Definitions
- the invention relates to a chair, in particular an office chair, with a height-adjustable backrest construction according to the generic term of claim 1, such an office chair is e.g. known from EP-A-0 210 584.
- the aforementioned adjustable height Backrest structures that are usually vertical running backrest bracket attached to a chair frame, a vertically slidable backrest on the backrest support with a preferably padded, ergonomically shaped backrest shell and a manually triggered locking mechanism between the backrest support and backrest shell to fix the backrest shell on the backrest support at different heights.
- a construction according to the labeling part of claim 1 proposed. Accordingly, is on the backrest shell at least one vertically extending row of locking projections arranged, the laterally open latching recesses between them form. On the backrest support is at least one locking slide across Height adjustment direction slidably guided to determine a Backrest height position releasably engages in one of the recesses. For height adjustment there is also a manually operable backrest support Trigger slide can be moved parallel to the height adjustment direction performed with the at least one locking slide via a wedge thrust gear is coupled.
- the advantage of this design is that all moving parts of the Locking mechanism - namely the locking and the trigger slide - directly on Backrest supports are attached. So the unity can be Backrest support, locking slide and release slide in a manufacturing-friendly Pre-assemble way and can then with the backrest be completed. Through the gear coupling between the locking slide and the trigger slide is the latching of the backrest solvable by a simple sliding movement of the trigger slide, which the required ease of use.
- the discussed simple construction of the subject of the invention forms one Basis for the backrest shell, the backrest support, the at least a locking slide and the trigger slide made of plastic material can be injection molded and all guide elements for mutual Sliding guide of the aforementioned parts in one piece with the respectively assigned Parts can be formed as indicated in claim 2 is.
- This measure considerably increases the ease of installation, since the individual parts only by mutual insertion into the corresponding guide elements can be assembled. Time consuming Assembly steps such as screw connections or the like can be omitted.
- Claim 3 teaches a particularly stable design of the heavily used Backrest support, which in cross section essentially Should be H-shaped. Due to this cross-sectional shape Backrest support statically very stiff, with that of the H side legs and the areas bounded by this H-center leg assembly areas to accommodate the locking mechanism and the trigger slide create.
- the height-adjustable backrest construction according to the invention builds very compact.
- An office chair according to the invention is in the accompanying drawing only the height-adjustable backrest construction is shown. Otherwise the office chair can be used in any usual way, e.g. with a roller frame, a height-adjustable rotating column, one Seat support and an upholstered seat thereon designed be.
- a backrest support 1 which is complete and in one piece is made of injection molded plastic.
- the end is the vertically extending backrest support 1 with an angle 2 provided, in which a receptacle 3 for a corresponding fastener is molded on the seat support, not shown.
- holes 4 in the bend 2 can be screws for rigid connection of the backrest support 1 can be used on the seat support.
- Backrest 5 guided vertically. It consists of one anatomically shaped backrest shell 6 facing the user Side is provided with padding 7. On the back is the backrest 5 is provided with a cover shell 8, the backrest support 1 via an opening 9 between the backrest 6 and cover shell 8 protrudes into the space 10 between these two parts.
- the backrest support 1 is covered on a horizontal section plane a flat H-shaped cross section on, whereby two longitudinally extending H-side legs 12, 13 and an H center leg 14 connecting them become.
- On the two mutually facing outer sides 15 of the side legs 12, 13 are each facing the backrest shell 6
- Edge protruding projection protrusions 16 formed in one piece, around the vertical guide rails 17 on the backrest shell 6 reach around.
- the guide strips 17 are in one piece on the Back 18 of the backrest shell 6 molded.
- a vertically running double row of locking projections 19 is arranged, the latching recesses 20 which are laterally open between them form.
- stop projections 21, 22 are also provided, which are still in to be explained in more detail after the assembly of the backrest structure the displacement movement of the backrest shell 6 on the backrest support 1 limit up and down.
- the double row of locking projections 19 together with the stop projections 21 and 22 strictly designed symmetrically to the central longitudinal plane M of the chair.
