Definitions

  • the invention relates to a drill head according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Drill heads which are intended for screwing with boring bars, injection drill anchors or the like are known in a variety of forms. They are equipped with at least one flushing opening, which serves to guide a flushing medium in the drilling phase and which, in the case of injection drilling anchors, also guides a hardenable medium, e.g. can serve as a mortar suspension.
  • the drill bit protrudes radially beyond the remaining part of the drill head, usually a pipe extension, so that an annular ring is available between the inner walls of a drilled hole and the outer walls of the drill rod, within which e.g. a flushing medium can flow.
  • the essential feature of these known drill heads is a drill bit characterized by special cutting bodies, the cutting bodies often consisting of a hard metal and being soldered into special recesses in the drill bit.
  • the drill bit as such is often formed by a radially widened part of the said tube extension, the cutting bodies projecting radially and / or axially from this part.
  • the service life of such drill heads is, among other things influenced by the cooling effect of a flushing medium, with the wear on the places that are subject to an increased temperature during operation.
  • a flow of the flushing medium that is as undisturbed as possible and uniformly grips the cutting elements is therefore essential not only for a rapid washing away of loosened rock particles but also for cooling the highly stressed parts of the drill bit.
  • the cutting edge geometry must also be designed with this flushing process in mind. An insufficient drainage would noticeably reduce drilling performance.
  • the parts of the drill bit that are actively involved in the drilling process are formed by an arrow-shaped arrangement, which is in each case formed from three, generally linear components.
  • the components can be formed, for example, directly by cutting bodies, but also by warts or other cutting elements, usually made of hard metal, which are soldered to a carrier component.
  • the carrier components equipped with the said warts and the cutting bodies mentioned are fundamentally interchangeable, so that mixing systems are also conceivable in which carrier components partly equipped with warts and partly cutting bodies are provided, provided that the arrow structure mentioned at the outset, consisting of three components, is maintained remains.
  • the Pipe attachment is, for example, part of a sleeve coupling, a pipe coupling or the like, namely a component which is at least provided with an internal thread which is intended for screwing with facing boring bar ends in order to extend a boring bar.
  • the pipe attachment generally requires no further preparation in order to be used in this context in the context of a drill head. This brings with it a significant simplification of manufacture, namely insofar as use is made of components for the manufacture of the drill head which are in any case necessary for the manufacture of an extendable drill rod.
  • the partial arrangement of the cutting bodies or the other cutting elements entails uniform detection of the entire drilling cross section, but a simple geometry and thus unimpeded outflow conditions and thus a good cooling effect are ensured.
  • At least one cutting body or a partial arrangement of the said warts is arranged at an angle to the plane containing the end face of the tube extension.
  • This arrangement is designed in such a way that the tip of the named cutting body or the radially innermost wart of the partial arrangement mentioned is arranged in the region of the axis of the pipe attachment, in such a way that this tip protrudes - as seen in the drilling direction.
  • the remaining Cutting body and sub-arrangements extend parallel to the plane mentioned.
  • the cutting bodies are made of the same material as the pipe socket and are made of steel, only the area of the drill bit, namely the cutting body, being subjected to a conventional hardening process.
  • a drill head can be used, for example, with injection drill anchors, and thus as a one-way drill head.
  • the cutting bodies consist of a hard metal and this embodiment can also be used as a reusable drilling head in general boring bars.
  • cutouts made at the end of the tube attachment according to the features of claim 7 can be produced in the simplest way and only serve as an assembly aid for the attachment of the cutting bodies.
  • the features of claim 8 are directed to a particularly simple embodiment of the drill bit. According to this, this consists of rod-shaped cutting bodies which have a square or triangular shape in cross-section, with an edge of the cross-sectional shape of at least a part of the cutting bodies being oriented in the drilling direction.
  • the at least one flushing arrangement is arranged in a region which is at least adjacent to the axis of the tube attachment.
  • a tip of a cutting body or the radially innermost wart or another cutting element is in any case also effective in the central region of the borehole cross section, so that the formation of blockages in the region of the flushing opening is effectively countered and at the same time an effective cooling effect is ensured.

  • Fig. 2 is a side view of the drill head according to arrow II of Fig. 1;
  • FIG. 3 shows an end view of the drilling head according to arrow III of FIG. 1.
  • the drilling head according to the invention essentially consists of a tube attachment 1 serving to couple to a drilling or anchor rod and an arrangement of cutting bodies 3 which form the actual core bits 2.
  • the tube extension 1 is formed by a comparatively thick-walled tube element which carries a thread-like deformation on the inside and outside.
  • This tubular element is preferably produced in a cold forming process, a corresponding profile being formed by rolling a thread-like profile on the outside as a result of a free internal deformation on the inside, which profile is similar to a round thread in the exemplary embodiment shown.
  • This round or internal thread 4 is used for screwing to the external thread of the facing end of a drill or anchor rod, so that the drill head according to the invention is detachably arranged.
  • the radially outermost edges of the cutting body 3 forming the drill bit 2 are located on a circle with the diameter 6 which is concentric to the axis 5 of the pipe extension 1 and which is larger than that of the pipe extension 1 and of the drilling or screwing screwable with it Anchor rod sections.
  • the exemplary embodiment shows three distinguishable individual cutting bodies 3, 3 ', 3 "which - as shown in FIG. 3 - are arranged in accordance with an arrow structure.
  • the cutting bodies consist globally of prismatic rods, with the rods 3, 3' forming the arrow tip their facing ends have mutually adapted inclined surfaces which lie in a common plane 7.
  • the cutting bodies 3, 3 ', 3''which are square in cross-section are otherwise oriented in relation to the end face of the tubular extension 1 such that one of their edges faces this end face, so that a diagonal line of the cutting body cross section extends perpendicularly to a cross-sectional plane containing the end face of the tube extension 1.
  • the third cutting body 3 "does not extend parallel to the plane of the end face of the pipe neck 1, but is employed at a slight angle to it, and in such a way that the radially inner tip 8 protrudes from the radially outer tip 8 * by a dimension 9 Said tip 8 can be located on the axis 5, so that the edge 8 ′′ describes the lateral surface of a circular cone during the drilling operation.
  • notches or recesses can be provided in the end face of the tube extension 1, into which the cutting elements are inserted, which are otherwise welded to the tube extension 1.
  • the drill head according to the invention has a drill bit which has a slightly protruding tip 8 in a central region approximately in the region of the axis 5, the rest of the radially outermost tips of the cutting bodies all being on one common circle with the outer radius 6 are located.
  • the drill head according to the invention can be in the simplest case of a pipe socket 1 and cut according to the arrow structure cut bodies 3, 3 *, 3 ", the end face of the pipe socket 1 possibly prepared by notches or other indentations, which are arranged in their arrangement to the cutting Then the cutting bodies are welded to the end face in order to form the arrow structure.
  • the tube attachment 1 and the cutting bodies can in principle be made of the same material.
  • the cutting bodies are then welded in a hardening process subjected to a hardness of about HRC 62.
  • An essential advantage of the drill head according to the invention is that the pipe socket can be part of a threaded sleeve usually used in boring bars, rock anchors, injection drill anchors or the like, so that - apart from the cutting bodies - the manufacture of the drill head is practical, apart from the cutting bodies can be used on components that are anyway required for the composition of a rock anchor, drill anchor or the like. There is therefore no need to keep specially adapted components ready for this purpose.
  • a drill head produced in this way can be used as a disposable drill head, for example in the case of injection drill anchors.
  • the drill head can be manufactured as long as the arrow structure of the cutting element arrangement is preserved.
