Definitions
- the present invention relates to a device for Bringing flat products together, in particular Printed matter, according to the preamble of the claim 1.
- a device of this type is known from EP-A-0 218 872 and the corresponding U.S. Patent No. 4,706,951. It points at an endless traction element one behind the other arranged support elements with pocket-like support members whose longitudinal direction is perpendicular to the direction of rotation extends. Trained as clamp transporters Feeders point in the direction of rotation of the Seen support elements, dispensing points arranged one behind the other on which by opening the concerned Brackets the printed products assigned to them be released so that they fall into the support organs.
- Each clamp transporter points one to its delivery point adjacent section in which the staple carrier in a vertical plane running in the circumferential direction and inclined from above onto the orbit of the Supporting elements too runs to be supported by a guide the lower, free edge of the transported in a hanging position Products in the loading opening of the corresponding Introduce support organs.
- the staple carriers run perpendicular to the relevant sections and around bow to these.
- the sections of the clamp transporters leading to the delivery points must have a certain length in order to with a high processing capacity, a safe and gentle one Introducing the products into the loading openings ensure what significant lengths and a corresponding space requirement of the device leads. Moreover the feeding devices run in curves to the delivery point, what with constructive and space-consuming effort connected is.
- a high speed of circulation speaks against that the feeders forming the feeders are one Have feed direction that is at least approximately rectangular to the direction of rotation.
- the products therefore experience sudden support elements Change in direction of movement that affects the Products are more disastrous the higher the feed rate and the orbital speed are. Therefore are relative to the processing capacity of the device modest upper limits.
- the inclination of the support elements also allows the formation of the feeders, without long, yourself sections extending in the circumferential direction.
- Tilting the support elements arranged at a distance may be less than the length of the products, measured in the longitudinal direction of the support elements only reasonable orbital speeds required what ensures gentle treatment of the products.
- the delivery of the products gentle on the support elements even when the Direction of feed at right angles or with a large acute angle to the direction of rotation. The products are gently diverted in the direction of rotation.
- At an acute angle of inclination is one of 0 ° and to understand angles deviating from 90 °; in which of course the longitudinal direction to the circumferential direction also in a supplement to the inclination angle obtuse angle.
- the device shown in Fig. 1 in plan view a matching conveyor 10 and multiple feeders 12 on.
- One in the direction of rotation U continuously driven endless traction element 14, for example a well known conveyor chain is in a channel 16 guided.
- the horizontally extending channel 16 has two parallel straight sections 18 on both ends are connected to one another by circular sections 18 '.
- At the Tension member 14 are support elements at a distance A one behind the other 20 arranged, each having a support member 22, the extends in the longitudinal direction L of the support element 20.
- the support elements 20 are in a pointed Tilt angle ⁇ arranged. In the example shown this angle ⁇ is approximately 30 °.
- Example 3 are the support members 22 with an L-shaped cross section with its flat wall that forms the longer leg 26 with respect to a vertical 24 at an acute tilt angle ⁇ arranged that is less than 60 °, shown in Example is about 30 °.
- the flat shorter leg of the Support member 22 forms the bottom 28 of the support element 20.
- Each of the feed devices 12 has a memory 30 for printed products 32 (see Fig. 5-12) on the fed to the support elements 20 by means of a conveyor member 34 become.
- the delivery points 36 of the funding bodies 34 and thus the feeders 12 are in the circumferential direction U seen, arranged one behind the other and the feeding devices 12 are destined for each under the delivery point 36 passing support element 20 each To deliver printed product 32.
- the feeders 12 are also inclined with respect to the direction of rotation U. namely by an angle ⁇ 'that corresponds to the angle ⁇ is complementary.
- the longitudinal direction L is therefore rectangular to the main axis 12 'of the feed devices 12.
- Fig. 1 From Fig. 1 it can be seen particularly well that the support elements 20 need some time to get each to move past a delivery point 36. It stands there due to the slanting time available, the printed products 32 to deliver to the support members 20.
- the feeders 12 do this can be designed differently, in particular it is conceivable that the feed devices 12 are generally known Feeders, belt conveyors or clamp transporters exhibit.
- a removal point is located downstream of the feed devices 12 39 arranged in which the brought together Printed products 32 removed from the support members 20 become. It is also conceivable for the point of withdrawal at the circular section 18 'to arrange, as well as other tapping points to provide.
- this is according to the invention Device can be constructed very compactly and therefore requires little space.
- the inclination angle ⁇ can be smaller, but also be greater than 30 °.
