Definitions

  • the invention relates to an angular profile rail for closing or connecting floor and wall coverings, with a fastening leg and an end leg projecting therefrom, the profile height of which is less than the profile length of the fastening leg, which has large-area adhesive passage openings arranged along its length and between at least some of these arranged, different sized pressure breaks.
  • Such an angle rail is known from EP-A-0394036.
  • the adhesive through openings are arranged in two rows of the fastening leg. Between the two rows of openings there is a hole-free strip, the width of which is greater than the width of each of the adjacent adhesive through-openings.
  • the latter are therefore comparatively small in the known proposal, which is disadvantageous insofar as the tiles or tiles can only be glued directly to the substrate in these small passage areas.
  • Round holes are provided between some adhesive through-openings, which are used to nail the rail. None else is said in this document about the distribution of the round holes and the way of producing them.
  • the sum of the opening cross-sections in the fastening leg is only a fraction of the total area of the fastening leg per unit length.
  • the tiles cannot be glued directly to the surface.
  • the adhesion to the substrate is strongly influenced by the fastening of the rail to the substrate. Since this is often not flat, nailing or screwing on the rail is problematic, especially if the fastening holes are only in a central row of the fastening leg, because there may be cavities under the rail edges, so that the profiled rail cannot be mounted wobble-free. Even after the rail has been pre-fixed, subsequent fine adjustment is not possible.
  • the object of the invention is to further develop an angle profile rail of the type mentioned in such a way that it maintains its tile edge protective function as little as possible to prevent the tiles from sticking to the substrate and, moreover, if necessary with pre-fixing and subsequent fine adjustment, a particularly secure attachment in a precisely defined manner Position on the ground allowed.
  • the rail designed according to the invention has a recurring pattern which is composed of large-area adhesive through-openings and an arrangement of much smaller fastening holes. Thanks to this measure, not only the adhesive passage openings but also the fastening holes can be punched in one operation over the entire length of the recurring pattern.
  • the recurring pattern length is 150 mm in one exemplary embodiment, so that even very long profile rails can be fixed to the substrate at comparatively short longitudinal distances, and thanks to the elongated hole and / or double hole design, the positions for the fastening elements can be selected within certain limits.
  • the length of the elongated hole or that of the corresponding double hole pattern is equal to the length of the adhesive passage opening measured in this direction, the scope for inserting the fastening screws is made as large as possible, but the edge web width required for the stability, in particular of long profile rails, is not reduced.
  • the transverse extension of the elongated hole or the double hole pattern should not be smaller but also not larger than the largest transverse dimension of the adhesive passage opening.
  • the adhesive passage openings can be rectangular, but also parallelogram-shaped or alternating in shape, trapezoids offset by 180 °.
  • the elongated holes or double holes are parallel to the adjacent oblique trapezoidal or Parallelogram page.
  • the corresponding arrangement of the elongated holes is selected depending on whether an adjustment of the angle rail in the longitudinal direction or transversely to it is in the foreground.
  • Elongated holes are preferably provided in the longitudinal and transverse directions in each recurring pattern, so that these rails can be used universally.
  • An elongated hole lies adjacent to a pair of round holes, the imaginary square surrounding this three-hole group having the same size as the square tangent to the adhesive passage opening.
  • Such a three-hole group simply replaces an adhesive passage opening in the recurring hole pattern, offers a plurality of fastening positions and nevertheless has no adverse effect on the stability of the rail.
  • the angle profile rail 10 has a thin, long fastening leg 12 and a terminating leg 14 protruding therefrom at right angles.
  • fastening leg 12 large-area adhesive through-openings 16 and elongated holes 18, 20 and round holes 22 are provided.
  • the openings 16 are square with rounded corners and extend over most of the length of the fastening leg 12, with a slightly wider between the edge 16 of the opening 16 facing the end leg Longitudinal web 24 remains between the opposite opening edge and the free end of the fastening leg 12.
  • This longitudinal web 26 remaining at the leg end is approximately half as wide as the opposite longitudinal web 24.
