced depression (11), which are starting from the pocket (13) to the inner side wall (10) of the Includes the receiving bed (2) and one transverse to the joining direction (8) extending middle section (19) of the retaining tabs (6).
- the middle section (19) borders in the joining direction (8) and to the Aperture (5) molded section (20) of the retaining tabs (6).
- the molded one Section (20) fills a bulge (9) of the inner side wall (10) of the Bed (2).
- the bulge (9) is transverse to the joining direction (8) and towards the interior of the headlight into the inner side wall (10) of the Recording bed (2) introduced.
- the inner side wall (10) of the Recording bed (2) and the adjacent to the inner side wall (10) lateral wall section (21) of the housing (1) are flush with one another.
- the wall section (21) also has a bulge (22) Headlights inside.
- the panel (5) and cover plate (3) are installed in the following Steps.
- the lens (2) is with its foot (4) immerse in the receiving bed (2) until the edge portion (17) of the Foot (4) bears on the outer side wall (18) of the receiving bed (2).
- the C-shaped springs (not shown) are closed in a last step Mount around the cover plate (3) in its target position towards the housing (1) to keep.
