Description

Plattenradiator Plate radiator
The invention relates to a plate radiator with a permanently installed valve and connection set, which is provided with a control valve arranged on one side of the plate radiator, which is arranged on the radiator plate inlet connection, which is also placed there and opens into an upper radiator plate collection, and which contains connecting pipes which lead from the control valve and from a radiator plate return connection opening into a lower radiator plate collecting duct of the plate radiator to the radiator-side detachable screw connections provided at the bottom of the plate radiator.
Plate radiators of the aforementioned type are known, in which the permanently installed valve and connection set is arranged following a side edge of a radiator plate, and both the radiator plate inlet connection, on which the control valve is arranged, and the radiator plate return connection are located on the same side of the radiator are located, and the screw connections of the valve and connection set, which are to be connected to the leads leading to the radiator, are also arranged in the area of the edge on which the control valve and the radiator plate return connection are located. Such a design of a plate radiator can lead to reduced performance and to inconveniences or difficulties when installing such radiators in various applications. In the case of larger lengths of plate radiators, zones with reduced heat dissipation can form in the areas of the radiator remote from the radiator plate inlet connection and from the radiator plate return connection, because the circulation becomes weaker with increasing distance from the radiator plate connections, a phenomenon which is particularly the case with plate radiators due to this type of radiator given higher flow resistance can appear increasingly and lead to reductions in heat dissipation. The connection fittings of the connection fittings placed in the area of a side edge require an exact placement of the supply ends, which must be precisely adapted to the generally different radiator sizes provided at the individual radiator installation positions of a system, which increased Care must be taken when laying the cables. If there is a need to install a different radiator than was considered in the planning and laying of the supply lines, this may result in an optically unfavorable placement of the radiator in question or may even result in the need to change the supply lines in order to To be able to accommodate the radiator at all. Such circumstances can occur, for example, when the radiators, as is often the case, are installed in window recesses.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a radiator of the type mentioned at the beginning, in which good and uniform heat emission is given even under difficult operating conditions and which can also carry out the work required in terms of line laying and assembly in a very simple and largely standardized manner.
The plate radiator according to the invention of the type mentioned at the outset is characterized in that the detachable connecting screw connections are arranged in the center of the underside of the radiator and from these connecting screw connections a connecting pipe fixedly arranged in the radiator leads to the control valve and a further connecting pipe fixedly arranged in the radiator to one in the half of the longitudinal extension of the plate radiator opposite the control valve leads to the radiator plate return connection which opens into the lower radiator plate collecting duct and that these connecting tubes are preferably made of steel. With this training, the above-mentioned objective can be met well. The central arrangement of the screw connections of the valve and connection set on the underside of the radiator makes it possible to arrange or lay the supply lines or their ends intended for connecting the radiators in the rooms to be heated in a largely standardized manner and, for example, in the middle of windows ¬ niche to open and thereby achieve a balanced attachment of the radiator largely independent of the size of the radiator to be provided at the respective connection point, for example in the case of attachment in a window recess, a center-symmetrical arrangement of the radiator, regardless of the size required in each case, what it also makes it possible to use a different size of such a radiator than in an original concept was provided, without this requiring a change in the position of the outlets of the feed lines and without having to accept a clearly noticeable change in appearance in the case of such a change in the radiator sizes. The connection of these screw connections provided together with the central arrangement of the screw connections in the middle of the underside of the radiator with a control valve arranged laterally at the top of the radiator and with a radiator opening into the radiator plate collecting duct running below in the half of the longitudinal extension of the plate radiator opposite this control valve plate return connection, the heating medium entering a radiator plate inlet connection arranged at the control valve into the radiator plate in question, regardless of the radiator size, results in a largely uniform flow through the radiator plates, so that practically no reductions in heat emission, such as, for example, in the above-mentioned one-sided placement of flow connection and return connection are present. It is also possible at any time to use different radiator sizes than originally designed if the heat requirement changes, without having to change the supply lines. These advantages add to the favorable properties with regard to operation and control, which result from the arrangement of the radiator control valve on the top side of the radiator. The disadvantages of previously known radiators with centrally placed connecting screw connections, namely reduced heat emission and unfavorable regulation and operation of the valves, are also avoided.