- the support members 22 are not absolutely necessary to tilt an angle ⁇ . This is especially true if the Support members 22 are, for example, rod-shaped, saddle-shaped pads for folded printed matter 32 to form the astride the support organs 22 are filed. 2 are such support members 22, which are also related to the angle ⁇ the direction of rotation U are inclined. Completeness half of it should be mentioned that with the same inclination the support elements 20, the traction element 14 also in the circumferential direction U ', which is opposite to the direction of rotation U, driven can be.
- Fig. 4 shows an embodiment of the matching conveyor 10, in which the longitudinal direction L of the support elements 20 in addition to the inclination by the angle ⁇ to one Horizontal 40 runs at an acute angle of inclination ⁇ . If the support member 22, as shown in FIG. 3, L-shaped in cross-section, it is advantageous additionally tilted to a vertical by the angle ⁇ .
- the delivery point is one of the feeders 12 indicated, in which in the feed direction Z in each case a folded dashed line Printed product 32 with the fold 42 opposite open edge 42 'of the so-called flower, ahead from each support member 20 is supplied.
- the Andes Delivery points 36 to a support element 20 supplied printed products 32 come with their edge 42 'on the floor 28 to the plant and to be flat next to each other, whereby the printed product 32 adjacent to the wall 26 on that wall lies flat due to the tilt position.
- FIG. 6 shows how it is designed in FIG. 5 and in the direction of rotation U driven support elements 20, which are now in the Delivery points 36 the printed products 32 with the fold 42 are fed in advance in the feed direction Z, so that they come to rest with their fold 42 on the floor 28.
- Fig. 7 shows two support elements 20 of the matching conveyor 10 with respect to the direction of rotation U around the Angle ⁇ inclined with respect to the vertical 24 ⁇ m tilted the angle ⁇ and 40 ⁇ m with respect to the horizontal the angle ⁇ are arranged inclined.
- the lengthways L running, overhead narrow side of the wall 26 of the Support member 22 serves as a saddle-shaped pad 46 for the Printed products 32, in the example shown in the feed direction Z with the edge 42 'ahead and opened fed and stored astride the support member 22 become.
- the wall 26 has a nose protruding upwards, which as Stop 48 for the printed products 32 is used.
- Stop 48 for the printed products 32 is used.
- the of the feeder 12 released printed products 32 come to rest on the pad 46 and slide up to the stop 48, which automatically aligns them become.
- the printed products 32 fed with a corner 50 ahead can be what allows the printed products 32 can only be opened at this corner.
- Next can Feed the printed products 32 with the corner 50 ahead the feed plane 44 from one to the longitudinal direction L parallel plane deviate significantly. Will that continue Traction member 14 driven in the direction of rotation U ' the stop 48 on the rear due to the inclination End of edition 46 and the support member 22. In this In this case, the stop 48 automatically approaches that facing it Side edge 52 of the feeder Printed matter 32 so that it even if the edition 46 would run in the horizontal direction, to one Aligning the printed products 32 against the stop 48 is coming.
- FIGS. 5 and 6 show a plurality of support elements 20 of the matching conveyor 10, which are arranged in the same way as in the embodiment shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, they are with respect to the direction of rotation U by the angle ⁇ inclined and with respect to the vertical 24 by the angle ⁇ tilted.
- the walls 26 face in the circumferential direction U seen as a result of the inclined rear trailing Side edge of a stop 48 for the printed products 32 on.
- the longitudinal direction L runs horizontally.
- the conveying members 34 of the feed devices 12 are as Belt conveyor 54 formed.
- Printed matter 32 are in a scale formation S, in which each Printed product 32 rests on the following one, resting on the belt conveyors 54 in the feed direction Z transported.
- the feed direction Z runs to a vertical plane 56 which is at the delivery point in question 36 runs in the circumferential direction U, from above against at the bottom and at an angle ⁇ .
- the printed products 32 that are on the Belt conveyor 54 with a perpendicular to the feed direction Z Fold 42 are arranged with a corner 50 supplied to the support members 20 in advance. That through the belt conveyor 54 defined feed plane 44 thus also runs with respect to the direction of rotation U oblique and can of a Parallel plane to the wall 26 of the moved past the delivery point 36 Support element 20 deviate.
- the conveying direction U runs from that of the belt conveyor 54 facing side of the printed products 32 on the that opposite side. This will show at the Scaling a peeling of the printed products 32 from each subsequent print product 32 achieved, so that each support element 20 with a printed product 32 each delivery point 36 is fed; Of course are the rotational speed of the support members 20 and Conveying speed of the belt conveyor 54 accordingly coordinated. It should also be noted that here an automatic alignment due to the inclination ⁇ of the printed products 32 at the stops 48 he follows.
- the matching conveyor 10 according to FIG. 9 is of the same type formed like that of FIG. 8, but with the direction of rotation U 'is opposite to the direction of rotation U.
- the inclination angle is also with ⁇ and Tilt angle indicated with ⁇ .
