Definitions
- the invention relates to a plastic closure for closing a mouth area of a container according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such a plastic closure is known from WO 80/001061 A1 known for a container.
- the plastic closure has a lid associated with the container mouth from which an annular side wall extends.
- the plastic closure still has one Sealing device closing the container, the one originating from an abutment, pivotable sealing lip is formed, the sealing lip with a the container mouth surrounding side wall of the container cooperates.
- the sealing lip arises from the inner surface the side wall and is at a distance from Lid of the plastic closure arranged.
- the abutment of the sealing lip is part of the side wall.
- the Sealing lip from its rest position into one Sealed position pivoted in which they are essentially runs horizontally and between the abutment and the side wall of the container clamped in this way is that they have an essential part their thickness is subjected to compression.
- the Sealing effect of the known sealing lip is in essentially achieved by putting it on of the plastic cap on the container is applied with elastic restoring forces be so that the sealing lip in some areas pressed against the side wall of the container becomes.
- An embodiment of the closure is preferred, where the circumferential tab after the Place the plastic closure on the container is bent in areas and flat on the Side wall of the container is in contact. It works Such pressure inside the container against the tab that its bent area is pressed against the side wall of the container. In this way, the sealing effect of the Sealing device with increasing internal pressure of the Container. If the internal pressure of the container exceeds a certain dimension, the sealing lip can with avoid the flap following the pressure, if necessary also fold down. In any case, the interior of the container released and blowing off, so that the container ruptures with certainty is to be excluded.
- the blow-off pressure of the closure can or by the length of the sealing lip of the bent area of the tab varies become.
- Another embodiment of the closure is preferred because of its sealing device has at least one pressure web, which the tab the sealing lip when closed of the container presses against its side wall. On this way, a higher sealing effect of the sealing device ensured, that is, folding the sealing lip takes place in this embodiment at a higher internal pressure of the Container.
- An exemplary embodiment is also preferred of the closure, in which the contact web is a circumferential Ring web is formed, being in the contact area at least between the ring web and the sealing lip a gas passage is provided, the internal pressure inside the container on the back of the bent area of the sealing lip leaves so that this against the side wall of the container is pressed. In this way, the overpressure of the container held by the closure increase.
- an embodiment of the closure preferred, based on that Cover is provided a stop that when putting on of the closure with the mouth of the container surrounding face cooperates, so that a defined locking torque is adjustable is.
- the stop again has at least one Gas passage so that the inside of the container acting pressure penetrate the stop and can reach the tab of the sealing lip, so that, as stated above, the internal pressure in the container is pressed against the side wall.
- the plastic closure has the sealing device a washer on the mouth area of the container spanned.
- the outside diameter the sealing washer is chosen so that its outer edge area with the sealing lip cooperates.
- the edge area of the sealing washer in the closed state of the container between the sealing lip and the side wall of the container pinched, the one hand the sealing lip compressed and on the other hand a more dense Termination between the side wall of the container and Sealing washer is achieved by the sealing washer from the sealing lip against the container is pressed.
- the sealing washer provided with a hooking device which is preferably bent by a Edge portion of the disc is formed.
- the Sealing lip when closing the container through the bent edge section into its sealing position panned.
- the sealing lip is now between its abutment and the side wall of the Container jammed, here between the Abutment opposite end of the sealing lip and the side wall of the container of the sealing washer is pinched.
- the plastic closure 1 has a lid 3, the bottom of the cup-shaped closure forms. It serves to close the mouth area of the container to be closed.
- a circumferential, ring-shaped goes from the cover 3 Side wall, the inside with a Locking device, not shown here can be provided with appropriate facilities interact on the outside of the container.
- the locking device can be designed in this way be that the plastic closure as Screw lock or as a bayonet lock also designed as a so-called wide-neck closure is.
- On the outside of the side wall can be used Increased grip of the plastic fastener 1 ribs 7 may be provided.
