Definitions
- the present invention relates to a shredder according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such crushers are known as Choppers in specialist shops e.g. under the name ax 1800 or 2200 offered.
- the cutting roller designed as a so-called milling drum with a so-called Counter plate forms a convergent nip.
- the chopped material is introduced into this nip.
- a disadvantage of this type of construction is the limitation to a maximum Branch diameter.
- the known shredder so improve the automatic feed of the chopped material is essentially independent of branch diameter that exceed the nip dimensions.
- the invention therefore has the advantage that a non-blocking chopping operation is also guaranteed when large branches of soft wood are fed.
- the invention is therefore based on a combination effect between the branches running in the longitudinal direction of the branches supplied Splitting wedges on which branches of any kind in the longitudinal direction are first split open and transverse to the longitudinal direction of the riving wedges rotating past the cutting roller counterpart Cutting knives of the hollow drum, which is the longitudinally split Cut branch material smoothly in the transverse direction accordingly in cooperation with those in front of the cutting knives Chip passage openings that are two-dimensional, so to speak Then convey the shredded clippings out of the cutting area.
- the invention differs significantly from this the chopping device according to DE 44 14 222.
- the press plate provided there can be used do not guarantee crushing of the branch material. This leads to a blockage of the drive.
- the danger of Destruction of drive elements and the hollow drum is given. Any increase in drive power is off Strength reasons not possible.
- This will be the maximum allowable Size of chopped goods mandatory.
- the size of the chopped material depends on the diameter of the branches fed. Dry branches in particular are extremely important for the chopper difficult to process.
- the chop size is by Blocking limit of the drive is given.
- branches become smaller in diameter in the shredder according to this invention without further ado reliable even at slow speeds of the hollow drum crushed
- branches of medium to large and large diameter are initially through the longitudinal riving knife split lengthways and then from the cutting knives the hollow drum practically like the branches of the small diameter chopped across the length.
- the expansion of the chip passage openings in one to the hollow drum axial direction offers the additional advantage that cut material that threatens to jam is automatically driven in the direction of enlargement and Clamping is avoided.
- the hollow drum also has an ejection opening in this direction offers to that which enters through the chip passage openings Bring chopped material out of the inside of the hollow drum.
- the hollow drum with a very low speed of about 40 per minute.
- the drum shell has a large circumferential surface, a variety of cutting knives can be arranged.
- the figures show a shredder 1 for wooden Clippings 2.
- a motorized cutting roller 3 arranged on the Roll shell 4 is equipped with cutting blades 5.
- To the fed Chopping clippings 2 is parallel to the envelope, on which the cutting knives 5 run Cutting roller counterpart 6 arranged, which with the Cutting roller 3 in the feed direction 13 of the cut material 2 convergent nip 7 forms.
- the cutting roller 3 as Hollow drum is formed and that the hollow drum before the Cutting knives 5 is provided with chip passage openings 8.
- the direction of rotation of the hollow drum is circumferential Arrow indicated.
- the separated ones can now Pieces from the one located in the lower area of the hollow drum Chip passage opening 8 step out again in this way while maintaining the feed direction 3 am to be caught in the lower end of the shredder 1. It only depends on the orientation of the Drive shaft on.
- the drive shaft can have any position between the horizontal and vertical. An arrangement in such a way that the fed cutting material under the influence of gravity the hollow roller arrives and there from the rotating knives seized and direction to the gusset between hollow drum and cutting roller counterpart is pulled.
- the drive shaft 9 of the cutting roller 3 is horizontal arranged.
- the chip passage openings are advantageous 8 smoothed on the inside of the hollow drum so as to be chip-free.
- Chip passage openings 8 an angle between about 30 ° and 45 °. Extentions of up to 60 ° are possible. It has shown in practice that the dimensioning of the chip passage openings 8 of this size is completely sufficient Process clippings of all relevant sizes can.
- each of the cutting knives 5 a chip passage opening 8 provides that over the Cutting knife width 11 or slightly less, this effect is favored.
- the circumferentially go through and in this way a stable attachment zone for attaching the cutting knife 5 using fastening screws Allow 19.
- this hollow drum on the drive side 12 be on the fly.
- the drive shaft 9 with a suitable Ring flange is flanged to the hollow drum, e.g. via a ring flange screw connection.
- the intersecting arrangement promotes of drive shaft 9 and feed direction 13 the independent Feeding clippings 2.
- the riving knife 14 on the cutting roller counterpart 6 cause therefore during the automatic feeding of clippings 2 that this under increasing cutting pressure against the riving knife 14 of the cutting roller counterpart 6 is pressed.
- the fiber direction with such clippings is essentially parallel to the feed direction 13, this results in the clippings 2 being split in the fiber direction. Therefore, the crushing effect is additionally achieved even while reducing the cutting forces gets bigger and that in particular the rotting effect that is aimed at of the chopped material is improved.
