Description

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Glasabdeckung für Möbel od. dgl., bestehend aus einer in einen Kunststoffrahmen eingesetzten Glasplatte, wobei der Kunststoffrahmen mit Seitenschenkeln den Glasplattenrand umfaßt und Griff- und/oder Halterungsteile aufweist.
Glasabdeckungen für verschiedenste Möbel, Schränke, Truhen, Vitrinen u. dgl. gibt es als liegende oder stehende Schiebedeckel oder -türen, als hochklappbare oder aufschwenkbare Klappdeckel oder Flügeltüren u.s.w., wobei die Glasabdeckungen oft Glasplatten oder andere durchsichtige Abdeckplatten besitzen, die zur Kantensicherung, zur Verbesserung der Gleiteigenschaften für eine Schiebebewegung, zur dichten Anlage an einem Randprofil od. dgl. mit einem Kunststoffrahmen eingefaßt sind, wobei diese Kunststoffrahmen bisher aus einzelnen Strangprofilstücken zusammengesetzt werden. Die Herstellung solcher Glasabdeckungen ist daher recht umständlich und aufwendig und darüber hinaus auch noch mit beträchtlichen Herstellungstoleranzen verbunden, wozu noch kommt, daß die Strangprofile verhältnismäßig stark dimensioniert sind und die daraus entstehenden Kunststoffrahmen die Sichtfläche der Glasabdeckung und häufig auch die Dichtheit dieser Abdeckung beeinträchtigen. Da außerdem die Kunststoffrahmen der Glasplatten auch Griff- und/oder Halterungsteile zur Handhabung oder Abstützung der Glasabdeckung tragen, müssen diese Griff- und/oder Halterungsteile in einem eigenen Arbeitsschritt nach dem Setzen der Kunststoffrahmen aufgeklebt oder aufgeschraubt werden, was den Herstellungsaufwand weiter vergrößert und bei längerem Gebrauch der Glasabdeckung ein Lockern oder Ablösen der Griff- und/oder Halterungsteile befürchten läßt.
Gemäß der DE-A-2 234 226 wurde auch schon vorgeschlagen, Zierprofile aus Kunststoff direkt an Möbelteile anzuspritzen, wozu der Kunststoff durch ein Loch von der Unterseite her in eine an der Oberseite des Möbelteils, vorzugsweise im Bereich einer Aufnahmenut aufgespannte Spritzform eingespritzt und dann das Loch wieder verschlossen wird. Hier kommt es allerdings nur zu einem recht schwachen Zusammenhalt zwischen Profil und Möbelteil, so daß diese Profile wegen ihrer geringen Belastbarkeit als Träger für Griffe od. dgl. ungeeignet sind und auch bisher bei der Herstellung von Glasabdeckungen keine Verwendung fanden.
Der Erfindung liegt daher die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine Glasabdeckung der eingangs geschilderten Art zu schaffen, die sich durch ihre aufwandsarme Herstellung, ihren sauberen und einwandfreien Kunststoffrahmen, ihre Funktionssicherheit und Lebensdauer auszeichnet.
Die Erfindung löst diese Aufgabe dadurch, daß der Kunststoffrahmen in an sich bekannter Weise direkt an der Glasplatte angespritzt ist, wobei im Bereich der Griff- und/oder Halterungsteile die Seitenschenkel über wenigstens einen durch ein Loch der Glasplatte ausgeformten Quersteg miteinander in Verbindung stehen. Das direkte Anspritzen des Kunststoffrahmens ermöglicht eine rationelle Fertigung der Kunststoffeinfassung für die Glasplatten mit verhältnismäßig engen Fertigungstoleranzen und erlaubt gleichzeitig mit dem Anspritzen des Kunststoffrahmens an den gewünschten Stellen auch das Ausformen von Griff- und/oder Halterungsteilen. Um dabei durch die im Bereich dieser Griff- und/oder Halterungsteile auftretenden höheren Belastungen ein Ablösen des Kunststoffrahmens von der Glasplatte zu verhindern, was wegen der fehlenden Verbindung zwischen Glas od. dgl. und Kunststoff zu befürchten wäre, sind die im Bereich dieser belasteten Teile liegenden Seitenschenkel über Querstege, die sich durch vorbereitete Glasplattenlöcher erstrecken, miteinander verbunden. Diese Querstege wirken wie Niete und führen zu einer sicheren und hochbelastbaren Befestigung der Griff- und/oder Halterungsteile an der Glasplatte durch eine Formschlußverbindung.
Bilden die Seitenschenkel des Kunststoffrahmens verbreiterte Befestigungslappen, die mit den Griff- und/oder Halterungsteilen versehen sind, kann bei ansprechender Gestaltung für eine entsprechend große Auflagefläche der Griff- und/oder Halterungsteile auf der Glasplatte und für die Anordnung ausreichend vieler Querstege gesorgt werden, ohne den übrigen Rahmenbereich unnötig überdimensionieren zu müssen. So lassen sich solche Kunststoffrahmen außer mit Griffteilen auch mit höher belasteten Halterungsteilen, wie Verschlußansätze, Scharnierlager od. dgl., einwandfrei ausstatten.
In der Zeichnung ist der Erfindungsgegenstand anhand eines Ausführungsbeispieles näher veranschaulicht, und zwar zeigen
Fig. 1 und 2
einen Teil einer erfindungsgemäßen Glasabdekkung in Draufsicht bzw. im Querschnitt nach der Linie II-II der Fig. 1.
Eine in Form eines Glasschiebedeckels ausgebildete Glasabdeckung 1 besteht aus einer Glasplatte 2, an der direkt ein Kunststoffrahmen 3 angespritzt ist, wobei der Kunststoffrahmen 3 mit seinen Seitenschenkeln 4 den Rand 5 der Glasplatte 2 umfaßt. Beim Anspritzen des Kunststoffrahmens 3 werden gleichzeitig an den Seitenschenkeln 4 verbreiterte, Griffteile 6 bildende Befestigungslappen 7 angeformt, die durch Löcher 8 der Glasplatte 2 hindurch sich erstreckende, im Zuge des Anspritzens sich ausformende Querstege 9 miteinander verbunden sind, so daß ein fester, hochbelastbarer Halt des Kunststoffrahmens 3 an der Glasplatte 2 vor allem im Bereich des Griffteiles gewährleistet ist.

Claims (2)

  1. Glasabdeckung (1) für Möbel, wie z.B. Schränke, Truhen oder Vitrinen, bestehend aus einer in einen Kunststoffrahmen (3) eingesetzten Glasplatte (2), wobei der Kunststoffrahmen (3) mit Seitenschenkeln (4) den Glasplattenrand (5) umfaßt und Griff- und/oder Halterungsteile (6) aufweist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Kunststoffrahmen (3) in an sich bekannter Weise direkt an der Glasplatte (2) angespritzt ist, wobei im Bereich der Griff- und/oder Halterungsteile (6) die Seitenschenkel (4) über wenigstens einen durch ein Loch (8) der Glasplatte (2) ausgeformten Quersteg (9) miteinander in Verbindung stehen.
  2. Glasabdeckung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Seitenschenkel (4) des Kunststoffrahmens (3) verbreiterte Befestigungslappen (7) bilden, die mit den Griff- und/oder Halterungsteilen (6) versehen sind.