- the sealing lip 9 is formed in one piece with the plastic closure 1 and arises at a distance from the lid 3 from the inner surface of the side wall 5, which here as Abutment 15 of the sealing lip 9 is used.
- the radial innermost edge of the sealing lip 9, that is the abutment 15 opposite end 17 of the Sealing lip, includes an inner radius that on the outside diameter of the container to be closed is coordinated.
- the sealing lip 9 of the sealing device 11 is circumferential, that is, it forms one on the inside of the plastic fastener 1 encircling ring on the outer side wall of the container to be closed.
- FIG. 2 An exemplary embodiment according to the invention is shown in the partial view in FIG a plastic closure 1 can be seen, which is placed on a container 19 is. Parts which correspond to those in FIG. 1, are provided with the same reference numbers, so in that respect to the previous description is referred.
- the partial section according to FIG. 2 shows the edge area of the container mouth to be closed 21.
- the lid 3 of the plastic closure should completely span the container mouth 21.
- Starting from the edge of the cover 3 extends the annular side wall 5 around which the Container mouth 21 surrounding outer surface 23 of the Side wall 25 of the container 19 runs around.
- an external thread 27 as a fastening means provided that with appropriate fasteners of the plastic closure 1, here with a Internal thread 29 interacts.
- Outside on the side wall 5 are the grip of the closure 1 increasing, for example parallel to the axis of rotation of the plastic fastener ribs 7 intended.
- Plastic seal 1 distinguishes the sealing device 11 according to the invention in that from that Abutment 15 opposite end 17 of the sealing lip 9 a serving as an actuator Tab 31 with the claimed structure springs out, which is formed all around here is and an extension of the sealing lip 9 represents.
- the length of the sealing lip provided with the tab 31 9 is chosen so that it is so far in the Interior of the plastic closure 1 protrudes that the diameter of one of the inner edge 33 of the tab 31 circumscribed circle is smaller than that Outside diameter of the container 3. So the Plastic closure 1 applied to the container 19, so that the inner edge 33 is adjacent Area of the tab 31 bent upwards so that with her now towards the not shown here Axis of rotation of the plastic closure Inside 35 on the outer surface 23 of the side wall 25 container 19 abuts.
- the length of the Sealing lip 9 with the tab 31 is chosen so that this also with a fixed plastic closure 1 the end face 37 of the container, which the Mouth 21 surrounds, not touched.
- the tab 31 is due solely to their spring action against the side wall 25 of the container 19 is pressed.
- the sealing lip 9 is here between the inner surface 13 of the side wall 5 and the outer surface 23 of the container 19 are clamped in that it is compressed.
- the tab 31 in its the inner edge 33 adjacent area is bent upwards, and thus at least partially essentially parallel extends to the outer surface 23 of the container 19, it is pressed against the outer surface of the container, if one working inside the container Pressure up to the outside 39 of the tab 31 arrive and this against the outer surface 23 of the container 19 can press.
- a gas connection between the inside of the container 19 and the outside 39 of the tab 31 is in Figure 2 indicated by arrows.
- the length of the tab 31 is chosen so that it with its inner edge 33 not against the bottom of the Lid 3 strikes when passing through a container 19 bent into the position shown in Figure 2 is.
- the inner edge 33 be equipped with a special shape, for example, have a corrugation to a Gas connection between the outside 39 of the tab 31 and to ensure the interior of the container 19 even if due to unfavorable dimensional tolerances the tab 31 with its inner edge 33 against the bottom of the lid 3 are pressed should. In this way it is ensured that the pressure prevailing inside the container Go outside 39 of the tab 31 and this against can press the outer surface of the container. Consequently a very good sealing behavior of the Ensure plastic lock.
- the plastic fastener 1 is a pressure bridge 41 provided, which here as starting from the cover 3 Ring bead is formed. It is also possible that the contact bridge as immediately in Transition area between cover 3 and side wall 5 extending annular bead is formed -other as shown in Figure 2 - not quasi free-standing arises from the lid 3.