  • the one measured in the longitudinal direction of the rail 10 Width is approximately half the width of an opening 16.
  • Figure 4 illustrates a rail section that is punched at a clock feed.
  • the punching pattern is repeated in the subsequent rail sections, so that in the exemplary embodiment the group of fastening holes 18, 20, 22 shown is arranged after a group of six adhesive through-openings 16.
  • the recurring pattern has a length of 150 mm, for example, with a 2-meter or 3-meter-long rail, the mounting holes 18-22 return every 150 mm.
  • the fastening holes 18, 20 are elongated holes, the elongated hole 20 extending in the longitudinal direction of the rail and having a length which is equal to the length of each of the openings 16 measured in the longitudinal direction of the rail.
  • the elongated hole 18 extends at right angles to the longitudinal direction of the rail and has a length measured in the depth direction equal to the width of the opening 16 measured in this direction. Since the openings 16 are square, the elongated holes 18, 20 are also of the same length. These elongated holes have a width of 4 mm or at most 5 mm and serve for the passage of a fastening screw with which the tile end rail can be screwed to a surface.
  • 1-3 are countersunk screws, the shaft diameter of which is smaller than the width of the elongated holes 18, 20, so that the screw head is partially immersed in the elongated holes 18, 20, so that the screw head is at most about 1 mm above the fastening leg 12 above protrudes.
  • a transverse web 28 is formed between the transverse elongated hole 18 and the adjacent opening 16, the width of which is equal to that of the transverse webs between the openings 16.
  • a narrow longitudinal web 26 is formed, which has the same width as that between an opening and this leg end.
  • the two fastening holes 22 are nail holes and serve to penetrate a suitable nail 32.
  • the nail holes 22 are round holes with a diameter of 3 mm.
  • the two nail holes 22 are at the same distance from the end leg 14 as the openings 16 and the edges of the two holes 22 facing away from one another in the longitudinal direction of the rail are at a distance equal to the greatest length of the elongated hole 22.
  • the two holes 22 are located in the longitudinal half facing the end leg of the fastening leg 12, and the slot 20 is in the other longitudinal half.
  • the two holes 22 and the elongated hole 20 are touched on the outside by a square that is equal to the square opening 16.
  • Figures 1-3 illustrate the fixing options that the mounting holes 18-22 offer in a tile end rail.
  • the two elongated holes 18, 20 result in the rail 10 being able to move.
  • the rail can be adjusted transversely to the longitudinal direction. Thanks to this setting option, the rail can also be pivoted slightly. Compared to this depth or height compensation, the longitudinal slots 20 enable the length of the rail to be compensated.
  • the rail can optionally be fastened near the end leg 14, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 or close the end of the fastening leg 12 are screwed using the elongated hole 20, as illustrated in Fig. 1.
  • Fig. 3 two oblong holes 18, 20 lying at right angles to each other are used in each half of the fastening leg for screwing, these two oblong holes 18, 20 not necessarily belonging to a hole pattern section.
  • the group of fastening holes 18-22 illustrated in FIG. 4, for example thus allows a multitude of fastening options, so that different conditions of the subsurface can be taken into account.
  • the longitudinal half of the fastening leg 12 associated with the free end of the fastening leg is well supported, so that a hole or hole region in this leg half is used to fix the rail. If, on the other hand, the rail 10 were nailed or screwed into the longitudinal half facing the end limb 14, the freedom from wobbling would no longer exist and the rail 10 could tip in this area.
  • Fig. 2 are the conditions of the underground vice versa.
  • the region of the fastening leg adjacent to the end leg 14 is well supported, so that screwing into this longitudinal half of the fastening leg 12 is appropriate.
  • the longitudinal half adjacent to the free end of the leg is well supported, so that here, for example, a further good fastening possibility is provided through the hole 20.
  • the hole pattern according to FIG. 4 represents only one of many exemplary embodiments.
  • the oblong hole 18 lying in the transverse direction can also be arranged between two openings 16 and the 3-hole group 20, 22 can be introduced between another pair of openings.