A preferred embodiment of the plate radiator designed according to the invention, in which there is a very uniform flow even with large radiator lengths, is characterized in that the radiator plate return connection opens into the lower radiator plate collecting duct on the side of the plate radiator opposite the control valve.
A further preferred embodiment, which offers advantages in particular in that a heat transfer from the incoming to the outgoing heating medium is prevented in the area of the connecting screw connections, and further one structurally very simple design of the screw connections allowed, is characterized in that the line connections are arranged separately next to each other.
The preferably provided design of the connecting pipes made of steel is advantageous both in terms of avoiding galvanic corrosive effects and in terms of largely avoiding differences in the thermal expansion in the area of the radiator and also creates the possibility in the area of the radiator with a single connection technology, namely welding, to be able to produce all connections in an economical manner with very good durability.
In the interest of a structurally extensive simplification and a saving in assembly steps in the area of the connection screw connections and in the interest of achieving good mechanical stability in the area of the connection screw connections and avoiding the provision of different metals up to the ends of the connection screw connections, one can advantageously provide an embodiment which is characterized in that the connection screw connections are formed with union nut tube connections which are formed from the end sections of the connection tubes coming from the control valve and from the radiator plate return connection and union nuts threaded onto these, the end section of these connection tubes is provided with a collar formed by a non-cutting radial Ausfal¬ tion, on which the union nut comes to rest when screwing onto a threaded counterpart located on a feed line.
It is advantageous for the connection of the screw connections of the radiator with the leads leading to the installation site of the radiator if one provides that connecting pipe ends that follow the collar freely end; this design enables a mutual guidance of the screw connections and the supply lines when assembling and at the same time also results in a good guidance or a good fit of ring seals which can be inserted into the union nut tube fittings.
Another embodiment of the plate radiator provided in the context of the invention is characterized in that the connecting screw connections are formed on a rotatable and releasable coupling containing two line paths in a concentric arrangement, which has a radiator connecting part to which the connecting pipes are connected and a supply connecting part provided with the connecting screw connections. This embodiment offers the advantage that the radiator can be pivoted around the geometric axis of the rotatable coupling during assembly, which on the one hand simplifies the laying of the supply lines, since positional tolerances of the supply lines can be compensated for by the possibility of pivoting the radiator, and by Swiveling the radiator under certain circumstances, the position of the control valve can be changed if the desire or the need for this occurs.
The plate radiator according to the invention can have one or more radiator plates which are in flow connection with one another, and the radiator plates can be designed without or with convection plates.
In der Zeichnung zeigt:The invention will now be explained further by means of examples with reference to the schematically kept drawing. The drawing shows:

The control valve 5 is located on the lower collecting duct 9 or the half 11a of the longitudinal extension 11 of the plate radiator 1 opposite the radiator plate inlet connection 6 and the radiator plate return connection 10. Here, in the case shown in FIG. 1, the radiator plate return connection 10 is placed on the side 4b of the plate radiator opposite the control valve 5, opening into the lower collecting duct 9, ie diagonally opposite the control valve 5. The radiator plate return connection 10 can, however, also be provided in the half 11a of the longitudinal extension of the plate radiator, offset further inwards, as indicated in FIG. 1 by the cross 10a. In the middle of the underside 4c of the plate radiator 1, the connection screw connections 12 provided for connecting the plate radiator to supply lines are arranged. The permanently installed valve and connection set 3 of the plate radiator 1 also include connecting pipes which lead from the connection screw connections 12 to the control valve 5 and to the radiator plate return connection 10. The connecting pipe to the control valve 5 is designated by 13 and the connecting pipe leading to the radiator plate return connection 10 is designated by 14. These connecting tubes, like the radiator plate 2, are formed from steel and are welded to the likewise steel valve housing of the control valve 5, which can optionally be provided with a thermostatic head, and to the radiator plate return connection 10, which is also made of steel, and it is also the mentioned housing of the control valve is welded to the radiator plate inlet connection 6 and this radiator plate inlet connection 6, like the radiator plate return connection 10, is welded to the radiator plate 2. The connecting pipes 13, 14 are fastened to the radiator plate 2 by means of holding brackets 15 or similar holding elements.