- the one as a freestanding Ring bead formed, shown in Figure 2, pressure bridge can individual along an imaginary However, protrusions distributed in a circular line also have formed as a continuous, annular projection be. A very good sealing behavior of the sealing device 11 is guaranteed, though if there is a contact bridge, a gas connection between the inside of the container 19 and the outside 39 the tab 31 is guaranteed.
- the blow-off pressure can on the one hand can be varied by arranging the contact bridge: If the inside diameter of the pressure bridge is reduced, becomes the tab with greater force pressed against the outer surface of the container. At Larger inner diameter of the pressure bridge is accordingly the contact pressure is reduced and the blow-off pressure reduced.
- the power with which the tab against the outer surface 23 of the container 19 is pressed also by width and number of the recesses 43 are predetermined. At very wide recesses remain relatively narrow There are webs with which the contact web connects the tab presses against the outer surface 23 of the container 19. In this way there is a lower blow-off pressure set.
- the contact pressure with which the tab 31 on the one hand to the outer surface 23 of the container 19 and on the other hand the pressure web 41 against the tab 31 presses, is still influenced by the fact that the Plastic closure 1 more or less wide the container 19 is screwed.
- a stop 45 which at Screw the closure 1 onto the end face 37 of the container 19 strikes and a further pressing of the lid 3 on this end face 37 prevented. Due to the height of the stop, this can Sealing behavior of the closure can be set.
- the stop 45 can be several along an imaginary one Circular line, which is preferably concentric too the pressing web 41, distributed projections have or a continuous annular Rib, the cross section of which is exemplary according to FIG is essentially triangular.
- a dashed line is indicated in FIG. 2, that in the area of contact between stop 45 and End face 37 at least one gas passage 47 is provided is, for example, by several grooves is realized in the contact area of the stop 45 are introduced. That way an unimpeded gas exchange with the inside of the Container 19 ensured so that an excess pressure the tab 31 against the outer surface 23 of the container 19 can press.
- the plastic closure 1 is only one indicated by the circumferential line of its side wall - container 19 and closes it pressure tight. It is placed on the container by suitable Fasteners, for example by a screw thread, but also for example any locking means resulting in a positive connection held.
- the at a distance from the cover 3 of the closure 1 springing from its side wall 5 Sealing lip 9 is by the with Container engaging and with its the inner edge 19 facing section bent tab 21 pivoted into its sealing position while the Tab essentially parallel to the outer surface 23 of the container 19 runs and rests there sealingly.
- the tab is also from the contact bridge 41 against the outer surface 23 of the container 19th pressed with a gas connection between the interior of the container and one of the tab and the sealing lip 9 limited pressure chamber 49 ensured is.
- a stop 45 from the underside of the cover 3 arise, which has gas passages 47, through the overpressure inside the container between the end face 37 of the container and the stop 45 through and through the recesses 43 reach the pressure chamber 49 in the pressure web 41 can.
- the schematic diagram according to FIG. 4 shows that the sealing lip 9 and the tab in front screwing the plastic closure 1 on a container 19 starting from the side wall 5 rectilinear, that is, without any bending areas, extend into the interior of the closure 1 and at a distance from the cover 3 originate from the inner surface 13 of the side wall 5.
- the inner edge 33 of the tab runs along an imaginary circular line, the inside diameter is smaller than the outer diameter of the outer surface 23 of the container 19. This is the to Inner edge 33 adjacent area of the tab 31 bent upwards when placed on a container 19, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 and was explained.
- FIG. 5 finally shows an interior view schematically a cover 3 of a plastic closure 1.
- the design of the pressure bridge 41 are explained in more detail.
- the stop 49 explained in the remaining figures omitted here.
- the pressure web 41 is in that shown in Figure 5 Embodiment as a continuous, running along an imaginary circular line annular projection formed on his facing the central axis 51 of the plastic closure
- Provided with several gas outlets on the inside is by rectangular recesses 43 are realized.
- the recesses are here evenly on the inner surface of the pressure bridge distributed. However, their number and distribution is freely selectable as long as there is a gas connection between the inside of the container 19 and the pressure chamber 49 is guaranteed.
