Definitions

  • the invention relates to a tamping unit for track tamping machines for tamping two immediately adjacent sleepers of a track, with at least two pairs, one behind the other on a height-adjustable tool holder in the machine longitudinal direction, each of which has a tamping pick connected to an eccentric shaft via an auxiliary drive, for immersion in the ballast having external and internal Darning tools, one of the - with respect to the machine longitudinal direction - arranged on both sides of the inner tamping tools outer tamping tools with the help of its own height adjustment drive is independently height adjustable relative to the other tamping tools.
  • Such a tamping unit for tamping two immediately adjacent sleepers is described by AT 384 447 B.
  • This tamping unit is equipped with a central vibration drive, which is connected to the inner tamping tools and the two outer tamping tools via auxiliary drives.
  • Each of the two external tamping tools is connected in an articulated manner to the tool carrier by means of a parallelogram-type lever arrangement and is height-adjustable in a vertical plane running parallel to the machine longitudinal direction by means of a height adjustment drive located between the levers. This height adjustment can be carried out independently of the height adjustment of the common tool holder.
  • EP 0 208 826 B1 is a tamping unit for tamping two immediately adjacent sleepers, in which each tamping tool is connected to an eccentric shaft provided centrally on the common tool carrier by means of its own auxiliary drive.
  • One of the external tamping tools has a specially designed tamping pick, which can be adjusted in height in a height guide connected to the tamping tool with the aid of its own drive, independently of the other tamping tools or from the tool carrier.
  • EP 0 314 933 A1 it is also known to plug two adjacent sleepers by means of two single-sleeper tamping units arranged directly behind one another in the longitudinal direction of the machine. These are each height-adjustable independently of one another and can also be lowered independently of one another in work use - for tamping only a single threshold.
  • tamping units for tamping three immediately adjacent sleepers, which have three pairs of tamping tools per longitudinal side of the rail. These are in equal parts - i.e. three tamping tools each - mounted on two tool carriers arranged one behind the other in the longitudinal direction of the machine, each of the two tamping tools forming the middle pair of tamping tools being assigned to one of the tool carriers.
  • the middle threshold can only be fully plugged when both tool carriers are lowered at the same time.
  • the object of the present invention is to create a tamping unit of the generic type with an improved load capacity of the independently height-adjustable external tamping tool.
  • the height-adjustable external tamping tool practically becomes an independent tamping unit, in which any adjustment mechanism that weakens the structural strength between the tool carrier or tamping tool and tamping pick is eliminated.
  • This is without the slightest impairment of the high mechanical strength of the tamping tools, especially for their rapid immersion in the Ballast ballast, a practically instantaneous changeover for optional tamping of one or two sleepers is possible simply by influencing the loading of the two height adjustment drives. Since the tamping tool can now be designed and stored with high stability in the conventional manner, any weakening of an adjustment mechanism known from the prior art, which is caused by the permanent effects of vibration, is also eliminated.
  • the tamping machine 1 which can be moved continuously during work, has a machine frame 3 supported on rail running gear 2 and a satellite frame 4 which can be displaced longitudinally relative to the machine frame 3. This serves to support a tamping unit 7 and a track lifting / straightening unit 8 designed for tamping two immediately adjacent sleepers 5 of a track 6.
  • the various drives are controlled by a central control device 9.
  • the tamping unit 7 has two immediately adjacent inner tamping tools 10, 11 on each longitudinal side of the rail and two outer tamping tools 12, 13 arranged on both sides thereof in the machine or track longitudinal direction. While the two inner tamping tools 10, 11 and the one outer tamping tool 12 are mounted on a common first tool carrier 14, the other outer tamping tool 13 mounted on a second tool carrier 15.
  • the second tool carrier 15 has a vibration drive 16 with an eccentric shaft 17, on which an auxiliary drive 18 connected to the external tamping tool 13 is rotatably mounted.
  • the second tool carrier 15 is slidably mounted on a vertical guide 19 and height-adjustable by means of a height adjustment drive 20.
  • the outer tamping tool 13 which is pivotably mounted on the tool carrier 15 about an axis 21 that runs perpendicularly to the machine longitudinal direction and horizontally, is connected in its lower end region to a tamping pick 22.
  • the eccentric shaft 17 of the vibration drive 16 is arranged on the side of the second tool carrier 15 facing away from the first tool carrier 14.
  • the guide 19 is located with respect to the longitudinal direction of the machine between the axis 21 of the outer tamping tool 13 and the eccentric shaft 17.
  • the guide 19 of the second tool carrier 15, which is rectangular in cross section, and further guides 23 for height adjustment of the first tool carrier 14 are on a common unit frame 24 stored, which is connected to the visible in Fig. 1 satellite frame 4.
  • the inner tamping tools 10, 11, which also have tamping picks 22 and are mounted on the first tool carrier 14, and the one outer tamping tool 12 are connected to an eccentric shaft 26 of a further vibration drive 27 via auxiliary drives 25.
  • the inner tamping tools 10, 11 with their auxiliary drives 25 are arranged symmetrically with respect to a vertical plane of symmetry 29 leading through the axis of rotation 28 of the associated eccentric shaft 26.
  • the first tool carrier 14 can be adjusted in height with the aid of a height adjustment drive 30. Both height adjustment drives 20 and 30 can be coupled for common or synchronous loading by means of the control device 9.
  • the two height adjustment drives 20 and 30 are actuated synchronously, then the two tool carriers 14, 15 are simultaneously lowered and thus all the tamping picks 22 are immersed simultaneously for tamping two adjacent sleepers 5.
  • the inner and outer tamping tools 10 to are also lifted 13 by synchronous loading of the two height adjustment drives 20.30.
  • any obstacle appears that makes it impossible for the assigned tamping pick 22 to plunge into the ballast ballast only the height adjustment drive 30 is acted upon to lower the first tool carrier 14, whereby only the two tamping pick 22 of the inner tamping tools 10, 11 and the Immerse the tamping pick 22 of the one external tamping tool 12 into the ballast ballast for tamping.
  • the independently height-adjustable outer tamping tool 13 is arranged in front of the other tamping tools 10, 11, 12 in the working direction of the tamping machine 1.
