Definitions
- the present invention relates to a hollow body for use as a seat pad with a support area, a seating area and a transition area arranged between them.
- Seat pads are generally known, which are pillow-shaped (seat cushions). These seat pads are filled with elastic or resilient filling material, e.g. with springs, foam or the like, and on the other hand designed as an air cushion, the rigidity of the seat pad being achieved by a gas volume enclosed in the seat pad.
- the object of the present invention is to provide a seat pad with a simple To provide design and handling which, when used, bring about an ergonomically advantageous sitting position or posture, in particular dynamic sitting, for the person sitting on it.
- a hollow body for use as a seat pad with a support area, a seat area and a transition area arranged therebetween, the support area and the seat area being essentially flat and the transition area being bead-shaped.
- a hollow body according to the present invention leads to a dynamic sitting of the person sitting on the hollow body, whereby tension, permanent malposition, nerve irritation and pain conditions in the lumbar and spinal region are avoided or partially. be diminished or cured.
- the shape of the hollow body according to the invention can also be used in publicly accessible areas, since there is no risk of rolling away due to the flat contact surface.
- the hollow body according to the invention can also serve as a support for known chairs with a backrest, whereby e.g. An expensive substructure or support structure that is indispensable for the seat balls is no longer necessary and the hollow body is thus used without any problems.
- the hollow body according to the present invention preferably comprises a hollow body skin made of a plastic which preferably contains, in particular plasticized, polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
- PVC polyvinyl chloride
- the hollow body skin has a thickness in the range from 1 to 10 mm, further preferably from 2 to 8 mm and most preferably from 4 to 6 mm.

- the height H of the hollow body is in particular about 8 to 10 cm and is in particular such that when the hollow body is used on a chair with a backrest, the person sitting on it can lean comfortably on the backrest of the chair. This requirement advantageously allows use, for example, in schools, where it is prescribed to reduce the risk of injury to the children that the chairs should have adequate backrests.
- FIG. 3 schematically shows the movements generated by a person 110, 110 'sitting on the hollow body 100, 100'. The movements are exaggerated for illustration.
- the elastic configuration of the skin of the hollow body 100, 100 ' which is formed in particular from plasticized polyvinyl chloride, causes, as with the known seat balls, that part of the forces generated by the load on the person in shear forces or to the surface 120 of the chair essentially parallel forces are implemented. These shear forces cause slight tilting or rocking movements (indicated by the double arrow B in FIG. 3) of the person 110, 110 'sitting on the hollow body.
- the hollow body 100 can deform under this various load (see under 100 ') and follows the movements of the person.

Abstract
Description
- Fig. 1
- ist eine perspektivische Ansicht eines Ausführungsbeispiels des Hohlkörpers gemäß der vorliegenden Erfindung;
- Fig. 2
