Definitions

  • the invention relates to a container with a screw cap and attached raster ring as tamper-evident device according to the features in the preamble of claim 1 (cf. GB-A-1 360 949).
  • the container can be a sheet metal container such.
  • B. can be a bucket made of tinplate with filling and removal opening in the lid or a steel canister; however, the container can preferably be made of plastic and a mineral oil canister produced in the blow molding process, a hobbock, a facet, an adjusting container or a plastic container such as, for. B. a bung or a wide-necked barrel (lid barrel) with a barrel lid and clamping ring closure.
  • Such containers have at least one filling and emptying opening in their top bottom or in the attached separate lid, which is closed by means of a screwed-on screw cap.
  • the screw cap can e.g. B. for a bung or a barrel lid with bunghole opening as a bung plug.
  • canister screw caps with a separately prefabricated, attached raster ring as tamper-evident device, which tears off on thin connecting webs as predetermined breaking points when the screw cap is loosened or unscrewed for the first time.
  • the disadvantage here is that a separate injection mold is required for the separate spraying process for the slip-on ring.
  • the wreath must be attached separately, and it can e.g. B. fall during handling during filling, ie it is not machine-safe.
  • Canister screw caps with an integrated molded grid ring are also known, but these screw caps with grid ring are made of medium or low molecular weight plastic which has poor low-temperature strength properties. These screw caps have not proven themselves in industrial use because they do not meet the approval requirements for the low-temperature drop test.
  • a further disadvantage of all known designs is that the loosely screwed-on screw cap can become loose and get lost during the transport from the manufacturer to the filling station by shaking movements and vibrations. Then z. B. 100% dust protection is no longer guaranteed in a truck transport.
  • the tamper-evident ring or grid ring does not remain fixed on the threaded connector after unscrewing the screw cap and can therefore fall into the lower container to be filled when the liquid filling material is poured out, ie when the container is tilted.
  • a secure snap-in of the tamper-evident ring is not guaranteed when the screw cap is put on, and the connection points or connecting webs between the screw cap and the grid ring must only take up the circumferential, uneven tamper-evident ring load when screwing on and loosening the screw cap (when the connecting webs are torn off one after the other).
  • At least one is comparatively on the outer wall of the threaded connector or the lower threaded connector base or on the upward or optionally obliquely upward-facing side of the base or the container top
  • Flat projection is designed as a protruding cam, which, after slightly turning the screw cap by about one screw cap rotation behind one or more of the screw cap-side locking elements or the elastic spring tongues of the locking ring, arrives in a releasable rotation lock with a mutually retaining active connection in such a way that an automatic or unintentional turning back occurs the screw cap z.
  • the screw cap according to the invention can be fitted with a separately prefabricated one Grid ring be provided; in a preferred embodiment, the Screw cap or the bung together with an integrated molded grid Made of high molecular weight polyethylene (PE) and thus fulfills all approval-related requirements Requirements with good low-temperature strength properties.
  • PE high molecular weight polyethylene
  • the driver projections can also be implemented in the same manner of operation at the lower edge of the screw cap with a corresponding recess in the upper edge of the grid ring or as a combination of both designs.
  • reference number 10 denotes a plastic canister onto which a screw cap 12 with an integrally molded grid ring 14 is to be screwed.
  • the one-piece screw cap 12 and raster ring 14 are made of high molecular weight polyethylene (PE).
  • PE high molecular weight polyethylene
  • FIG. 2 it can be seen from FIG. 2 that the raster ring 14 is connected to the screw cap 12 only as a tear-off predetermined breaking points via a plurality of extremely thin connecting webs 16, preferably six. These connecting webs 16 have a small cross section of only about a square millimeter.
  • an upstanding driver projection 18 formed on the raster ring 14 with a right-hand vertical stop edge 20 and a left-hand sliding bevel 22.
  • a correspondingly shaped recess 24 is formed in the lower edge of the screw cap 12, into which the driver projection 18 projects in a form-fitting manner.
  • the driver projection 18 projects in a form-fitting manner.
  • four rectangular continuous recesses 26 are also formed, by means of which the height of the internal spring tongues 34 is reduced.
  • the raster ring 14 is correspondingly designed on its back.
  • FIG. 5 shows the filler neck 28 of the canister 10 with a lower base 30 in a side view and in FIG. 6 in a top view.
  • the sawtooth-shaped locking projections 32 are formed on the outer circumference of the base 30 in the direction of rotation.
  • FIG. 8 shows the screw cap 12 with a raster ring 14 which is to be screwed onto the filler neck 28 of a canister.
  • the screw cap 12 is already screwed onto the threaded connector up to the releasable pre-locking position.
  • the screw cap 12 with the raster ring 14 is securely pre-locked by the first spring tongues 34 or latching lamellae of the tamper-evident ring or raster ring in conjunction with the two torsion projections 36 or latching cams which protrude axially by approximately 1 to 2 mm on the upward or at an angle the ring surface of the filler neck base 30 pointing upwards.
  • the configuration according to the invention can be used in a corresponding manner for a bung plug. B. be carried out for a bung.