- the locking slides 23, 24 have a flat cuboidal slider body 27 on the to the median longitudinal plane M sides each locking lugs 28 in one piece are molded.
- the slide body 27 On the back facing away from the latch 28 the slide body 27 each have integrally molded centering pins 29 on which a helical compression spring 30 is placed at one end is. The respective helical compression spring is supported at its other end 30 in pocket-shaped depressions 31 in the respective H-side legs 12, 13 from.
- the locking slides 23, 24 are in the direction by the helical compression springs 30 to the central longitudinal plane M - i.e. in the direction of engagement E - spring-loaded, around the engagement position of the locking lugs 28 in the respective locking recesses 20 and thus a stable fixing of the backrest 5 on Ensure backrest support 1.
- Trigger 11 is on the outside 32 of the H-center leg 14 of the backrest support 1, a manually operated trigger slide 33 intended.
- This has a cuboid-shaped shell Main part 34, whose parallel to the height adjustment direction H Side chews 35 are provided with guide webs 36 pointing inwards are.
- the latter each engage in a pair of hook-shaped guide lugs 37 on the outside 32 of the H center leg 14 of the backrest support 1, which is used to form a sufficient guide length a clear distance in relation to the height adjustment direction H is arranged are.
- the Trigger slide 33 In the area of its lower end, which emerges from the intermediate space 10 protrudes downwards between backrest 6 and cover shell 8, the Trigger slide 33 on an elevation 38, which acts as a handle part the trigger slide 33 is used.
- the main part 34 sits in two in relation to Middle longitudinal plane M symmetrically arranged coupling links 39, 40, the on their outer sides facing away from each other with a wedge bevel 41 are provided.
- the two wedge slopes 41 are directed so that they form an acute angle that opens downwards.
- the ends of the coupling members 39, 40 each have an outward-facing one Stop leg 42 on the associated wedge 41 limit at its inner end. Between the two coupling links 39, 40 also leaves a spacing gap 43.
- the two wedge bevels 41 are a functional part of the release slide 33 and the locking slides 23, 24 formed wedge thrust gear. These two functional parts are coupled via one each Coupling pin 45, which protrudes from the upper side 46 of the slide body 27, reaches through the H center leg 14 of the backrest support 1 and with of the associated wedge bevel 41 is in contact.
- the penetration the coupling pins 45 of the two locking slides 23, 24 take place via a common, Recess 47 transverse to the height adjustment direction H in H-middle leg 14, starting from its center a parallel has extension 48 extending upward to the height adjustment direction H.
- the recess 47 is thus T-shaped in plan view (Fig. 3, 4).
- the highest position of the backrest 5 is as an example Backrest support 1 shown.
- the trigger slide 33 is in its downward pushed rest position, in which the locking slide 23, 24 engage with their locking lugs 28 in the lowest locking recess 20.
- the coupling pins 45 of the locking slide 23, 24 lie on the stop legs 42 of the coupling links 39, 40, whereby the Rest position of the trigger slide 33 is defined.
- the trigger slide 33 is the trigger path A (Fig. 4), which through the above the coupling links 39, 40 molded on the backrest support 1 stop pins 44 is limited pushed up. Via the gear coupling of the bevel 41 with the coupling pins 45, the locking slide 23, 24 are pressed outwards, so that their locking lugs 28 are lifted out of the locking recesses 20 become.
- the backrest 5 can then, for example, be shown in FIG. 4 lowest position - or in one of the in between lying recesses defined rest positions - are spent.
- the trigger slide 33 By pushing the trigger slide 33 back into its rest position (Fig. 3) the locking slide 23, 24 under the influence of the coil springs 30 pushed inwards so that their locking lugs 28 in again immerse the corresponding recesses 20.
- the backrest shell 6, the Backrest support 1, the locking slide 23, 24 and the trigger slide 33 with all its guide elements, stops, projections and the like are made in one piece from injection molded plastic, so that the height-adjustable backrest construction with a conceivably small one Number of individual parts is sufficient.
