Definitions
- the invention relates to a repeater pipette according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such repeating pipettes are known to serve through Gradually advancing the piston of a reciprocating pipette repeats small liquid cans with high dosing accuracy output, with the dosing amount per piston step is adjustable between a maximum and a minimum.
- a repeater pipette of this type is from the DE-OS 29 26 691 known.
- the pawl of the piston jack mechanism hinged to a manually operated swivel lever, from an upper end position by a certain amount Distance is pivotable down, and the engagement control consists of a between rack and Pitch arranged elongated cover plate, which means an adjusting element more or less far in the stroke of the Jack can be advanced.
- rack and cover plate with such interacting elements trained that towards the end of the possible total displacement of the pipette piston and thus also the rack Cover plate is lifted off the rack so far that thereafter no more engagement between the pawl and the rack can be done to avoid a volume not defined, only part of a full piston stroke step corresponding residual step can take place.
- the actuator is as a sliding body displaceable in the direction of piston advance formed in which a stop sleeve is rotatable, but axially immovable is installed at its lower End with a successive step-like in the circumferential direction Set of gradations is provided depending on Adjustment of the stop sleeve optionally with a fixed one Interact limit stop.
- the invention is therefore based on the object Repeater pipette to create which none of the disadvantages of known repeating pipettes, i.e. the one hand no incomplete remaining steps of the piston feed allows, but on the other hand is designed so that in none Case a noteworthy unused remaining volume in the The pipette remains.
- every setting is the intervention control element, i.e. each stroke step size setting, a corresponding rack stop is assigned, the pull-up stroke when pulling the piston limits that the possible piston feed path when emptying the pipette is just a multiple of the piston feed step size matters.
- the elevator path of the piston is a multiple of the feed step size plus a constant marginal safety distance of corresponds for example to half a millimeter, so that at fully advanced piston this still on average this safety distance from the pipette end wall is about tolerances of the piston stroke pipettes and their pipette pistons to consider. In any case, only one remains minimal, negligible residual volume in the pipette.
- Fig. 1 shows the repeater pipette according to the invention in side view from the outside.
- This has a housing 10 on which below a receptacle 11 with a clamping lever 12 for receiving and locking a piston pipette P, and in the upper region a handy profile 13 and a finger stop 14 is formed.
- FIG. 2 The internal structure of the repeater pipette is shown in FIG. 2 shown longitudinal section can be seen. This is something kept schematic to the essential elements of the invention to show more clearly.
- the lower end region of the housing 10 has the receptacle 11 for a (not shown in FIG. 2) Piston stroke pipette P with the clamping lever 12 for locking it on.
- the clamping lever 12 is in turn in FIG Tensioned position extended and dashed in its release position shown; the recording 11 itself is only shown schematically since they are not part of the invention forms and therefore not described in detail becomes.
- the invention relates to the formation of the piston propulsion mechanism, the housed in the upper part of the housing 10 is and enlarged in Fig. 3 approximately on a scale of 2: 1 is shown.
- Fig. 3 is in the following Description of the piston jack mechanism of the particular Referred.
- the piston propulsion mechanism 20 has one in the housing 10 slidably guided rack 21 with its lower End with a coupling element for gripping the upper End of the pipette piston is coupled (see Fig. 2: there on the one hand, the rack is in the top end position shown, on the other hand, the rack is also below broken off in the lowest end position with the coupling element shown).
- the return lever 16 On the rack 21 is the return lever 16 in the form of a through a slot 17 of the housing protruding nose arranged.
- the piston propulsion mechanism 20 also has a pawl 22 on that radially deflectable in the lower end of a sliding body 23 is articulated, at the upper end of the handle 15 is attached.
- the sliding body 23 is within one Sleeve 24 slidably guided.
- the rack 21 runs outside the sleeve 24 parallel to its axis, that is along a surface line of the sleeve 24.
- the sliding body 23 has an eccentrically fastened therein to the axis of the sleeve 24, but axially parallel to it Rod 25 in the form of a screw, which is also the attachment the handle 15 is used and in a housing-fixed Guide bushing 18 is slidable.
- the screw head the screw 25 serves in cooperation with one Paragraph of the guide bush 18 as a limit stop Determination of the upper end position of the sliding body 23.
- a between a lower one, formed on the guide bushing 18 Spring seat and an upper, formed on the sliding body 23 Spring seat built-in helical compression spring 26 tensions the Slide body into its upper rest position.
- the sleeve 24 is axially fixed, but rotatable in the housing 10 installed and one piece above with an adjusting ring 27 connected, which is knurled on its circumference and for example over the finger stop 14 by a corresponding one Housing opening is accessible.
- the rotatable sleeve 24 with a number of steps in the circumferential direction successive gradations 30 provided either by rotating the sleeve via the adjusting ring 27 can be positioned over the rack 21.
- the Setting ring 27 is conveniently with a scale provided, and the upper end wall of the housing can have the corresponding reference mark.
- Whichever stage 30 of the lower end of the rotatable Sleeve 24 is set over the rack 21, covered the lower end of the sleeve 24 the rack 21 in the direction of the jack stroke more or less far, and the jack comes 22 earlier or during a stroke of movement of the sliding body 23 later, so during a more or less large one Section of the total stroke, with the rack in Intervention and thereby creates a more or less large Pipette plunger feed step.
- the rotatable sleeve 24 is on the outer circumference of her upper area with a number of limit stops 40 for the return movement of the rack 21 when the Pipette piston provided.
- limit stops 40 are considered to be circumferential successive end face areas one at the top Sleeve area formed, axially stepped in the circumferential direction outer ring shoulder trained.
- Each lower gradation 30 of the sleeve 24 is an upper one outer limit stop 40 assigned.
- the single ones upper limit stops 40 are each axially positioned so that with the associated adjustment of the piston feed step size by the associated lower gradation 30 of the sleeve 24 of the pipette piston lift path an integer Multiples of the piston feed step size (plus a fixed, small safety distance for the pipette piston from the lower pipette end wall in the lowest Piston position to accommodate tolerances).
- the upper gradations 40 are designed so that in the Position with step size 1 tooth pitch one piston lift path corresponding to 49 tooth pitches (results in 49 strokes of 1 tooth pitch each), or in the position with step size 2 tooth pitches a piston lift path corresponding to 48 tooth pitches (results in 24 strokes with 2 tooth pitches each) or in the position with a step size of 3 tooth pitches, a piston travel of 48 Tooth pitches (gives 16 strokes of 3 tooth pitches each), or in position with step size 4 tooth pitches Piston winding travel corresponding to 48 tooth pitches (results in 12 Strokes of 4 tooth pitches) or in the position with Step size 5 tooth pitches a piston lift path of 45 Tooth pitches (results in 9 strokes of 5 tooth pitches each) is,