- the feeders 12 are also designed as a belt conveyor 54, the of these defined feed plane 44 approximately in the vertical Direction runs and the feed direction Z with respect to vertical plane 56 in running direction U ' an acute angle ⁇ obliquely and from above towards below runs.
- the printed products 32 are also shown in a scale formation S, but now in Seen towards the belt conveyor 54, each printed product 32 on the leading printed product 32 rests.
- a pair of pressure belts 58 together to create a nip for the printed products 32 form. Due to the inclination of the belt conveyor 54 with respect to the vertical plane 56 Printed products 32 again with a corner 50 ahead supplied to the support members 20. The direction of circulation continues U 'from that facing away from the belt conveyor 54 Side of the printed products 32 on the one facing Side, so that again in the scaling shown the printed product delivered to a support element 20 32 is separated from the following.
- a horizontal line 59 continues in the feed plane 44 with respect to the direction of rotation U 'at an angle ⁇ is larger than the inclination angle ⁇ , but preferably less than 90 °. This ensures that the Introducing the printed products 32 into the support elements 20 with a corner 50 ahead, which in the feed direction Z seen leading edge, in the example shown the fold 42, from the wall 26 substantially a constant distance maintains, resulting in particularly gentle handling the printed products 32 leads.
- the belt conveyor 54 such be arranged that a horizontal in the concerned Feed plane 44 to the direction of rotation U at an angle runs, which is smaller than the angle ⁇ . It is also easily possible, according to the belt conveyor 54 Fig. 8 also assign pressure belt pairs 58.
- Fig. 10 shows schematically in plan view the angle ⁇ inclined support elements 20 which in the circumferential direction U driven and on the tension member 14 in a row at a distance A are arranged.
- the matching conveyor 10 three trained as staple carriers 60 lead away Conveyors 34 of feeders 12, the with one adjacent to the delivery points 36 upstream section 60 'run in the horizontal direction.
- the clamp conveyors 60 have a rotating one Chain 62 spaced one behind the other, individually controllable transport clamps 64, which are intended for this purpose are to hold the printed products 32 hanging and in the feed direction Z to the matching conveyor 10.
- the feed direction is at right angles to the longitudinal direction L of the support elements 20 and thus with respect the direction of rotation U in a to the inclination angle ⁇ complementary angle ⁇ '.
- the device according to the invention becomes the printed products 32 from the side like for example 8 and 9 trained support members 22 of the Supplied support elements 20, one being supplied Printed product 32 between two adjacent support elements 20 is introduced.
- the concerned Transport clips 64 become the printed matter 32 released so that they on the support members 22 for Plant.
- the introduction of printed matter takes place in section 60 '.
- bracket conveyor 60 trained conveyor 66 arranged in plan view parallel to the clamp conveyors 60 of the feed devices 12 runs and is intended at the removal point 39 each have a support element 20 fed and thus brought together printed products 32 by means of a transport clamp 64 and to be transported away towards W.
- FIG. 11 shows part of a further embodiment of the matching conveyor 10 in a view parallel to the walls 26 of the support members 22, which with respect to the Direction of rotation U inclined by an angle ⁇ and with respect a vertical 24 tilted by the angle ⁇ are.
- From the lower end of the wall 26 is in the Form an L from the bottom 28.
- Next is on the wall 26 at least on the trailing, seen in the direction of rotation U, rear stop 48 arranged.
- brackets 70 From the train organ 14 at a distance A are brackets 70 from which holder 72, optionally adjustable, attached are on which in turn the support members 22 are arranged are.
- the conveying members 34 are located above the matching conveyor 10 shown by two feeders 12. You are as Belt conveyor 54 is formed and each is a pair of pressure belts 58 assigned. The printed matter 32 will in scale formation S the relevant delivery points 36 fed.
- the belt conveyor shown on the left in FIG. 11 54 gives 36 to each under the relevant delivery point passing support element 20 a printed product 32 from, similar to that shown in FIG. 8.
- the Distance between the floor 28 and the top wall 68 is greater than the extent of the printed products 32 in this direction, they are surmounted by the top wall 68, if they are on the floor 28 and on the wall 26 lie flat, as is the case with the third and fourth supporting elements 20 from the left is the case.
- a generally known opening device 76 For this purpose the printed products 32 with respect to the fold 42 Edge 42 'leading in the feed direction Z is conveyed.
- a support element 20 runs on the free hanging part 32 ", after which the opening device 76 releases part 32 '.
- the printed product 32 then engages around the relevant support element 20 from above and falls as soon as it is from the belt conveyor 54 and leaves the pressure gap pair 58 formed conveyor gap, astride edition 46, as shown by the shown on the far right in FIG. 11 and completely in FIG. 12 support element 20 shown on the left is the case.