- the fact that the pressure chamber 49th with the inside of the container 19 to be closed is in gas connection, the tab, the part the boundary wall of the pressure chamber 49 is against the outer surface 23 of the container 19 is pressed in a sealing manner.
- FIG. 6 again shows a highly schematic Partial section through a plastic closure, whereby reproduced here another embodiment is.
- the basic structure of the plastic closure corresponds to the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 1, so that on the description of this Figure can be referenced. Same parts are provided with the same reference numbers.
- the plastic closure 1 according to FIG. 1 draws is characterized in that the sealing device 11th except for the sealing lip that serves as a counterhold here 9 has a sealing washer 53, the Outside diameter larger than the outside diameter of the container 19 is. Your outer edge area 55 interacts with the sealing lip 9, as below will be explained in more detail.
- a hooking device 57 which engages with the sealing lip 9 when the plastic closure 1 is screwed onto the container 19 becomes. It includes a bent one here Edge section 59, which is either circumferential can be or single from the edge of the sealing washer May have 53 originating barbs. The edge portion 59 is outward, that is, in Direction towards the inner surface 13 of the side wall 5 bent and is in the unlocked state of the Closure 1 arranged below the sealing lip 9, that is, at a greater distance from the cover 3 as the abutment 15 of the sealing lip 19th
- the sealing washer 53 spanned the entire Mouth area of the container 19. It is conceivable that an opening in the middle of the sealing washer is provided, that is, a sealing ring instead the disc is used.
- the the mouth area of the container spanning area the sealing washer 53 runs essentially parallel to the underside of the cover 3 and spanned practically the entire end face 37 of the container. Near the outside edge of the container goes the area parallel to the lid or central area of the sealing washer over into the edge area 55, which is at an angle runs away from the inner surface of the cover 3 and finally in the here again practically horizontal extending edge portion 59 merges.
- the Sealing washer is so large here that due to their inherent elasticity inside of the plastic closure 1 hooked.
- the sealing washer is, like the plastic closure, out Made of plastic and designed as a separate part. Instead of the sealing washer shown here can also be a non-preformed one Disc use.
- the plastic closure is shown in FIG 1 without applying pressure to the container 19 put on.
- FIGS. 7 and 8 show how the sealing device 11 when closing the Container 19 behaves. Otherwise they differ the representations in Figures 7 and 8 are not of that in Figure 6. The same parts are therefore the same Provide reference numerals. In this respect it is based on the representation according to Figure 6 referenced.
- the sealing washer 53 When the closure 1 is pressed onto the container 19, the sealing washer 53 is used as a counter-holder serving sealing lip 9 against the outer surface 23 of the side wall 25 of the container 19 pressed.
- the dimensions of the sealing lip 9 are so chosen that their opposite the abutment 15 End 19, the sealing washer 53 firmly against squeezes the outside of the container without the Shear off or press off the disk.
- the measured between abutment 15 and the end 17 So length of the sealing lip depends on that Inside diameter of the closure, from the outside diameter of the container to be closed and on the thickness of the sealing washer.
- the length of the sealing lip 9 is chosen so that them together with the washer 53 respectively whose edge region 55 has an inner diameter circumscribes that before the closure is applied on a container is slightly smaller than its outside diameter. This expresses himself Container 19 against during the closing process the inner surface of the edge portion 55 of the sealing washer 53.
- the Sealing lip more and more from the obliquely downwards trending rest position in their - essentially horizontal- sealing position shifted what from a Comparison of Figures 6, 7 and 8 clearly visible is.
- the sealing lip runs a little flatter than in the illustration Figure 6.
- the sealing lip in such Position pivoted that the bottom is practical horizontal, so more or less parallel runs to the inner surface of the cover 3.
- the end 17 the sealing lip is between the abutment 15 and that on the outer surface 23 of the container 19th clamped washer so that subjecting the sealing lip to compression becomes.