- FIGS. 2 and 3 show the Splitting wedges 14 with their wedge tips 21 secantial on the Hollow drum. This means that the wedge tips continue beyond their ends facing the hollow drum, these would cut as a secant.
- the cutting roller counterpart 6 Shortly before the wedge tips touch the hollow drum the cutting roller counterpart 6 is cut by a space curve, which has the geometry of the hollow drum.
- the secantial riving wedges 14 running to the hollow drum are therefore penetrated by a conical cylindrical surface, which with the hollow drum geometry is identical.
- each wedge valley 22 Between the adjacent wedge tips 21 of the Splitting wedges each have a so-called wedge valley 22. Die The longitudinal extent of each of the wedge valleys 22 runs essentially parallel to the wedge tips 21.
- the space curve penetrates which the hollow roller represents the solid material of the cutting roller counterpart 6 so deep that the wedge valleys 22 are affected.
- the penetration curve therefore also cuts from the solid material of the cutting roller counterpart 6 a cone-cylindrical Area out.
- the approaching wedge valleys 22 are therefore also with their imaginary extension secantial to the hollow drum.
- One drawn into the wedge valleys 22 Material is therefore reliably rotated by the rotating past Cutting knives 5 detected and cut.
- chip passage openings 8 expand in an axial direction to the hollow drum. This happens in the direction of the projecting end of the hollow drum, that is, the end of the drive shaft 9 is opposite.
- the hollow drum has a front ejection opening 23 on.
- the hollow drum is ring-shaped there Zone limited.
- the ejection opening is located in the center of this zone 23.
- the housing of the shredder 1 has sufficient clearance, around the finely chopped material there the free To allow exit.
- the hollow drum is towards the drive end converging conically.
- the drive shaft 9 lies essentially horizontal. Therefore, the imaginary expands Envelope of the hollow drum interior so that on the lower The chopping material that has entered there Direction to the free end face is promoted.
- the cutting roller counterpart 6 on the housing of the shredder 1 be rotatably mounted.
- the rotary motion can either with the rotary movement of the hollow drum be coupled or the cutting roller counterpart can be free can be rotated.
- Plate 15 is pivotally mounted about an axis of rotation 17.
- the axis of rotation 17 stands with the housing of the comminution device 1 directly connected.
- the axis of rotation 17 is arranged upwards of the nip 7, so that when pivoting the stationary plate 15 of Distance between cutting roller and cutting roller counterpart is changeable.
- the adjusting screw 18 presses with its screw head from behind onto the stationary plate 15 and thereby prevented swiveling out over the stop of the adjusting screw 18 out.
- Fig.2 shows that the cutting knife 5 from separate Knives are formed by means of ends arranged Fixing screws 19 in the annular outer zones the hollow drum are screwed.
- the chopped material 2 is directed towards the feed hopper introduced to the slowly rotating hollow drum. Got it the chopped material with its introducer in the area of the rotating Hollow drum it gets from those passing by Cutting edges of the cutting knife 5 gripped and in the direction conveyed to the cutting roller counterpart 6. If the diameter of the clippings 2 less than the distance between two wedge tips 21 is, the clippings 2 can easily in the Area of a wedge valley 22 are drawn in while at the same time a promotional effect through the continuously rotating Cutting knife 5 takes place. That is why the clippings 2 pulled in the direction of the contracting gusset between the cutting roller counterpart 6 and the cutting roller 3 trains. The clippings 2 get under constantly growing Cutting pressure until the cutting knife 5 has a cross section can attach to clippings 2. The cut off gets into it Piece in the chip passage opening 8, the front the cutting knife 5 is arranged.
- the next rotating cutting knife 5 attacks the clippings that have now been cut off in the same way on and the process repeats itself.
- the diameter of the clippings 2 is greater than the distance between two wedge tips 21 becomes the clippings 2 in the same way from the rotating cutting knives 5 gripped and in the gusset between cutting roller counterpart 6 and hollow drum drawn into it.
- the clippings are on the back split in the longitudinal direction by the longitudinal wedge tip 21, so that there is a split in each of the adjoining wedge valleys 22.
- the one that continues to rotate Cutting knife therefore grips in each of the two neighboring wedge valleys each one of the resulting Split pieces and cut them while pulling in at the same time transverse to their grain.
- the invention practically achieves that independently of the starting diameter of the clippings 2 only ever Split pieces of a given maximum cross-section in the active Cutting area of the hollow drum are drawn. On this way, therefore, not only excessive shock loads avoided, engine power can be saved, it can accordingly slow running motor can be used.
- the longitudinal direction of the Riving knife 14 in an angular range of practically 0 ° Plus / Minus 30 ° to the funnel axis, and / or that between the shell of the hollow drum and the funnel axis any angle between 90 ° plus / minus 30 ° is possible.
- FIG 3 also shows a locking toothing 24 on the one hand on the adjusting screw 18 and on the other hand on the housing of the shredder 1 is provided.
- the teeth are held in mutual engagement via the tension spring 25, can, however, be used to adjust the tool gap 7 be separated against the spring force.
